Sohail provided me with a quote in a very timely manner. I like that the quote provided me with the useful and appropriate options (with ceiling vs no ceiling, with kitchen cupboards vs no cupboards), which helped me budget accordingly.
They put me in touch with a FANTASTIC paint and colour consultant (Marife) who took the time to visit our home to get to know us and recommended paint styles, colours, and options that meets our personal style, needs, and budget. (NB: This service costs extra but I highly recommend this - and ask for Marife - especially if you are already forking out big $$ on a whole-house paint job).
Five Star Painting works with subcontractors, and our project was assigned to Adil and his team. I can't speak for other subcontractors, but I definitely recommend Adil. He and his team were very courteous, and professional.
I had one minor beef: one of the guys used my bathroom sink to rinse off the paint brushes. Although they didn't stain or ruin the sink, I just didn't like the idea, but after I told them I didn't like it, they were perfectly fine and followed my instructions to use the utility sink.
Another thing I really liked with Adil's team, is that before they started, they made sure I protected my furniture (this is the owner's responsibility and is explicitly stated in 5-star painting contract). Although I covered up most of my big furniture, I had forgotten about my bed and dresser, and one of the guys pointed it out and said that he cannot start the room until it's covered. I was very appreciative of that.
They finished on time and cleaned up after themselves.
Adil also kept repeating to us that if there is ANYTHING at all that we find we weren't happy about, to call him and said they would come back to fix it. We were, in fact, extremely happy with the job and didn't have a need to call him to come back.
Over all, 5-star painting gets 5 stars from us.
