I chose Payless because Peter took the time to give me an in-person quote. Like many, this was one of the only times we will hire movers in our lifetime (knock on wood), so we did not have experience to draw from to make a decision. Getting to meet Peter face-to-face and look him in the eye, and to see how he responded to my questions gave me the comfort, combined with the homestar reviews, to make the decision to go with Payless. The price was good (not amazing), but it came with a flat fee which gave me some assurance I wouldn't be surprised. I did have concern they would be overly quick and recklass during the move, but they were not in a rush to try to save time at my expense/comfort. They showed up on time. Peter led his crew well. He answered all my questions. I didn't pay until completion. All in all, it was a very good experience on an otherwise stressful day.

Peter and the staff were efficient and I will use them again in the futur. Moving from downtown Toronto is always a challenge this company makes it seems effortless. Great work, great price.

Peter is a natural leader. We had some big furniture pieces that he had to navigate out of a single front door. Peter managed his crew very well. He stayed calm even when I was getting nervous. Great job-highly recommended.

We were very pleased with the honesty, integrity and professionalism of Peter and his assistants. We had them do the packing for us, which we feel was well worth the additional cost. Peter arrived the nite before with the boxes and a helper, and got most of the packing finished. The following morning, right on schedule, he and his staff arrived for the move. We immediately scheduled another move of things we had in a storage unit in Orillia, that too went very well. We have already recommended Peter to a family member who is moving in Kitchener next month, and have no doubt that she will also be as pleased as we were.

I would like to say what a great company this is because myself and my wife hired Peter and his crew to move us on August 2. Peter and. His crew were friendly,polite and professional and infinitely expensive then his competitors out there. The crew of 3 were Punctual and incredibly speedyon a hot day.. They had us relocated in less then 4 hours without damaging any piece of furniture.. I would highly recommend Payless moving to anyone and would use them in any further moves..

Never again. Very rude, gave me a flat rate-took appart my furniture And charged me for putting it together (unlike my previous movers). I'd like To add he did a very poor job at putting together the furniture I paid him for (waste of money). Broke parts of my furniture, did not apologize And left the remainder of broken furniture in the hallway For me to pick up. I was very disappointed.

I hired Peter and his crew for our house move on June 29th, 2012. Peter was polite, professional, and infinitely less expensive than his competitors. When we discovered that the move start time had to be delayed, Peter was able to accommodate us without penalty. His crew of three was courteous, punctual, and incredibly speedy. On what was perhaps the hottest day of the year, they relocated the contents of our house in less than three hours, without damaging a single piece of furniture. I would highly recommend Payless and will use them for any future moves.

I received quotes from a number of companies and could not believe how pricey and rigid they were in terms of pricing structure. I was really afraid that if we missed something, they would charge me an arm and leg additional. Peter and his guys were different. The price wasn't the lowest but, certainly competitive. However, he gave me a much more sound feeling of comfort that the price he quoted was all inclusive and there wouldn't be any hidden extras. The guys came and they were very professional, on time, they took very good care of our stuff, wrapped drawers and mobile closets to protect everything. We were really satisfied with them and I will be calling them again shortly to help in moving some more stuff for us. Thank you Peter!
