November 19, replaced all old caulking around every window and door. Gold Seal was very efficient from quote to completion of job, even completed difficult hard to reach spots such as the basement windows, colour match was great. I'm very pleased with the outcome. Gold Seal Caulking was a great company to deal with. Highly professional organization. Professionalism starts at the initial communication: 1. I emailed for a quote through Homestars and got a phone call that evening. 2. All emails were responded to within 24 to 48 hours (often sooner). 3. Mike came out for quote that week and provided a detailed quote. 4. We discussed a work date and set it. Professionalism is confirmed by: 1. Sticking to the quoted work date (fortunately, no rain that day to delay the caulking). 2. Team showed up on time that day (and some members showed up a little early!) 3. Quality of the job: they removed old caulking, used foam backing rod and used high quality silicone caulking. 4. The appearance of the new caulking was incredible and the crew not only did the windows and doors but also vents and exhaust pipes. 5. Job was completed within the day and cleanup of all old caulking done - was spotless. Mike, Eddy and the rest of the team at Gold Seal Caulking are highly recommended. Be wary of lowball quotes, they certainly won't meet up with the high quality of materials, workmanship and communication from Mike and Gold Seal Caulking!

In June 2012 we had Michael and staff caulk the back windows, doors and front patio. Very knowledgeable, friendly and professional. We were selling the home so we were able to pass the warranty onto the new home owner. Excellent company and will recommend them to others in a heart beat!

I had been thinking about caulking my windows since 2010, and never could have made up my mind as who to use due to the concerns over the quality. Someone told me to use Homestars. I did and I found Gold Seal Caulking. After reading all the good reviews, I decided to meet up with Mike. Mike was very easy to work with. He gave me an impression that he would do a good job on my little project. I trusted my instinct and did not ask anybody else to come to my house for estimation. His team arrived on the day we agreed. The work was finished beautifully, and I have to mention that they did my side door and garage windows as well even though they were not part of the work scope. They did because Mike felt it would make my house look nice with same caulking! Thank you Mike!

I got 2 quotes for recaulking my 12 year old house. Gold Seal gave a much better price. Mike, the owner, was very pleasant to deal with. They came on the day promised and did an excellent job removing the old caulking and recaulking. I highly recommend Mike and his company.

Update: August 16, 2012 I had another request for caulking required for walk out stone work. Gold Seal Caulking came back and did great job. Highly recommended! Fantastic job. Nice and clean! True professionals. I would recommend them without hesitation for any kind of caulking job. They clean up behind, they came on time and as promised and they are overall nice guys. Give them a try. Gold Seal Caulking did a great job!! I have an 8 year old home and had looked around for various companies to re-caulk my windows. After some research I made the decision to go with Gold Seal caulking for a few reasons: 1) Professionalism – Mike (the owner) was very easy to speak with. He is polite, professional and gives the overall impression that he will do a good job for you. 2) Pricing – Gold Seal Caulking pricing was very competitive not the least expensive, but not overpriced. I’m sure there are cheaper prices out there, but as the saying goes “you get what you pay for”. 3) Knowledgeable – Mike (the owner) took me through the process of how they would remove the old caulking which other companies claimed it wasn’t necessary. His explanation of when they would use a backer rod made total sense. 4) Responsiveness – Mike got back to me quickly within a day or in a few hours for any questions I had. 5) The feedback I read on Homestars was really good, the unbiased opinion of homeowners really help with the decision making process 6) Specialized – Caulking is what they do. It’s not a side job or a part time gig. This is the business they are in. On the day of the job, they arrived in the morning and they finished in the early afternoon. The windows look great along with all the other areas you don’t realize needed caulking i.e. vents, vent pipes, door frames etc. The “lines” were clean and the crew made sure no debris or mess was left. After the job was done, Mike provided his written guarantee, his invoice and told me to call him if I had any problems. That same day I accidently stepped on the caulking around the door frame and made a mess of it. I called Mike and true to his word fixed the area where I stepped.
