Main floor hardwood renovation.
Hello, My wife and I were desperate for a new floor! After years of our main floor carpet and linoleum being battered into oblivion by time and our growing kids it was time for a change! We had ideas and a plan of sorts and started to research and shop around. We eventually walked into Floors Direct in Newmarket. That's when we were enlightened about the flooring world. Floors Direct has a world of selection, amazing really. It is a store that can truly meet any flooring requirement. Both Ben and Jeannie explained what options were available to us. They exhibited extensive knowledge and offered helpful advice and answered an endless string of questions. We decided on Pagoda hardwood (Caramel wire brushed) from Twelve Oaks Forest Products. Our decision was to hardwood our entire main floor with the exception of our laundry room. We used DuraCeramic tile (midnight grey) by Congoleum. Both my wife and I wanted to do most of the work ourselves to keep the costs down. Basically we did all the prep work leaving the actual hardwood floor installation to the professionals. We removed the old baseboard, flooring and put down a layer of plywood on the subfloor. For this renovation we also planned on painting the walls and putting in new baseboard afterwards. The Pagoda was delivered four days prior to the installation date to acclimatize. Now this is where Terry and his crew (Ken & Kenny) come in. These guys are good, I mean real good! They quickly accessed the work site and got down to setting up and starting the job. They worked well as a team and only stopped for quick lunches. They were very polite (even asking each and every time if they could use the washroom). They took care not to be destructive to our home and cleaned up as they went. There was also a final clean up. I'm still in awe at the quality of their workmanship. They installed these matching in floor zero clearance floor vents that are so flush with the Pagoda it's incredible! In all it took them less than two days to finish the of hardwood floor (approximately 850sqft). The laundry room tile was installed by my wife and me. To conclude, we couldn't be happier with the product and installation. The support from Ben and Jeannie was exemplary. Our main floor now looks awesome and we are no longer embarrassed to have guests visit!

Home Renovation
Our relationship with Floors Direct North started when trying to find hardwood that could be used in a ceiling application. My wife and I were introduced to Ben who took the time to explain to us the various options of wood we could choose from, how each could be installed, and worked within our budget. We were pleased to find someone that finally seemed genuine; he was down to earth, honest, and cared about making our wants a reality. We were so pleased that when it came time to look for hardwoord flooring for our project, we went straight back. Only this time, we were fortunate enough to work with Jeannie, Sanketh and Brian also. Each of them provided us with the knowledge, and expertise that we needed to complete the flooring for our unique situation. They kept us in the loop at all times when working with the suppliers for our special orders, and always had our best interests at heart. They truly make you feel welcomed, like part of their family. A family that we our proud to now be a part of :)

Hardwood- exotic walnut
We were very unsure about what to do with the original floors in our new- very old home. We made several drop-ins to Direct Floors North and were always greeted with respectful, helpful, charming and totally knowledgeable sales associates. The entire process was made so easy -despite our own indecisiveness- they have so many great options! When we finally did make up our minds, they had the floor ready for the next business day and even gave us e option of having it delivered! Everyone on the team at Direct Floors North made us feel really good about our purchase, from our first visit to the delightful delivery man, Brad. Everyone made us feel really good about our final purchase- at a great price with incredible customer service! Thanks to all at Direct Floors North for being an outstanding company! To future buyers, my husband and I highly recommend you take a visit into their shop- you won't regret it!

Reno - New floorings throughout
The Team at Floors Direct North in Newmarket are absolutely exceptional. The customer service we received from Ben and Jeannie was so helpful and honest. They answered every concern we had with patience and professionalism. They are not only knowledgeable about their products but they care about their customers. Carpet throughout house
From the moment I walked through their doors, I was felt a genuine and warm reception. Whether we dealt with Ben, Jeannie or Sanket, each one of them was friendly and professional. There are other flooring places around so the difference for us was their passion for serving the individual needs of each customer. Ben and Sanket remembered us even after the first visit! Makes you feel like they really care about you as a person. Ben went above and beyond to get the job done to our unique needs while we were undergoing whole-house renovations! They were dependable, on schedule and on budget. They even placed a follow up call to see if we were satisfied. It was a pleasure to work with. We will definitely be a repeat customer and will recommend them to others.

New bedroom/upstairs/stairs hardwood floors
The staff at Floors Direct were an absolute delight to work with. They offered great honest advice and they never pressured us to make a decision. My wife and I were nervous about making this sort of investment in the house but Ben and Jeannie were so helpful and made us feel confident in our purchase. Floors Direct removed all of the carpet from the bedrooms and stairs, disposed of all the garbage, repaired the subfloor and installed the new hardwood floors. We also had the pickets to the staircase painted white, and the handrail stained. We also had a carpet runner installed. It was a big job but we honestly felt like this was a partnership. To prove to you just how much we trusted Ben and Jeannie - we had all this work done while we were away on vacation. We knew they understood exactly what needed to be done and that's what happened. We came home to a perfect job and it really has changed the way we look at our house. We will definitely be using them again when the time comes to replace the hardwood floors in the living room and family rooms. I recommend them to all of you.

Stair Runner
I want to thank the staff at Floors Direct North for not only their excellent customer service, but for their genuineness and hospitality. Jeannie, Ben and Brian were all very welcoming and made choosing the right product for our home so much less stressful. Their price for the stair runner was approx. 25% less then a large competitor of theirs and the installers who came to my home, Del and Jay, were very friendly and professional. Seeing how pleasant our experience was with Floors Direct North, I have now committed to buying the flooring for the upstairs of my home with them. I highly recommend for anyone's flooring needs in the GTA.

Sterns Wharf Engineered Hardwood and Mannington Adura
Remodelling, OMG.All the running around and all the decisions.One of our easiest decisions was taking my friend's advice and using Floors Direct North.Are they the most expensive, don't know, are they the cheapest, don't know, are they the BEST, YES, YES, YES!!!!Jeannie and Ben could not have been more helpful, or more accommodating.Jay McClure did all the installation along with his side-kick, Steve.Our job was big and took 51/2 days.Both were very professional, accommodating, and a delight to have in our home.We would and have recommended both Floors Direct North and Jay McClure.Take our advice and save yourself time, and aggravation use FLOORS DIRECT NORTH. Flooring
Always excellent customer service. The best selection of products in the region. Painless installation, and always willing to go above and beyond to get the job done on schedule and on budget. Friendly, helpful and honest. A pleasure to work with, will definitely be a repeat customer.

Hardwood, Carpet, Vinyl
After many months of research we decided on Floors Direct. We were doing all the flooring in the house so it was a big decision for us. I must have gone in and out of their store a dozen times looking and comparing different options. Jeannie and her team never made me feel like a nuisance. In fact the opposite is true. They always were so gracious to me taking a lot of time to answer all of my questions. The customer service from Jeannie, Ben, Sanketh and Brian is second to none. I can honestly say their customer service is what sold me. I had gone to nearly every flooring store in the GTA (no joke) but Floors Direct stood out among the rest. They are not the largest flooring store around but their selection is better than any that I have seen. There knowledge of each and every product is remarkable! Now to the installation. As Jeannie can attest I am NOT the easiest customer. I was very picky but considering the amount of money involved, I have a right to be. But you know, Jeannie and Ben never complained or made me feel like my questions were unfair. They addressed all of them with the utmost professionalism. The hardwood on the main floor looks spectacular. (Twelve Oaks Pagoda by the way) The installer did a wonderful job. One friend told me it is the most beautiful hardwood floor she has ever seen. Next came the bathroom floors. Duraceramic is a fantastic product. Looks and feels like stone my friends can hardly believe that it is a Vinyl floor. The install did a great job. Finally came the carpet about 1700sft of it. Thank you Jeannie for leading us to the Mowhawk Smart Strand carpet. I did my research (many hours) and it is by far the best carpet on the market. It looks and feels softer than any carpet I have ever seen, and the installers did an amazing job! Oh, I forgot to mention price. Trust me I compared prices. At many, many stores. Floors Direct prices are UNBEATABLE! Well, it is finally all done, Jeannie was a gem coaching us through the renovations. I just want to thank every one at the store. Ben, Sanketh, Brian, but most of all Jeannie. You guys set the benchmark in customer service, quality of product, knowledge and price! Thanks so much.
