Added a new 240v circuit in the electrical panel and a quick disconnect switch outside for a mini-spilt heat pump. Paul was on time, professional and genuinely took pride in his work. He had a couple of curve balls thrown his way resulting from other trades involved in the job, and he handled each one without hesitation. I will recommend Hot Electric. Excellent job.

The lights in our Steveston townhouse were flickering at random times. Hot Electric came and investigated.They tightened the connections in the fuse box and experimented with a power surge to try to duplicate the problem. Finally, they recommended I call BC Hydro as they believed the problem was outside. I was amazed and grateful not to be charged for their time. Thank you!

We remodeled out lighting in out home. They did a good job. We got pot lights everywhere. They switches were awesome, up to date. All wires were hidden. I appreciate the service and highly recommend

We are extremely happy with the work done by Tristan, Rob and Nick for the entire rewiring of our older home during a major renovation we just completed that was contracted through Vancouver General Contractors. Tristan and his team were very professional, courteous, knowledgeable, friendly and always quick to get back when we had any questions. It was a pleasure dealing with them and would highly recommend them to anyone.

From the start, Paul presented himself and his company in a very professional manner. Paul visited my home to meet with me and go over the scope of work (interconnected smoke alarms, furnace electrical, and fan installation) Soon after, he presented me with a quote for the work to be completed. Throughout the process he and his men work diligently to complete the project in just one day. It was refreshing to work with a company who truely values quality and customer satisfaction. I am a returning customer -- I was very satisfied with work they had done for me in the past (replacing an electric panel and installing several electric baseboard heaters). When I needed to bring some wiring in a basement kitchen up to code, I did not hesitate to contact Hot Electric. They were able to synch their work schedule with the other trades that were called in for the kitchen renovation. They demonstrate the knowledge and skills required for licensed electricians, and came within the estimate cited. I also appreciate Tristan's good communication skills-- he is able and willing to troubleshoot problems with me, taking time to explain what needs to be done without being patronizing or rude--attributes that are even more important to me as a feminist who is often challenged to find such qualities when hiring persons in the trades. Indeed, Tristan and his crew are polite and respectful of my property and belongings, they clean up after themselves. In my experience thus far with Hot Electric, I have found them to be skilled at their work, honest and courteous. As such, it is with confidence that I recommend Hot Electric and if I do need more work done, I will certainly contact them again!

As part of a complete renovation by Vancouver General Contractors, all electrical work was performed by Hot Electric. The young men - Tristan, Rob and Nick - were courteous, efficient, and worked nicely together. They showed excellent skills and experience. I highly recommend them.

We hired Hot Electric for the electrical work on the renovation of our kitchen, great room and bedroom. Paul and his team did an outstanding job. Paul took the time to come to our house beforehand, explain what kind of work was required, what options were available and then he gave us a detailed and reasonable quote. Paul and his team came to do the work as scheduled and completed everything on time and within the quote. Paul was extremely helpful and professional - he offered creative solutions, including the installation of a subpanel instead of running hundreds of wires back to the main panel. The work was a very high level of quality and attention to detail. For example, all light switches and electrical outlets were installed exactly straight and level to each other. I am a municipal trades inspector and I know when I deal with a high quality contractor like Paul and the Hot Electric team. All work was done with permit and inspected without issue. I was thoroughly impressed and satisfied with their work from start to finish. We highly recommend.

Paul and his team were fantastic throughout our substantial kitchen renovation. He always took time to discuss our different options and explain the pros and cons of each. We hired a general contractor to add a three storey extension on the back of our house and were lucky that they hired Tristan and his team (Rob and Nick) to do the electrical work. They were efficient, clean, on time, respectful and took the time to explain things to us. The work included all new wiring for the new extension (including a bathroom) as well as upgrading the panel and adding a bathroom fan to an existing bathroom. They also corrected any poor work they found that was done by previous electricians. They are definitely our go to company when we need electrical services again. They would almost certainly have received a 10 rating except we didn't have a full relationship with the company (was through a contractor). I would ABSOLUTELY RECOMMEND Hot Electric for your job.
