Tile install
Same old story, hired a general contractor who could handle everything... We'll thank heavens for Tilestar & Dmitry. They came to the rescue on a tile install and fixed a disaster in the making! Not the cheapest install, but I learned, you get what you pay for. Spend a little extra on Tilestar, you will be the envy of everyone who sees the work!

Shower Tile
I called Tilestars with a relatively small task. Dmitri answered my call right away and was able to come by the next day, despite being busy with larger projects. He was extremely helpful - telling me what I needed to know about finding new tile - and then came back quickly to complete the job, working around the plumber's timeline and never complaining. The work is amazing - you would never know that some of the original tile in our shower had been removed and replaced. Dmitri and his team were pleasant and professional throughout and took extra care to leave behind a clean workspace. Huge thank you!

Bathroom reno
This is a belated review for the project that was completed by TileStars' guys back in November 2013. Vlad did an excellent job without exceptions. It was a small-to-medium size project - bathroom downstairs, which took 6 days to complete: tiling three walls, bathtub and shower stall with marble stone. Complexity was very high, as I understand: first, there is a delicate marble which is soft and will easily break along the beautiful "veins". So, make sure you buy 30% more material than the area to cover, if you do marble. Then I had not-so-plum walls, plus 45 degree window sills and uneven bare cement floor that had to be leveled first. Leveling of the floor had to be done first and took one full day. The guys listened to my every wish and tried to make it happen, providing valuable advice on the way. The finished work is perfect, something that me and my family enjoys now every day.

Backsplash installation
Dimitri was very responsive right from the initial contact by email, through to the estimate and actual install. We had chosen an irregular shaped tile and Dimitri and Vladamir's skill and experience really shows off. They even managed to maintain the pattern along the wall edges and corners. We are absolutely pleased with Tilestars and would highly recommend them, not only for their quality of work, but also for their customer service, friendly attitude and clean working environment.

open concept gut and re -tile
we have an open concept main floor. porecelain tiles , carpet had to be all removed . after getting 2 quotes we went with dimitri based on his knowledge and AMAZING SERVICE! in one week they gutted main floor tiles and carpet ,had an electrician install nu heat , and laid down new tiles . the best contracting experience I have ever had! this is what you get with tile stars . excellent service, great prices based on true value, going the extra mile , amazing tile work . quick no hassle renovation , dimitri thank you again . you made my dream floor come true

Kitchen Backsplash
Tilestars saved the day and our kitchen backsplash project. We attempted to replace our existing ceramic backsplash with mosaic tiles. We did one small section and it took 4 days and had a couple of mistakes!! We called a few Tilers to come by for cost estimates to finish the job. Dimitri came by the following day and had a quote to us that evening! His quote was mid range but his knowledge and availability were two of the deciding factors for us. As well, his professional demeanour coupled with his great social skills won us over. When it came to the project, he and the 2 Alexeis came into our home and impressed us with their skills as tilers and understanding of how to leave a zero footprint in our kitchen and the main floor of our home. They used drop sheets and plastic between the kitchen and the rest of the house. While removing our old tiles they used a shop vac to suck up as much of the drywall dust as they could. They even repaired the mistake we made on the first section that we did ourselves. I chose them after reading all the great reviews on Homestars and am so happy that it was all true. You can't go wrong with these guys at all!

Replace backsplash
What can I say that hasn't been said already. Dmitri is a consummate professional and his team is nothing short of the same. Articulate work, efficient and well prepared. They arrived on time and left without any indication whatsoever that the kitchen had just undergone a relatively dusty overhaul. A job well done with a much deserved commendation.

Backsplash Installation
My wife and I were originally going to tackle this job ourselves, but after seeing the detail and work required, glad we left it to a professional. After reviewing a couple quotes, decided to go with Tilestars. There were other slightly cheaper installers, but very pleased we chose Dmitri and his team. Very fair price and quality work. They did an excellent job installing a mosaic and stainless steel back-splash. They were very patient and made any adjustments to tiles we asked until we were 100% satisfied. They completely cleaned up all areas before leaving us with a beautiful finished installation. It's hard to find companies that take such care and pride in their workmanship. Tilestars definitely live up to their reputation. Highly recommended.

Kitchen Tile Backsplash Installation
I can't say enough great things about the guys from Tilestars. They were knowledgeable, friendly and very good at what they did. You would be doing yourself a favour to choose them for your next Tile project.

Foyer, Mudroom and Powderroom
Great experience with Dmitri and his team. Very friendly and professional. Gave us a clear, written quote. Started the job on time and finished it ahead of schedule. All of the work looks fantastic. After they were finished, we didn't like the look of one marble tile (we had supplied the tiles ourselves) and they came back to switch it for no extra charge. They wanted us to be 100% happy...not 99% happy. And we were 100% happy. Will definitely use them for our next tiling project.
