Main Water Valve Leaking
The main water valve was leaking coming into the house after I turned it off (usual cause, hasn't been turned off probably since the house was built 30 years ago). It was so bad, we had the city to come out and shut off the water going into the house. Called A-Z Plumbing on Sunday morning at 10:00 AM. They made an appt for Monday at 9:00 AM to come take a look. They called back within an hour and said Ivan could be there by 12:30. Pleasant surprise since it was a Sunday (we were calling around and it was not looking good to get someone out that day). When he came, he fixed the leaking main water valve in under 2 hours (and that was with the city coming back to turn the water on). It was a tight space he was working in between the vanity and the toilet. Ivan is very professional and a problem solver to get this issue resolved quickly. I would highly, highly recommend Ivan.

Sewer back up water valve.
Professional, quick, clean, honest. Installed a back up water valve, ncluding arranging city permits and inspection. They were referred to me from a neighbour and they did a great job.

Mastery Workmanship and Mastery Communication
A to Z plumbing with master plumber Dmitry Monastirsky is quick to return phone calls, emails and texts. Very professional communication, on time, discusses options, excellent work and clean and tidy. Installed a new sink requiring excavation to connect to drain, connect to hot and cold water, and new connection to vent stack. Concrete floor repair well done. Also repaired valves and pipe for outside hose pipe. Highly recommend.

Sewer Stack Replacement
This is the most efficient contractor I have ever come across. Dmitry and his team not only completed the work they said they would but they did it within the time frame they gave me. I received a quote on a Monday evening, they started first thing Thursday morning. They replaced my sewer main stack in my house as well as venting my bathroom sink. The work was undertaken promptly and confidently, leaving the work area tidy. An extremely courteous and professional team. I am delighted with the outcome and will definitely call upon Dmitry in future should a need arise. I recommend them to anyone looking for a great plumber or drain contractor who is not only flexible but also reasonably priced!

Installed backwater valve in basement.
Dmitry was on-time for both the estimate and the work. He provided a detailed written quote and dealth with the City for the permit. He and his associate carried out the work neatly and quickly. They put up a plastic sheet to section off the work area so as to minimize the dust. He explained what was being done. Overall, we were very satisfied.

Plumbing work in 100 yr. old home..
I had the main drain pipe connecting kitchen sink to drain in floor replaced. Work was done very professionally with total respect to my home. Clean up was done very well. Extremely pleased with A to Z Plumbing & Drains. Would highly recommend them. On time and very professional.

Basement Plumbing Project
I had high expectations when I called Dmitry based on his strong HomeStars reviews, all of which he greatly surpassed! I'm very happy I called AtoZ and you will be too. Dmitiry and his crew excavated and repalced the old cast iron stack that was buried deep in a tight corner of the crawl space. They replaced the clay drain pipes and roughed in a basement bathroom, kitchen, laundry tub, and 2 floor drains. Installing a backwater valve inside would have interfered with a planned bathtub, so they installed it outside with access ports. He also replaced our half of the lead water service pipes and moved my water meter to a more convenient location. The experience was great from the first phone call. Dmitry sets up a time to come survey the situation. He arrives exactly when he says he will, if not a bit earlier, and quickly understands what has to be done. That's followed by a very detailed, itemized written quote soon after with a very fair price that didn't change after the work was done - zero surprises. Dmitry and team handled all the paper work for city subsidies, permits, and inspections, and was always very patient explaining the work they were doing and answering any questions. The whole team is always on time or early, lays down mats and tarps to protect your floors and walkways, boards to protect your plants and bushes, and cleans up thoroughly. Except for the new drains and access ports sticking out of the ground, you wouldn't even know they were here when the job was complete. Dmitry will be they only plumber I call going foward.

Drain Blockage
I was extremely pleased with the attention given to protecting the finished walls and floors around the basement excavation that was necessary. When the job was completed and things returned to normal it was virtually impossible to tell that there had ever been anything disturbed. I would highly recommend A to Z Plumbing to anyone facing a major drain blockage.
