    Moving with Troy Transportation

    I recently moved with Troy Moving from Kelowna, BC to Toronto, ON. I am going to try and not make this too long, but wanted to express my sincere satisfaction with this company. I received many quotes from companies all around the country, with prices that were high and low. I called and emailed all of them and received some responses and some didn’t even reply. After checking reviews and their reputation, I decided to choose Troy Moving for my move, and I don’t regret it for a second. Everything went just great. From the pick-up driver who came with the 2 nice gentlemen to the delivery crew in Toronto who were just wonderful. Everything went great, and the move was on time. The price was very reasonable for the service that was performed (I requested full packing and moving services), and I can’t say enough about Alice who handled my move from the quote to the delivery date. I could always reach her by email or phone and had my answers responded to almost immediately. I would not look anywhere else when looking for another mover. Thank you Troy Moving and Alice especially for the great service provided!

    Moving from Ontatio to Alberta

    When Troy was finished with our move, our belongings were 2 weeks late and there was not a single item that was not damaged. Everyone of our boxes looked like it had been thrown off the truck and crushed. We were extremely disappointed and had thousands of dollars in damages. Troy promised to come good, six months later we were offered $75.00. Stay far away from this moving company!!!

The goods were scheduled to depart on the end of July truck and ETA was quoted at 5-12 days. The goods arrived on time and were delivered to on August 15th, 2011. The goods were not delayed by 2 weeks. Also, there are some minor damages that were noted at the time of delivery, and accepted the claim and processed it. Based on the lack of coverage, there was no eligibility for a refund, however we still offered a compensation. We would like to be able to address your concerns and we appreciate your business.     MOVING FROM KITCHENER TO TORONTO

    Three weeks ago our family moved to Toronto by Troy Moving Company. The time, quality and moving expenses were reasonable. For sure I will use this company for my moving in the future. SOPHIA COHEN IS THE OPERATIONS MANAGER OF THIS COMPANY AND IS INCREDIBLY HONEST AND A PRO AT MAKING YOUR MOVE GO LIKE CLOCKWORK.     Move from Toronto to Calgary

    My husband and I moved from Toronto to Calgary. I obtained quotes from quite a few moving companies. I chose Troy because they had the best prices and were very transparant in how the price was calculated and what I got for my money. I communicated with one person (Sofia) via e-mail (a big timesaver) consistently through the process and she was very helpful and responded promptly to all my questions. The movers were very friendly, on time and everything proceeded smoothly. My parents were able to accept the move for us. There was a bit of a mix up with the final cost/payment but it was quickly rectified and I was still very happy with the overall service. Thank you Troy! I would recommend you to others.

    My Moving Experience

    Troy Moving just finished a move for me from Ottawa to Toronto. My job transfer took place very last minute and miraculously Lily was able to co ordinate it……..within 48 hours of my phone call my goods were packed, picked up and delivered the next day. Flawless! It took so much stress off me having the pro’s at Troy pack, it was worth the extra money to have them pack the boxes. I let them in the condo, went out for some last minute errands, I came back to find the men almost done! Great experience, will use them again when I move back to Ottawa next year!

    Great Move!

    A few weeks ago myself and my daughter moved to Toronto using Troy Moving. The guys at delivery came within the window I was told, and called half an hour before they arrived (which was great). The arrival was between 7-10 days, but there was a delay with the holiday so it came on about day 12. That’s ok though, the people at the office called me well in advance so I could make arrangements to stay with my friend a little longer. When the delivery guys came they were very nice to me and to my daughter. Upon unpacking I noticed that her bed frame was missing and that my dresser had a chunk out of the trim, after the initial upset I called the office, and sure enough her bedframe was there, they dropped it off the next day. With the dresser they sent me a damage form which I sent back right away, within 2 weeks I got a response from the claims department and they offered to cover a portion of the repair cost of the dresser. Considering I didn’t have any special insurance I really appreciate the effort made and the speediness of the response to my concerns. Every move has it’s hiccups, but I truly feel that Troy cares about the customer and would recommend them to anyone

    Cross province move

    AVOID THIS MOVING COMPANY AT ALL COSTS!!! Here is my story: We set everything up with TROY TRANSPORTATION and they were going to come pick our stuff up on a specific day between 12-2pm; they arrived at 4pm with no phone call or apologies, and the movers were quite unfriendly. They did not wrap any of our stuff up for protection except for one glass table. The estimation based on how much stuff we had was $500. When moving day came, the stuff arrived at our place on time (September 9) except they forgot our carpet somewhere apparently the warehouse. The furniture that we did get arrived damaged (wood tables were all chipped up and scratched). The estimation of $500 turned into $1066. We called the place at the end of September, when they said the missing carpet would arrive, and they said that the truck broke down half way. Sounded a bit fishy. They then said it should arrive in another 2 weeks after that. Two weeks later, still no carpet. We then started talking with a new employee who said “we have located your carpet in Vancouver” (the place that the stuff was being moved from). I guess the truck that broke down half-way turned around back to Vancouver with all of the stuff. It was then mid November and we were told the carpet should arrive at the end of November for whatever excuse. No carpet arrived at the end of November. We were then promised that the carpet would be here in the first week of December on a Sunday. No carpet arrived because apparently the driver was in Fernie, BC. We were then promised again that the carpet would arrive on December 12. The carpet did not arrive until the 13th of December, three months later than we were told and over 30 phone calls later. The most aggravating drawn out process I’ve ever experienced with a moving company. Obviously this company lacks in management skills. All that they were willing to refund of the $1066 was 50 dollars. I STRONGLY ADVISE NOT USING THIS COMPANY!!!

    2nd move with Troy

    After a second great experience with Troy Moving, I asked Sofia what I could do for her after they had treated me and my family so great! As a family business, she simply asked that I write a few reviews about this company to help with future business! MY PLEASURE! The first move in June was from Russell, MB to Oakville, ON. After living in Oakville for a few months I decided it just wasn't for me and thought moving to a smaller town up north might be more suitable. My first thought before looking for quotes, was "let's see what Sofia can do for me this time".........as suspected, everything was as I had expected and hoped! The guys were awesome for both moves, the ladies (and gentleman) in the office were always ready to help, and always friendly. As we move quite often its good to know that I have Sofia and her crew, for cross country, across province and across town moves! Thanks again, as much as I am not looking forward to moving again, I am looking forward to dealing with Troy for a simple and low cost move!

    Moving accross Canada

    It is always somehow stressfull to move, especially with a family and a new life starting. We moved overseas and accross Canada twice. Our most revent move with Troy Moving went very well and was quite professional. All of our things, including my canoe, my bikes, made it safe and sound and on time. Thanks to our Moving assistant who was always there, either over the phone or by email. This effective communication line made all the difference.
