So we have had 3 appointments for hooking up a new fireplace in our basement and the people that have come have been always late. Our first appointment, the guy was 1 hour late, the 2nd appointment the guy was 2 hours late. The 3rd appointment, the guy was 4 hours late. They still have not completely finished the job, so I guess I will be waiting all day for the next appointment.

I had my gas fireplace serviced recently and was impressed. The service tech Steve was friendly and did a great job. I was able to get a remote system installed with no extra appointment. I had all my questions answered and was able to save money by prepaying for a 3yr annual service plan. I would recommend Hearth and Home to everyone.

I had enquired to Hearth and Home Fireplace Specialities Ltd about improving the look of the fire place insert and Hearth and Home Fireplace Specialities Ltd contacted me and provided the information. we needed.

My husband called Hearth and Home to service both of our gas fireplaces. Technician was punctual and professional. One of the fireplaces needed replacement parts and a follow-up visit. Very good service.

We had two gas fireplaces cleaned and serviced, as well as replacement of the remote unit on one (was not functioning properly). The guys were on time and did an excellent job cleaning the units. Gave great advice on using the fireplaces to more efficiently heat the home. Highly recommend, will have back next year for annual servicing.

This type of renovation is not easy for anyone but the resulting work from from Hearth & Home's renovation division really added value and comfort to a home that was going the other way quickly. Tim's knowledge and experience, along with his crews, really saved this renovation. There is no doubt that Tim Snow is a 10-Star renovations guy!

It wasn't the least expensive but the service and showroom made me feel confident in the choice. They came when they said they would, they installd quickly and efficiently and set up the appointments needed to get gas company approval. Would buy from them again.

Recently my wife and I developed the basement of our Bungalow. Rather than buy a wall unit we had a custom built unit put in along with a fireplace. Now when I am watching the game or a movie, I simply push the remote button and instantly the room is transformed into a high end hotel room.Thanks again to the people and installers from Hearth and Home Fireplace for a job well done.

Hearth and Home installed a fire place in our basement development in late 2010. We had problems with the fire place for nearly a year. Although it was frustrating when the fire place constantly stopped working, Hearth and Home provided excellent service and continually returned to our home every few weeks to repair and replace parts until the cause of the problem was finally found. The fire place now works great and we are very satisfied customers.

Our bonus room gets very cold in the winter so we wanted a fireplace to warm it up. After checking out a few fireplace stores a friend recommended Dave at Hearth and Home. We told Dave our requirements and he helped us pick out the perfect gas stove. Dave came out to give us an estimate and ensure that we could install the stove we had chosen. The installation was done very professionally and the two man crew tidied everything up. Hearth and Home has an arrangement with a gasfitting company and the gasfitter was also very good. All in all it was a very smooth process with the hardest part being the decision making process!
