Devonte and his helper (a gentleman whose name I've regrettably forgotten -- sorry, he did amazing work) showed up 15 minutes early, and immediately went to work surveying the job. Throughout the survey, several helpful suggestions were given on how to best move and package items.
The move was not pretty. Many large pieces of furniture and many more smaller heavy boxes had to be carried up stairs to the third floor of my new apartment, with no elevator. It was horrible, exhausting work, but Around Town not only completed the task without complaint, they did it in a ridiculously efficient amount of time -- WELL under their minimum number of hours when I was expecting them to have to go well over. They even offered to stay after the job and assist in arranging the furniture!
There was minor damage done to an old, rickety plywood desk I had (and was probably falling apart anyway), but nothing a couple of nails won't fix.
This job was set-up with only a couple of days' notice, but they were very flexible and accommodating to my somewhat limited schedule.
Their price wasn't the CHEAPEST quoted, but was MORE than fair for such quality work. Furthermore, and most importantly, there were absolutely ZERO hidden fees (like some moving companies have); what I was quoted on the phone was penny-for-penny what I was asked for upon satisfaction of the completed job.
In short, an all-around great service in punctuality, efficiency, and quality of work. Thanks Devonte and Around Town Moving -- rest assured, you'll get another call from me when I move next!
