My husband and I had been planning on building a wall unit for over a year and kept putting it off because of the hefty expense. Once we decided to go forward, I researched numerous companies. My experiences with Steven and BlackForest Woodworking was by far much superior to others. Not only was he the most responsive and patient, but his quote was very competitive. Working in the retail industry, I know what good customer service consists of, and Steven's got it right. From initial consultation, we didn't doubt his attention to detail and we were definitely not disappointed with the end result. The finished piece is a beautiful addition to our living room. Our only regret was not doing it sooner!

Istvan called us back quickly when we contacted him for a quote. He had great ideas that he shared with us and helped us find someone to do the needed masonry work. He was punctual and attentive to all details and completed the work in a timely manner. He cleaned up at the end of each day. We are very pleased with the work that he did and we would not hesitate to recommend him to others.

Our experience with Blackforest Woodworking was such a wonderful one. Istavan ( Steven) was so personal and professional from the first time we met him and his work shows true quality and craftsmanship. THe build - in cabinets are the most beautiful part of our living room and the detailed work catches everyone's eye that walks into our house. We were so impressed with the level of customer service we received and the quality of work we hired him again to do a bar in our dining room that we are looking forward to having in a few weeks.

Steven worked on 2 projects for me and I couldn't be happier with the finished product. From our very first meeting with Steve to the final installation, we have found him to be extremely professional and corteous. We priced out stone mantles and even faux stone mantles and found the prices and look a bit over the top---too heavy and traditional. We have a modern, open concept home and wanted something modern/ traditional but we needed it to look like it was meant to be there. We wanted something clean and bright to hi-light our living room. Steve had a tough job as there was a black marble facing around the fireplace that had to be worked in.His measurements had to be very precise as he was cutting around baseboard and fitting in the marble which extended onto the floor. His solution is just so stunning, clean, bright and perfect. We got a whilte fireplace mantle with decorative pillars and an elegant carving in the middle. Steve and his colleague arrived on time, laid drop clothes, was polite, kind and tidy....a true 'star'. We are absolutely thrilled with our mantle and cannot wait to put photos of our family and mementos on top. This company is the way to go for fireplace mantles.
