    Furnace & AC Servicing

    We have a service maintenance plan from when they installed AC for us, so theres no fee for the annual maintenance check of our AC & furnace. This cost was for a UV light and humidifier pad. They did a very thorough check of the furnace and the AC condenser - excellent customer service

    Needed a gas valve for our carrier furnace.

    Called them in the morning and explained that Atco gas came over and saud the vr8 gas valve failed. I sent pictures of the valve, and they could come up with a match. I was told the tech would be over between 3 and 5. He called and showed up close to 6. He said he had one left and it may fit. Well it didn't. He said he'd get it Monday morning from a supplier, as they were closed on the weekend. Unless we wanted to get them to open up it would be $400, I declined. He quoted $880 to install the part Monday., unless i found someone sooner. I didn't want to spend the entire weekend with no furnace. He charged me $135 for a diagnosis fee, and if I wanted a thermo cup it would be an additional $300. I already knew it was the valve, but paid it anyway. After only a few calls I found a company that had the valve, after I sent them the picture. I was quoted well over a hundred dollars cheaper all in. The fellow made it over 30 minutes later and has the exact part, brand new in the box. The price also included the thermo cup, that I was quoted $300 extra, all included in the price. I was up and running in half an hour. This is my story.

    Furnace Repair

    Very professional, friendly and helpful team with great products

    From a service check (organized by Tessa and performed by a very thorough and helpful Dan) of our almost 20 year old mid efficiency furnace and hot water heater which were having some issues, with eventual need for replacement of 3 significant parts (that would have cost about 1/2 price of a new furnace) plus knowing we would have to replace water heater, we opted to have Daikin high effiency (2 stage). Mick was excellent evaluating the furnace room and providing options for both Furnace and Hot water heater and install work that would be required. Our existing Hot Water heater was a Bradford White which had performed very well, beyond its expected lifespan and Mick was able to provide an updated model of the same. The Daikin 2-stage gives us more savings with reduced gas consumption and is proving to be a great improvement on our old Trane furnace with better and quick warming of the whole house on these latest freezing days. Mick was also helpful in arranging an excellent Honeywell IAQ thermostat that replaces our old manual thermostat and humidistat that were eyesores, so we can now fully program temperature and humidity throughout the week with east changing on cellular phones or via the discrete wall mounted screen, and at a price well that bettered the self install (and less reliable) store brought thermostats. Josh and James were very efficient and considerate with the install (and removal of old) furnace, water heater and thermostat and required duct and pipe changes. We were very impressed with their workmanship. Everyone was very prompt at making their appointment times and it was easy to arrange suitable times for various visits. Mick has also gone out of his way to arrange filters for the whole year. So overall we have significantly improved our home heating with new furnace, hot water heater and wireless thermostat for an amount less that we had expected to pay and with quality components with 12 year warranties. We can thoroughly recommend JPS furnace and Air conditioning and the great staff based on our experience.

    Subpar trouble and diagnostic response to AC unit issue

    Ever since JPS installed the furnace in 2019 at my residence we've had subpar AC in the house. The AC unit was installed 2 years before by another company for reference. We finally decided to act on this, and JPS technician came out and immediately diagnosed a compressor failure in the AC unit and advised since still under warranty to refer back to the company that installed. JPS advised an ~$3000 cost for them to replace. I had mentioned that i noticed airflow had been suboptimal in cooling phase to the tech but was told this is normal. After consulting with multiple inept techs at the other company and being given the run around from them I found out how to access the dealer settings in my Daikon One thermostat that JPS had installed. CFM was showing at 600 for a 2.5 ton AC unit and from my readings and understanding should have been at least 50% higher towards 1000CFM. Since the Daikon one wouldn't let me adjust settings i ultimately said screw it and re-installed my nest thermostat and reseting the furnace dipswitches as per the manual and low and behold my AC is working fine now. Either Daikon one thermostat was not setup correctly in first install by JPS, and was not even reviewed nor was the airflow issue reviewed on site visit. I am very versed in mechanical and electrical systems and solved the issue but for anyone without a trade knowledge this would have possibly cost them over $1000 without resolution, and upwards of $3000-$5000 if a full unit was replaced- Which would not have solved the issue.

    Furnace Issue

    Called on Friday for an an issue with water in my furnace . They came first thing Monday morning and had it repaired in less than an hour. Great service and the technician Daniel was very knowledgeable and more than willing to answer all my questions.

    INSTALLATION OF AIR CONDITIONER

    We're very happy with the service we received from JPS. The quote we received was very thorough and passed our Condo Board approval quickly. The installers were great; answered all our questions and were wonderful with helping us program our thermostat and setting it up on our cell phone.
