    Commercial Lighting

    The service from Van City was excellent. Cory replied to my call promptly. Their electrician (forgot his name) was pleasant and helpful. He arranged for the scissor lift as the lights are high in a warehouse. He worked efficiently didn't leave a mess and was customer focused. I would highly recommend them.

    Electrical

    Misc small electrical projects

    I had a few small projects: A run of lights was not working, my oven was not working, a ceiling fan to install, and a couple of other small things. Cory was great - he was pleasant to deal with and even gave me instructions on how to use my multimeter. He diagnosed the problems with the lights and the oven, and although he did not have the right parts to install, he helped me buy them online and gave me good instructions on how to install them myself. My only problem is that I did not look at the list of things I wanted done and forgot to mention one item. As the first hour charge is much higher to factor in travel time etc., it is expensive to get a very small job done alone. My recommendation is you make a list of the things required, and look then look at it. I am sure you will be happy with Cory's work.

    Variety of electrical jobs for a newly purchased older home

    The Home Inspector report for our newly purchased home indicated a number of potential electrical hazards to be re-mediated. Vancity Electric evaluated the hazards, and in each case and educated me on the city codes, the severity of the hazards, the options to address the hazards, and the associated costs - in each case I felt I received all of the information required to make an informed decision. Once I decided on what needed to be done, Vancity Electric performed each of the jobs professionally and efficiently.

    Installation of electrical for Heat pump installation.

    Vancity Electric was contacted on short notice to install the electric service to a dual Heat Pump installation. They showed up on time with all the required material. Their employes were punctual, pleasant and very professional. They completed the job with no mess, well within the time constraints and on budget. Thank you, I now have a much more comfortable and happy wife!

    Repair breaker and install a dining room light fixture

    Cory was punctual and quickly sourced out basement power outage which he repaired. He gave me some advice about my electrical panel without pressure to get the work done. He changed out my dining room fixture and went above and beyond by running out to pick up bulbs that were not included. Friendly and efficient. Hope to have you back to update my electrical panel in the new year.

    Home Renovations

    I have worked with Vancity Electric numerous times over the last 5yrs+ and still continue to receive great workmanship, integrity and quality.     Plug & Ceiling outlet installation

    Friendly, honest and quick. Good communication. Very clean. Would do business with again or refer to friends / family. Cost did not vary from estimate. Was able to pay online.

    installations in kitchen

    If I were given a scale of 100 on which to review Vancity Electric my rating would be 100+. Over the top in every respect.....on time,friendly, got right to the task at hand and completed it in short order. When I received the invoice there were no surprises other than the fact I thought they were very reasonable. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Vancity Electric to anyone I know looking for electrical work and they would definitely be my personal first choice.

    Electrician

    I had a couple of small jobs and Geoff was punctual, courteous and knowledgeable. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend VanCity Electric for any sized issue--I got great value for quality work. Thanks again.
