Moving from Calgary to Vancouver
Troy Transportation helped me move my stuff (about 5500 lb) from Calgary to Vancouver. I had a great experience with this company and I can highliught the followings: 1) allways prompt response to my emails. 2) best proce I could get. 3) staff are very friendly and they really do their best to accommodate your needs. 4) they even schedule a delivery or pick-up on holidays (I moved my stuff right after X-mas and they did it for me. 5) They delivered my stuff right on the date I requested (although I set the date very late) 6) very fast pick up and delivery 7) safely packed everything 8) I also got free storage (waiting time) up to 6 weeks! move from Calgary to Victoria
Moved my mother from Calgary to Victoria in 2010, any problems that arose were looked after by the company. My only advice would be to get the best insurance available for any move thru any moving company.

Small Furniture Move
Troy was the first and only company to respond to my search for a mover to move three small pieces of furniture. I was finding it almost impossible to find a company to do a small move but the staff at Troy were very helpful, and accommodating.The price was half what other companies charge, the delivery was quick, and the customer service was amazing. Thanks Alice, Naomi and the moving guys!

Moving to Toronto
My wife and I moved recently from Vancouver to Toronto. I checked out Troy Moving online and was very happy with their reviews online. The customer service was great from the pick-up to delivery portion of the move. I had a few glasses broken on the way, but I wasnt very concerned with that, as the price of the move was very reasonable. I can accept a few glasses damaged during a long distance move than have to worry about a $10,000 bill. I had a Van line comy be and give me an estimate for my move for over $7000, but Troy moving did the same service in less than half. Very resonable. Great Service and my rep Alice was amazing to deal with! Great job guys! Stan Logan

Ottawa-Toronto and local Toronto moves
I booked Troy for an Ottawa-Toronto move in September 2011, after extensive online research, and then rebooked them for a local Toronto move in February 2012. I can strongly recommend the company as honest, reliable and thoroughly reputable. The Ottawa move, once begun, went smoothly, but it did involve two hiccups. First, the move was delayed by a day; and secondly, after taking delivery, I received an invoice that was significantly higher than expected. Red flags started going up, and I began to fear the worst--that we were being taken for a ride by shady movers. Fortunately, that was absolutely not the case. After Sofia explained the charges, I could see that there had been miscommunication, but no attempt at jacking up the price. We ultimately "agreed to disagree"--I felt that I should have been given a better explanation of the costs beforehand (specifically, extra charges for boxes and packing, which are calculated according to a cost structure for long-distance moves that is different than for local moves), whereas Troy felt that I had not provided an accurate estimate of the size of the move and the additional packing required. You might ask, then, why would I give a rating of '10' after two hiccups like that? Well, two reasons. First of all, Troy agreed to refund me $350 after we discussed the difference on the bill. They did so even though, as I suspect, they felt they hadn't made a mistake. The fact that they would agree to a refund under those circumstances made me feel that they are very reasonable, and it speaks highly of their professionalism. Secondly, it was clear after we resolved the issue that Troy is an honest company. That, for me, is worth its weight in gold. I understand that snafus of various kinds can happen, and nobody can absolutely guarantee a flawless move. But Troy addressed my concerns fairly and honestly, and knowing that relieved me as a customer from all sorts of stress. For that reason, I have to give Troy the rating I did, because I was very satisfied with their service. It was also for that reason that I booked the second, local move in February. That move went off without a hitch. We had a great crew of friendly, hardworking guys, and they did an excellent job. The only thing that was broken was a single drinking glass. Sofia was also very flexible in accommodating a final "mini-move" of six items to Burlington. All-in-all Troy did a great job, and I can absolutely recommend them without hesitation.

Recent Move to Calgary
I recently moved from Ottawa, ON to Calgary, AB with Troy Moving. I looked them up online when I was looking for a quote and saw good reviews and comments about them. I support family owned and operated businesses and therefore decided to give Troy Moving my business. I am very happy with my choice! They were there on time for the pick-up, even though the weather was awful and snowing that day. The crew got stuck in the snow on the day of the pick-up and had to stay longer and never complained once. Very good guys that came to my home for the pick-up. The delivery came 10 days later in Calgary. I was happy to see the truck arrive and to see my goods again. Everything was delivered without any problems. I was missing a box with tools, but it was quickly found and delivered back to me. Very happy with the service and price. Couldnt ask for a better service! Hannah S.

Moving
A few weeks ago myself and my daughter moved to Toronto using Troy Moving. The guys at delivery came within the window I was told, and called half an hour before they arrived (which was great). The arrival was between 7-10 days, but there was a delay with the holiday so it came on about day 12. That’s ok though, the people at the office called me well in advance so I could make arrangements to stay with my friend a little longer. When the delivery guys came they were very nice to me and to my daughter. Upon unpacking I noticed that her bed frame was missing and that my dresser had a chunk out of the trim, after the initial upset I called the office, and sure enough her bedframe was there, they dropped it off the next day. With the dresser they sent me a damage form which I sent back right away, within 2 weeks I got a response from the claims department and they offered to cover a portion of the repair cost of the dresser. Considering I didn’t have any special insurance I really appreciate the effort made and the speediness of the response to my concerns. Every move has it’s hiccups, but I truly feel that Troy cares about the customer and would recommend them to anyone.

Moving
Recently my wife and I moved to Brampton from Red Deer. Troy moving made the best offer out of all the companies and the staffs at the offices were very nice. I had a little damage to one box of my crockery, but I called and spoke to Artur, he sent me a claim form and a few days later we got a very nice email from Sofia (the lady who handles damage claims). Sofia made us a nice offer to help replace some of the broken items, which we very much appreciated. Troy Moving made this a very good experience for our family and I will recommend them to all my friends who are moving out here too.

MOVE FROM VICTORIA TO TORONTO
I did my due diligence and reviewed moving companies on the Better Business website. I chose Troy Moving because they had an A rating. What was not disclosed to me was that they were subletting the move to their sister company Across Canada Van Lines which has a D- rating with the BBB, and I unfortunately now know why. When my items arrived I was broken hearted to see how my items had been so carelessly treated. Wood scraped and gauged, my lamp scratched and the glass shattered, a storage unit with glass door shattered, heavy boxes stacked on clearly labelled FRAGILE boxes. Irreplaceable items were ruined. For whatever reason the movers took the front wheel off my bike and used enough force to ram the brakes under the bottom rung of the bike so I am unable to right the handle bars. I am also missing items. I would have never chosen Troy Moving had I known they would be contracting a D- company to move my goods. A friend of mine is moving from Victoria to Calgary and were going to move with Troy. I informed her of their procedures of using low rated companies. She called Troy Moving and sure enough the move was not being done by Troy but by Vega Line Moving which has an F rating by the BBB. The response below just proves how disorganized the Comapany is, yeaterday I recieved a response from the Operations Manager and now apparently I have the wrong company. I have emails and the contract to prove it!
