    Great Service and Expert Technician

    Ive had the pleasure of dealing with JPS a couple times now. Devon is an extremely dependable and professional technician. Made some significant upgrades to our dual thermostat situation and really appreciated Devons insight. Were very happy with the work and would highly recommend Devon and JPS!

    Customer service

    These people talk a good game but do not follow up with service,they send out apprentice tradesmen on there own who dont seem to have a clue about what they are doing. They give a bunch of double talk and tried to tell me that water can run uphill???

    Excellent and Meticulous Work and Follow-up

    We recently moved into a new-to-us home that had a very old and rusty air-conditioner. When we decided to replace it, we decided to get quotes on a heat pump, also, since a heat pump functions to both heat and cool. JPS gave us quotes on a few different options, including installing a Daikin air conditioner or a Temp Shift Heat Pump that would work in conjunction with our existing furnace. There was a $360 difference in cost, so we decided to go with a heat pump. (Note: this isn't exactly an apples-to-apples cost comparison, as Daikin is a more premium brand. However, Daikin allows a hybrid heat pump/furnace installation only with a Daikin furnace, and our existing, non-Daikin, furnace is not that old.) So, anyway, it seemed like a no-brainer to us to go with the heat pump, which is more efficient than even a high-efficiency furnace, and keep our furnace as an auxiliary system for when the temperatures are well below freezing or we want to raise the temperature very quickly. The installation was smooth and very well done (according to the electrical inspector). We also got a new thermostat which is very smart and can be set to switch from heat pump to furnace, depending on which would be more efficient for the conditions. The thermostat installation did require a couple of extra visits to get it working optimally, because it is a new model of thermostat with new features. I appreciated that JPS made sure to come back and get everything set up perfectly. The installation also included a cleaning of our ductwork and our existing furnace, to make sure everything would be functioning at its best. Without exception, everyone I dealt with at the company, from the sales rep, to the installers, to the supervisor, and to the duct cleaner, was friendly and helpful. It was a pleasure to deal with this company. I'm also more than pleased with the heat pump, which we've had for four weeks now. The heating in the house is more even and comfortable, room to room, and less dry than with just the furnace. I almost didn't give this company the 10/10 it deserves, though, because of the many requests they sent me to do reviews. Every single time I received a visit from the company for any reason (a total of 5 visits), as well as when I called the company with questions, I received requests both by email and by text to do a review (on different platforms other than HomeStars). When I didn't do a review right away, I'd get another set of requests a few days later. Between emails and texts, this was TWENTY-FOUR review requests, which I feel borders on harassment. I'm sure I'm not the only person who is tired of being constantly asked to spend our time and energy doing reviews for literally everything. (I've even been asked to review toilet paper purchases!) I DO like to write reviews for major purchases, and had always intended to do a review of this one, anyhow, but.... I do hope that the company will reconsider how and how often it solicits reviews, because it was an excellent experience otherwise.

    Furnace inspection and maintenance

    Booked our annual furnace inspection and the technician, Charles R. arrived on time was professional and personable. JPS has been excellent to deal with every time.

    New Furnace

    Last week we had a new furnace installed. We went with JPS after having 5 other estimates. They were not the cheapest but we felt the most comfortable with JPS after Jay came to our house and did a thorough check on our current furnace, our chimney and our A/C unit. He took the time to explain their installation process and the Daikon furnace. Jay responded to my questions on his vacation. James, owner, was flexible and the installers were professional and cleaned up at the end of the installation. I would not hesitate to recommend JPS. Thanks for a seamless process. R & J.

    AC unit install

    New furnace and A/C installation

    From start to finish, the company demonstrated excellence and I would recommend to family and friends. The salesperson was so professional and the installers were careful, experienced and patient in explaining new equipment. They went over and above what we expected. Refreshing.

    Charge for things not done, doesn't have the right equipment, and more

    Multiple issues. Had them trouble shoot into a defective airconditioner, at which time i think the technician did a reasonable job, including cleaning out the airconditioner condenser using the hose. At that time he said an air compressor would work better, but he didn't have it with him as i asked for trouble shooting, not service. ok... I then scheduled a service for the other airconditioner and a duct cleaning, including a vent to a spare dryer. - They showed up without an air compressor and made no effort to clean the airconditoner condenser because of that. I cleaned it myself later and it certainly needed it. - The vacuum they use for the duct cleaning was small and plug into a regular outlet...not nearly the power the vacuum trucs have. The person doing it was in an out in a couple hours. I subsequently had another company clean the vents again which took him 7 hours, and he showed me the original renovation debris JPS did not get out. They also didn't didn't even have access panels where they were supposed to. - They also charged me to clean a dryer vent. I questions whether they actually did it later and they assured me they did. when i had the ducts cleaned subsequently i asked the other person to check it again and it was clear it was never cleaned. I was not able to use the dryer between those cleanings because of that (it's a spare dryer...). In short, they do a shotty job, don't show up with the right tools for the job, charge for services not rendered.

    Furnace repair

    FURNACE STOPPED WORKING. Called Sun - came on Mon and fixed it plus added some stuff (water saver on Humidifier). Explained what had gone wrong.
