    Dishwasher installation

    Atiar arrived on time (boxing weekend) and was very professional. He removed the old dishwasher, installed the new machine and also offered to help my husband move the old machine to the garage. He also guaranteed his work and asked us to call anytime should we have any concerns with the new install. I will gladly recommend High Tech to my family and friends!

    Refrigerator Repair

    I called Hightech Appliance to see if they could help repair our fridge which just stopped working. The freezer was cooling but the fridge was hot. After reading reviews I called Atiar and he said he could come by the same day to have a look and diagnose the problem. Sure enough he came when he said he would and after taking my freezer apart he determined that the motor for the fan was broken. He didn't have the part with him but assured me he would come back the next day between 2-4 to replace it. I was worried he wouldn't show up but he arrived right at 2 the next day with a new motor and installed it. He was extremely careful not to damage anything and cleaned up any mess. My fridge is working great again just in time for the holidays. Atiar was even able to fix a burner on my oven while he was here and didn't ask for any more money. I would use Atiar and Hightech Appliance Service again without any hesitation. Thanks Atiar for fixing my fridge so quickly.

    Washer Repair

    My washing machine stopped working and I was about to call the manufacturer to come and repair it when my daughter recommended that I call Atiar. I am so happy that I did. He was prompt, tidy and efficient. Took no time to diagnose and resolve the issue. I will recommend High Tech Appliance to all of my friends.

    Dishwasher Repair

    Atiar answered the phone the first time I called him. He came when he said he was going to. He solved the problem quickly and was very polite and respectful. I would absolutely call him again for any of my appliance issues, and would recommend him to anyone who is searching for someone reliable. Thank you!!

    Fixing Frigidaire Stove

    Atiar is a God-send. My stove was making this horrible rattling sound, like a jet engine, clinking and rattling. I am hosting a dinner party in a few days and could not deal with this noise. I turned to HomeStars, and, contacted 3 of the top rated people. One kept telling me he would come, and, never showed up. A second more expensive company (based on the cost of other reviews) never bothered to reply. Within minutes of calling Atiar, he set up a time to visit, the same day. Imagine that, someone who actually gives you a time and sticks to it. Atiar was punctual. After working on my stove for a while, trying to troubleshoot, he realized he would have to take it all apart and work on the fan itself. Given that he had already spent a lot of time there, and, have other appointments for the day, he said he could come back the following day to finish the job, at the end of the day, so that he could take as long as needed to ensure it was fixed before my dinner party. He showed up today, and, viola, the stove is fixed and operating as quiet as a mouse. 2 house calls, a few hours of work, and, he did not charge me a penny more than he originally quoted. You do not find people as honest as this anymore. I had to register an account and leave this review. As a small business person myself, I appreciate honest people that work for a good price. I would wholeheartedly recommend Atiar, and, will be using him for all my repair needs in future (which hopefully there will not be many, but, given the way appliances are built today, I am sure there will be more).

    Bosch Washer Repair

    I called High Tech Appliance Service because of the positive reviews on Homestars. I wasn't disappointed. When I called for service I was asked a few details about the problem with my washer (the drum wouldn't spin). After a brief discussion I felt that my problem, and its likely cause, was well understood. We made an appointment that fit my schedule and Atiar arrived on time. After a brief diagnosis he confirmed the problem was as he thought and fortunately he brought the necessary parts with him to make the repair. He quickly made the repair and we tested out the washer. Everything was back in order in less than an hour. Having an appliance break down is never a happy occasion but Atiar made the experience a pleasant one. In every aspect I was treated with courtesy and all charges were fully explained up front. Atiar went out of his was to make sure I was happy with the repair. I highly recommend HighTech Appliance.

    Dishwasher Repair

    I needed my Samsung dishwasher repaired and called companies from the top down based on rating. High Tech Appliance was the soonest available and therefore hired. Within 2-3hrs, he was at my home. He quickly diagnosed the error code as 0E which he determine needing to replace the PCB board. Code 0E according to a Samsung rep is water overflow and not PCB board replacing. The rep says it is possible a valve. I was very skeptical that it needed a PCB board replaced. When I called High Tech back explaining the rep said it was possible a valve, he quickly said he'll order the valve then. I told him I was not a repairman and it was up to him to order what was needed. I was very uneasy with the diagnosis and didn't want to be paying for unneeded parts so he assured me it was the PCB board and that if I needed any other parts, I will not pay for it. I didn't like the idea of paying $100+ for a PCB and it turned out I just needed a $10 part, but I really wanted it fixed and agreed. In the mean time I also broke the latch and asked him to order that too. Within a few days he was back to install the PCB board and the latch. The latch was fixed properly but the PCB board did not fix my dishwasher and that he thinks it is the motor which is very expensive. He then said I did not need to pay for the PCB board but I will need to pay for the motor. I paid him for the latch, but he did not have full change but he was coming back so I wasn't worried. Within a few days he was back to install the motor. After the install, error code LE appeared which is a leak. He assured me he installed it correctly and that it could be a leak anywhere else and I should call Samsung. So I called Samsung while he was still there but he seemed to be in a rush to leave and packed his things while I was speaking to the rep. The Samsung rep says we have to find the leak and there is nothing they could do over the phone. I was positive we did not have a leak issue previously so I pulled the dishwasher out and looked below at the motor. I ran a cycle and immediately water started pouring all over the floor. If he had took his time to diagnose the leak, he would solved the leak issue himself. I then properly connected the leaking part and the error code went away and the dishwasher still did not work. Essentially I was back at square one. I texted him that I fixed the leak and that it still did not work. He said he was going to call Samsung himself and he'll call me back. A day later he called back and said I should call Samsung to have it fixed because there are too many issues. He said he lost some money and I lost some money and he'll do a free install if I buy a new dishwasher. Why should I lose any money if he did not fix it? And now I also lost my change. End of the day I paid $85 for nothing.

    appliance repair

    The switch panel on our range hood popped out, exposing wires. Attempting to push it back in resulted in minor fireworks and a call to HighTech Appliance repair. I was very surprised that Atiar was able to come within the hour. The repair job was fast and neat.

    Over the Range Microwave Install

    Amazing service. I am a physician, so I am very particular who comes in my house and am OCD about making sure things are done properly and that the people coming over aren't oddball rejects. My over the range microwave was broken and I had already bought a brand new one, but needed help to install it. Thanks to Homestars, I found High Tech Appliance Service, which has been the best experience I've ever had. First, Atiar came to my place in downtown Toronto on the SAME day..called at 09:00 and came at 15:00, and ON time. He called to give me a 15 minutes heads up. Some appliance installers won't come to downtown Toronto due to traffic, but Atiar did. He came, took off his shoes, and promptly went to work. He diligently installed my microwave, step by step as if he already memorized the instructions for my specific microwave. He carried his own tools and had everything under the sun, even the aluminum tape to seal the exhaust. He made an effort to make sure everything was left exactly as he found it - that is no garbage and no sawdust. I can tell he's very busy because he must have had at least 5 -10 phone calls during my installation- he answered them concisely and quickly, all while working. This can't be said by some repair services...I've had some spend 30 minutes on the phone, then have the nerve to bill me time for it. The fact that people are asking for his business was a sign that I made a good choice. The total time to install the microwave was about 2 hours...in this time I was working on my laptop and not once did he take a break...every minute he spent at my house was spent on my microwave. Furthermore, the installation came with a great price and guarantee. Sure, you might get a "cheaper" price on craigslist, but you will pay dearly in the future for shoddy service ( remember: The bitterness of poor quality remains long after the sweetness of low price is forgotten) In summary, Atiar is an extremely friendly guy who is punctual, knows his sh*t, gets it done, and gets it done right. The next house I purchase, you can be reassured I will contact Atiar for all my installations. 100 out of 10 stars!!!!!!!

    Amazing Service

    I am really happy that I called Atiar when my washing machine broke. He came very quickly and assessed the issue. I was disappointed that it couldn't be fixed immediately, as he had to go get a part but he ordered & had it within 24 HOURS!!!!! Really amazing. He arrived on time both days and taught me how to avoid this problem in the future. While I don't want appliances breaking in my home, I am so happy to have someone who is so great to call in those circumstances. He also was very kind to my interfering kids & dog. I wish there was a higher rating, this guy went above and beyond. Thanks.
