Adam at Bildam was recommended to us by our landscaping company (TWG Inc.). Adam performed excellent work on our deck extension and was very helpful with information regarding different deck designs and construction methods. We especially like the deck post covers!

Adam was amazing, helped me fine tune my idea and offered suggestions for improvements that would fit the look of my house. The deck was built quickly, on time, with no fuss or mess by Greg who did an unbelievable job. I absolutely recommend Bildam and would hire them again for future projects. You cannot go wrong with Bildam Home Improvements! Thanks guys, I love my deck!!

The deck is perfect. Adam provided pre-build diagrams and suggestions to ensure my expectations were met, and Peter the carpenter did an incredible job. All through the project, professionalism was displayed. When I wanted some minor changes, they could not have been more accommodating. Bildam will be back for my kitchen and bathroom in '14. I have already specified that Peter is to be the carpenter.

Bildam just finished a basement build for us and we couldn't be happier. We had known about the company for some time as they had built a deck for our neighbour, and we knew that they did high quality work, so we called them in to quote on our "first half" basement build. We knew from the start we wanted to split the work in two phases. Adam came in to quote and was courteous, detailed and helpful in coming up with options to treat the phases of work. We chose Bildam based on their reasonable quote, and because every reference we spoke to (and one where we went to see the work) couldn't say enough positive things. So, I'll add my own positive comments to the long list. The contract and pre-build process was clear and uncomplicated, and Adam even came shopping with us for fixtures to make sure we avoided any pitfalls. When Bill and the crew began work, they were amazing...the quality of craftsmanship is very high, and I really appreciated that they kept mess to a minimum, cleaning every day. They even took care of things our home builder had missed - like fixing poor insulation and a bad dryer vent, before proceeding with the work. A friend who works for a major Durham home builder looked around and was also really impressed.They kept the project moving along - work was happening every day and they were always very clear about the schedule so we knew who to expect, and when they were coming. You can also tell a lot about a contractor by the kind of relationships they have with trades, and everyone - electricians, plumbers, HVAC and more that Bildam brought to our home were great - they did high quality work and were incredibly courteous. Throughout the project Bill and the crew were flexible - as we went we nearly doubled the scope of the job - and helped us solve design problems expertly. I really appreciated that they put a great deal of thought into the final aesthetics of every detail - from trim to tile and more - and don't just put something together quickly to finish up. They were eternally patient with us for any questions we had, and always responsive by phone or email. Adam kept us well informed of cost implications of any changes we made and there were no surprises in cost or timing. And, the finished product is just what we wanted - a custom space for our family's needs, including a playroom/spare bedroom, beautiful bathroom,storage areas and a custom sewing room with cabinets and storage -and all of it solid, safe and great looking. Not only will Bildam be back when it's time to finish our rec room, but they will be the only contractors I call for any home or landscape renovation. There are lots of contractor horror stories out there - we avoided all the headaches when we hired Bildam Home Improvements.

We had a composite walk out deck built by Bildam, and it looks fantastic! What we especially liked about Bildam is how easy Bill and Adam were to work with. They were both readily available to answer any questions we had before and during the project. Bill, Adam and their staff are reliable and professional, and they always left the worksite tidy before they left for the day. We are very happy with the final result!

Bildam Home Improvements recently built us our dream kitchen! Not only is it a more beautiful space than we could ever have imagined, the entire experience was an absolute pleasure. Our project was completed on time, on budget, to our specification and we’re still speaking to our contractors!!! Who else do you know says that? Hire these guys! They build quality...

We had used Adam and Bill when we first moved into our house - at that time, they had demolished an existing rickety older deck and built for our extended family a magnificent 2-storey walk-out deck and balcony. We therefore knew the quality of their work and had no hesitation in chosing Bildam to install crown molding in our living room and dining room. Adam spent time with us going us the various options, writing us the quote and making sure all our questions were answered. His level of patience is reassuring. Bildam's quoting system is carefully explained. And of course, the crown molding was exactingly installed and we came back at the end of the day to a transformed home! We will be using them next year when we renovate our bathrooms.

Bildam delivered on everything I asked for and added extra finishing touches that completed the whole project beautifully. The kitchen came in on budget and was done to my complete satisfaction. A truly professional team to work with!

We chose Bildam after meeting with a couple of other builders primarily because of their flexibilty in design, craftsmenship exhibited on other projects and customer service. The realtionship that Bildam has with an interior decorator is a big competitive advantage. Chantal's vision and sense of design options greatly contributed to the final look of the project. Adam and Bill were terrific at incorporating these changes and ensuring that the quality of work was equal to the design. Also, Bill did an outstanding job customizing a media stack for our audio video needs and thinking through our wine storage needs. The wine cellar is great. Adam was very diligent and patient working with us in choosing materials or products. And finally, the overall level of professionalism of the entire team was very high. We would definitely recommend anybody thinking of doing a renovation contacting Bildam.

We live in a heritage district and had a challenge with compliance on 2 front decks (we live on a corner) across 3 different town departments - heritage, building and zoning. Adam Malley, the owner of Bildam went with us personally to the Town of Markham to work through the issues in partnership with the staff there, completed all drawing and liased repeatedly with various town staff to resolve the complex technical issues involved. Adam and his team were always available to help and provided peace of mind as well as quality work. Adam's personal professionalism was critical given the complex nature of the problems and the number of departments involved. I highly recommend Bildam, Adam and his team.
