project - encore, gold park homes, brampton

everything 'standard' is outdated and cheap that you'll hate. so you pay for practically everything as an upgrade. total rip offs. now A mirror image has been built and not what was shown /sold to us! A side entrance not possible now! they forgot to build my cold cellar (paid for)!! the end unit (left of ours) hasn;t even begun construction. that will be make me an unhappy neighbor for sure until construction is complete. i'm only hoping & praying the house shows well and we don't get problems like some of you have mentioned.

    Riverwalk Development in Angus

After over 40 days awaiting for builder pricing on some upgrades that we never received we gave up and decided to settle on the minimum and signed an purchase agreement on home with zero adds on. I will correct the only one mandatory upgrades that was imposed on us was the man door from the garage to the house for a price of $1,000.00 plus HST. Subject agreement was signed by us and witnessed by a builder representative a new home in Angus, Riverwalk Development. We were instructed by the agent to submit the agreement as is to the bank and our lawyer as it is consider as SOLD. My wife had the pleasure to affix the Sold sticker on chosen lot. A week latter builder's agent provided us with an email indicating not so gentle price increase on our choice summing up to additional $40,000.00. Up to today day that is two weeks after we legaly and in writing we agreed pay full asking price and than some, we did not receive any official counter offer just a blurb addressed to general public indicating assumption additional costs from the trades. It did not specified any more but to my knowledge the trade strike was not settle yet. Personally don't know what quality of a homes Goldpark Homes builds except one instant of bricking over window openings and delaying the occupancy day by many months. What I believe their ethical values are pretty low and business practices are in my eyes are very poor along with customer satisfaction. Since I arranged financing for subject home and had to cancel, the comment I received from reputable bank mortgage specialist " I never saw anything like it in my 25 years of mortgagees experience " It is pretty sad that Goldpark Homes can't honour their own prices.

    SERVICE AND HOME BUILDER

My wife and I went to look at new builds with Gold Park Angus and we finally decided on a house that we liked. We signed all the paper work with some up grades. We gave our deposit of 5000 dollars and were excited to finally get our home. BUT after our paper work was signed on our end, the Builder decided to Up our purchase price 45,000 Dollars!!!! We were very overwhelmed and I don't understand how they can do this to us. We shook hands with the relator, we gave our deposit. They even gave us a SOLD Sticker to put over out lot number on the map. they said they wanted to raise the pricing for all homes but why would they wait for us to sing before telling us , OR why wouldn't they accept our agreement and then Raise the pricing for others who have not yet signed? I am blown away and so disappointed. There are a lot more houses going in and I don't know why we were treated this way. has this happened to anyone else?

    my new home in Angus

We recently took possession of our new home in Angus built by Gold Park Homes and we are very happy with the house. We are a first time buyer and have been looking for a quiet neighborhood for a while. The site at Angus by Gold Park Homes is by far the best location in the area. Their staffs have been providing us with assistance when we need from sales to aftersales service. I have heard from a few of my friends how terrible some builders are with their product and service but frankly speaking, we understand nobody is perfect but our minor problems with the house have been dealt with efficiently. Thank you Gold Park Homes for reacting to our request and we will not hesitate to recommend you to any of our friends who are looking into purchasing a new home.

    new home angus

Bought a new home in angus after looking in the area and at many different builders. Love the street , the lot and the layout if our home. There were some hurdles during the building stages, the interior decorator at the decor center was Terrible. Needless to say we loved the home when we got our keys and walked in..we did many upgrades, replaced the kitchen after closing Howe er the after service has been terrible!! Shower floor caved in, roof leak that there site person saw and noted however "they "the builder never seem to be able to find though there is evidence in the shared bath. We upgraded windows in the basement and added a side entrance ($5000 +) for a future space for our daughter.. builder decides to put the sump pump under the window and push the furnace under the other. Waste of space. Can't count the number of service dates I took off work to have trades not show ... Two pages of deficiencies. Now 1.5 years later the shower needs to be replaced a third time and the laundry roo. Tiles have cracked because no plywood under for support around the vent.. The response from Simon , there so called after service manager says oh tgat one tile wasn't on the one year list of other tiles. Funny how during the walk through he states you just hae to identify the area ..ie laundry room cracked tile .yet know he wants specifics?? this is not our first home but the worse experience ever!! Buyer beware!! Sign warning others going up.on our lawn. !

    NEW HOME CONSTRUCTION

Did not deliver quality of home for price. Customer service in non existent. Workmanship on all materials in home are very poor, from exterior brick work to cabinets, to stairs to toilets. Very cheap material used.
