Ash from Global Carpets in Vancouver, BC was fabulous to work with! He helped as I struggled with a perfect wood for a renovation of a Penthouse in Yaletown. He showed endless patience and finally introduced me to the representative for the Vintage line of Engineered Hardwood. I ended up with a custom smokey grey colour in an oiled Maple - perfection! Ash also helped me find a complimentary grey/brown wool carpet for the den and bedrooms. The prices were very competitive and the service very good! Ash is very responsive, returning calls immediately!!! I would highly recommend Global and especially Ash to anyone looking for flooring in the Vancouver area.

I have used Ash and Global Carpets on two separate projects and they did an excellent job on both. Global had the best price on the floor I wanted and the install was efficient and a quality job too.

Global carpet has a wide variety of different flooring you can choose from. Their selection is a little overwhelming but none the less you will find what you are looking for here. My only complaint is the installer for the carpet they hired was absolutely terrible. The carpet was not installed properly and is folding on the floor in some places. Also installation was not proper as the nails on the side for the installation stick out of the carpet! OUCH! if i walk on the side of any wall I keep getting poked by nails. I told Global about this problem but they said there is nothing they can do. I know have to walk around my house making sure I watch where i walk so i do not step on the nails stick out from underneath the carpet.

Love my new floors. There were some glitches with the installation but Ash took care of them and the replacement was done without too much extra hassle. If I need carpet/hardwood in the future, I will be back to see Ash.

We had a great experience with Global Carpets and Hardwood during the sale and installation of our new floor. Very quick installation, professional, courteous and great job on the clean up. if you are looking for new flooring, go see Ash!

Global did a perfect job for the most competitive price. I would recommend their services to anyone looking for a hardwood floor installation. I received several quotes for my project which involved tearing up the existing glued down hardwood floor in a contemporary apartment building and installing a fairly costly wide plank engineered oak floor. Global was the only company to include all the prep work of removing the old floor with underlay and levelling in the quote which was still comparable with the other companies that left this as an open ended 'extra'. As it turned out the prep work was considerable and took longer than anticipated. The installation deadline was still met by bringing in extra crew at no extra cost. The actual installation was perfectly done in every way, it could not be better I am really delighted with my new floor and Global's first rate customer service.

Jimmy is very knowlegable and I have been buying from him for over 10 years. He has products at every price point. If price is important he will get you cheap. If quality is important he will get you the best.
