We had our backyard patio designed and installed by Kurt and his team at Distinctive Designs Landscaping this past week. The design is spot on... works perfectly with the look and feel we were looking for. The attention to details , the craftsmanship is superb. Kurt and his team are very professional and courteous. This was our second project with Distinctive Designs and we will be hiring them for future projects.

We were in desperate need of a backyard makeover. We wanted something that would be little to no maintenance and were even thinking of getting "fake" grass to achieve this (I wasn't sold on this, but my husband really wanted it). We had Kurt over to have a look and right away knew that he was the right person. He is very knowledgeable and was able to make recommendations and suggestions to meet our needs while still respecting the budget. He was extremely flexible when we added some work to the initial contract and him and his entire crew were so efficient and professional. Our project included: a stone patio, small deck, window wells, lighting and fixing of some broken fence posts and yes - we did go with the fake grass - and it looks awesome - people cannot believe it is not real. The yard was immaculate when they were done and we could not be happier with the results. We would not hesitate to recommend Kurt and his crew and will definitely be calling him when we are ready to do our front yard.

My backyard was transformed from a dump to an oasis in 3 weeks! They put everything I could possibly want into the yard and more! Kurt's architecture and design ideas were amazing and captured exactly what I was looking for. If you want beautiful, this company will make it happen!

The project completed by Kurt on my home was a complete revamp of my front yard (walkway, porch, and steps) as well as my back yard (patio, steps, drainage, and a garden bed). We met with Kurt months in advance to review our project; he listened, provided meaningful feedback on the scope (good balance of practicality and design) and worked with us on the budget and timing. Afterward Kurt put any concerns we had to rest and we signed the contract; DDL's three year warranty as well as Kurt's professionalism were deciding factors for me. Leading up to the project start date, Kurt provided sample materials for us to decide on the final selection. Once the work began, Kurt and his crew were professional, courteous, and detailed oriented. Kurt reviewed elements of the project as it progressed, which was appreciated. The finished product was excellent and the underlying process was very positive. I've recommended DDL to neighbours and friends.

After having contacted 5 companies, one of which did not bother to return my phone call, we settled on Destintive Designs. We had decided to redo our back yard but had only a vague idea of what we wanted. Kurt(owner) was professional, curtious, and listened to our ideas. Having done so he came up with a design that was both nice to look and and functional at the same time. One of the big reasons that we went with Kurt was that he was going to be on site for the entire time and there would be no out sourcing work. This was very important because inevitability there are design changes and decisions that come up during the build that need to be addressed in a timely manner. Having Kurt there made those decisions easier. Kurt and his team (Sean, Pat) not only finished the project on time on budget the work exceeded our expectations. Having watched these guys work I have no problems recommending them to anyone looking for good work, fair prices and professionalism

Kurt is very personable and had great design ideas for our front and side walkways and back patio. His crews did a wonderful job on the installation, we're very pleased with the results and have received numerous compliments.

Kurt was professional and listened to my needs for a Front - Walkway, seating area and landing and curbing to front edge garden. His staff were efficient courteous and hauled away debris. The work was done ahead of schedule and the results are beautiful. I will use my front garden more now.

We are very happy with our new front walkway and lighting. I had a particular type of lighting in mind and Kurt listened and worked with me to find the right combination and style of lights. I like Kurt's calm demeanour which is helpful when making plans and decisions. Kurt and his team completed the job in two days and it looks fabulous!

I had Distinctive Designs Landscaping install a large planter box. They had to remove an existing box and then install the new box. I am very happy with the result. Kurt and his crew did a great job. The work was started and completed when promised. The quality of the work was terrific. I can recommend this company and I will be calling them for future projects I have.

Had some landscaping done at my house. We are very happy with the outcome. The quality of work is superb, the price was right and working with Kurt and his crew couldn't be easier.
