We moved into a 16 year old home mid-June 2013. We had our hardwood restrained prior to moving in and wanted to redo the tile as well to a 24x24" porcelain tile. We had two quotes provided to us by tile installers through referrals. Both contractors refused to remove the existing tile giving excuses about why they couldn't do it and one even said to choose a smaller tile because he was afraid to cut the tiles. Ultimately, neither would commit to the job. A colleague of my husband's recommended to use Homestars to find someone good to do the job. This is where we found Dimitri. He and his team were phenomenal. He came promptly to provide an estimate. He clearly and reasonably priced out each aspect of the project from renting a garbage bin, to removing the tile, to hiring professionals to disconnect existing appliances and plumbing, to install of new drypack, to materials and labour for install of the new tiles. He committed to the job and agreed to start the following week! He and his team worked professionally, quickly-completed kitchen, foyer and powder room in 4 days and skillfully-it looks perfect! They contained the mess as much as possible and cleaned up after each day, leaving the house in livable conditions despite the huge amount of work being done. After 2 weeks of job completion, we found a defective tile of which we could not remove some dull scratches. Dimitri actually returned and removed the defective tile completely and reinstalled a new one in its place at no extra cost! Everyone who visits compliments us on the amazing tile job. We highly recommend Tilestars for any tiling job and will definitely be calling them back for future renos.

Dmitri was easy to contact and kept in touch during the project. He was always on time and prepared. He gave us good suggestions for the project (how to lay the tiles, what colour grout to use). Dmitri and his crew worked together well to complete our laundry room. At the end of the day, they cleaned up after themselves. The end results are professional and we're very happy. We're already planning our next project with them.

Tilestars were absolute professionals from beginning to end. So many issues arose throughout my renovations -- particularly in the bathroom where the previous owners glued tiles to plywood using PL premium. Removing it was a nightmare, and I feared for the worst. Dmitri and his team worked tirelessly to remove everything without issue. They quickly gutted the remainder of the bathroom, attacked the kitchen backsplash, installed new cement board / drywall, and did am amazing job with the tiles. Dmitri even re-did a section of the backsplash that I wasn't completely happy with. I am so happy with the quality and workmanship. I'm going to be renovating my basement bathroom next year -- I will definitely be calling Dmitri for that job, as well. Thanks, Tilestars!!

I contacted Dmitri based on the Homestar reviews below. We were finishing a basement bathroom project and had 24 x 24 tiles to lay on the floor . I was concerned about the large format tiles, the uneven subfloor and the trough drain system that we were using. Dmitri looked carefully at the job and made a few suggestions and provided a price. His price was very good and we hired him to install the floor tiles. It went flawlessly. His attention to detail was fantastic. We had not decided on the shower wall tiles at that point, because he did such a great job on the floor we asked Tilestars to install the wall tiles a few weeks later after deciding on what we wanted. Again, Dmitri and Sacha did a great job. The wall tiles were even larger then the floor tiles (36 x 18) and it took time and experience to install them correctly. We could not be happier with the results. They spent considerable time on the layout and cuts to ensure the best results. In the process, they respected our time by calling ahead and informing us of their ETA. They respected our house by going beyond with the cleanup and laying drop cloths to protect the hardwood and carpeting. It was a very professional job that looks amazing. Tilestars lives up to the reviews and feedback that they've received on this website. Dmitri and his team have worked hard for this reputation, it is well deserved. Thanks !

Dimitri and his workers did a great job on our bathroom. Arrived on time and did the work in quick and timely matter. He went over and above to make the project look great. When I have other work to be done he will be the first to call. Job well done.

I called Tilestars based on previous reviews . I wanted to complete a new backsplash for a new kitchen and finish off the tile baseboard in the laundry room . My previous tile installer was not available for at least another 1.5 weeks and was hoping to get Tilestars in sooner. Dmitri did not disappoint . I contacted Tilestars Friday before the long weekend and Dmitri agreed to come out Monday (holiday Monday ! ) . Their attention to detail and clean up was second to none . Dmitri's grout recommendation was perfect .Thanks again for the great job . I would definitely recommend for your tile project.

We ended up choosing Tilestars from a couple of highly rated tiling companies we contacted, and are very happy with our decision. Our bathroom tiling project was small but we were on a hectic deadline to finish, yet Dmitri was able to adjust to our timeline even for last minute changes. We were impressed by Vladimir I and Vladimir II's professional and friendly attitudes and their excellent work with our far from ideal walls. We chose a tile pattern suggested by Dmitri and are more that satisfied with the outcome. It was suprisingly pleasing to find that they also left our place as clean as when they first arrived. I had Dmitri come in to install a backsplash for my kitchen. What can I say? He is one of those rare contractors that genuinely cares about his clients and is completely honest. To top it all off, he did an amazing job and made sure that he and his team cleaned up before they left.
