I was looking for a mold expert to check and remove the black mold that covered half of our master washroom ceiling. The Mold Guy has so many positive reviews that convinced me to call. Ross has come over a few times since the original visit for other mold issues in our house and has only charged us the initial visit for the washroom.We have some water leaks into our basement and he knew we are going thru a hard time and was so kind not to charge us for two of those visits. Ross is an expert in his field and has always told us exactly what to do and have relieved our fears about the mold issues. Kay is so pleasant to talk to and even knew our name and house issues we are dealing with. One time Kay got Ross to come over on the same day we called. Amazing customer service! Our basement flooded, water had thoroughly saturated the walls. A friend gave us Ross' number from the Mold Guy who had hired them before to do mold remediation in her home. She highly recommended him adding that the mold remediation business is saturated with so called experts who do potentially harmful work like pour bleach on mold to clean it. Ross came by within an hour of calling him. He took the time to give our basement and home a thorough inspection. He reassured us concluding that based on visuals we had little to worry about. He gave us an estimate for the flood cleanup as well as air quality testing to be conclusive about the mold presence. But when he saw budget was an issue he proceeded to give us detailed instructions on how to remedy the flood effectively ourselves and assured us that the air quality tests were not pressing in his opinion. He even gave us a jug of chemical free cleaner free of charge that he recommended for sterilizing the basement after drying it up. When I asked him how much for the consultation he said "free." I couldn't believe it. Since then we have purchased an old farm house in the country side. There have been some mold issues and Ross is always a phone call away, anytime I call he answers and kindly gives me advice. He rented us a powerful air scrubber machine at a very reasonable cost while we removed the mold. He let us hang on to it for as long as we needed at no extra cost. I could not recommend the mold guy any higher. Ross is very attentive and genuinely caring. And equally as important he is a true expert in the field of mold remediation.

Thank you for SAVING me THOUSANDS of dollars. Having Ross come to my house was the best decision I could've made. After we moved into our resale house, we noticed a funny smell in the basement. A competitor advised us that it was dangerous mold that should be removed immediately, and gave me a quote for thousands to dissect our finished basement. We were terrified, bought masks, plastic sheets, and were 5 minutes from booking the job to rip apart the basement. I called Ross at The Mold Guy for a second opinion. Ross came out the very next day, did a thorough investigation, and showed me that I DIDN'T have a mold problem; merely a small amount of mold that is normal for the age of my house. Ross gave me some D.I.Y. solutions for clean up and future prevention that took only $50 at Home Depot and 3 hours of me working on a Saturday, and it saved me THOUSANDS, if not tens of thousands. Ross came back and performed an Air Quality Test, which confirmed that Ross was RIGHT! No mold problem, at all! Ross was even correct that the smell was caused by sewer problem (also confirmed and repaired by a plumber!) Thanks Ross!!

I had used Mold Services before for another job and had such a great experience with them, that I used them again. I recently moved into my new home and had concerns about one of my bathrooms. I called and spoke with Kay and she was able to schedule an appointment quite quickly. Ross came in, did the air test and explained what needed to be done. Lucas and the two other gentlemen came and did the job. They were pleasant, polite, showed up on time and cleaned up the entire area before they left. Thank you mold services again for doing such a great job!!!!

Ever about to buy a place and you find out there's "toxic black mold" in the basement? And your wife is six months pregnant? My hand's up. It happened to us twice. I suppose Toronto has a dark and moldy underbelly. Researching mold companies is a total nightmare. It's hard to believe anyone and the whole thing seems steeped in confusion and paranoia. My advice? Talk to Ross. You'll see in ten minutes on the phone why we found him the most trustworthy in the city. He doesn't angle for more business. He just wants to help.

The work was done over 2 days and completed on time.
