Kurt and his crew of Courtney, Frank and Pat refurbished our 20-something-year-old rear patio and added a permanent gazebo. The existing patio & overgrown plantings were removed and new stone work set in its place. A new gazebo, approximately 10x14' was built at one end of the patio. Kurt and crew were fantastic to work with. Everything that was promised was delivered including a couple of minor change orders during construction. Work was done on time and on budget and the back yard looks MUCH better now! Our thanks to Kurt and the team for a delightful job that more than meets our expectations! We are very happy with the work and will call them for future work without hesitation.

Kurt is my goto for landscaping. He's done my patio, walkways, armour stone along driveway, and recently a walkway with retaining wall and a double gate. His crew is always respectful, they keep the jobsite tidy, and do a clean job.

We cannot stress how happy we are with the job that Kurt and his crew did. We were not quite sure what we wanted, and Kurts guided us through to our dream backyard! Very professional and always easy to reach, we were kept informed throughout the process and had ABSOLUTELY NO SURPRISES OR UNWARRANTED COSTS! I have been in the construction industry for a long time and have never had a trade like DDL. I will let the photos spread for themselves. P.S. In case the value seems like a lot, we also had our existing 2 level deck and stairs refinished and clad in composite.

Distinctive Designs was great to deal with from the first point of contact. Kurt returned my inquiry promptly and I received a fair quote quickly. When the team showed up to do the job they were polite, careful, fast and efficient. My new backyard patio looks beautiful and just the way I envisioned and discussed with Kurt. We were very excited to start using it and are already looking for new projects to do with Distinctive Design.

After creating a new walkway for our front yard, we had Kurt and his team back to refresh our backyard with a stone walkway and patio and add a pergola to our deck. As usual the project was completed on time even after adding a few additions to the original quote. Kurt chose just the right materials and the yard looks amazing. Thanks again Kurt Ken & Tamra

Kurts team created me a new front porch, stair, landing, walkway design along with installing a sprinkler system and rebuilding my back deck, resodding, along with other small details. I used them at my previous home and didnt even hesitate to use them again for this new homes project. His team is professional and always a delight. Thank you Kurt and your entire crew. We could not be happier with the entire process with Kurt and his Distinctive Design Team. Kurt was so very patient with us as we went back and forth on design and colour (more then a few times) He arrived when he said he would. The crew could not have been nicer. Not only was the work great but they went out of their way to be kind to my kids, neighbours and animals. They left the job site tidy each night. Kurt was on-site to make sure everything was done to the highest of standards. I will recommend them to anyone looking for landscape design work knowing that they will be in good hands.

This was our second and much larger project with Kurt, and just like the first project, Distinctive Designs delivered as promised, even through pandemic-induced supply chain challenges! We absolutely love our backyard, which now includes a 38'x16' in-ground fiberglass pool with state-of-the-art salt system chlorinator, pump, heater, filter, and led lights (all of which I can control from my phone!), fire table, 8'x8' hot tub, in-ground irrigation system (also controllable with my phone), and swanky privacy screens that are the envy of the neighbourhood. Like all projects of this scale, there were scope changes along the way, and Kurt was always upfront, honest, and transparent about the potential cost and schedule impacts of any changes. And certainly worth noting - every member of Kurt's crew was very professional and courteous. I would unreservedly recommend Distinctive Designs to anyone considering a landscaping project of any size.
