    Angry customer

. Came to fix a leaky dishwasher, told it was the seals that are old. Had to order parts took two weeks, not the two days that they said and after finally fixing it, they said it was good now. Yeah right! The first time I used it it leaked in the same spot and when we called they said that the new part is now out of warranty but can send a technician out for $250 additionally to what I have been charged. Dont even think they are even qualified! Stay away from this company!

    Dishwasher repair

As reported by many others the service from this company was terrible. Unfortunately I didn't look up on BBB to see the dismal review. One receptionist was very rude, the dishwasher still has the same issue and sadly I had prepaid for a part replacement which was not necessary. Revisit and told I needed further parts replacement totaling $1400. I of course didn't proceed with further service.

    Dishwasher repair

Called them to fix a 3 yr old DW...website said $80 for service call...that just gets them to the front door....the problem was a faulty door switch but the tech said he worked on other parts of the door and wanted to charge me $245 and it still needed a new door switch which would cost almost $400...I found the switch online for $128....now they threaten to send my account on collection....wish I read reviews before calling them...

The A Team Appliance Repair Review

I am absolutely disgusted with the service from this company. They charged me $1,375 and ensured us our fridge would be in proper working order. Ultimately the fridge was not repaired to complete working order. Their technician informed us we needed an additional heater that would cost another $480+ dollars that was not covered under warranty. This company was not truthful and for the amount of money we spent we could have purchased a new fridge. NEVER USE THIS COMPANY. #DISREPUTABLE

Misdiagnosis on a problem with our fridge

The whole thing start on April 5th when a technician from Appliance Repair Team was sent to examine my fridge and determine the problem. He was here for a total of 5 minutes, said that he could tell right away it was a faulty coil, and proceeded to issue an invoice for a new part. I was charged 706.48 that day. A week or so later the part arrived and he returned to install it. The fridge continued to experience the same problems after two weeks. As such, I called back to ask for assistance again. The agent told me that I was still under a 30-day warranty for service so sent another technician to inspect the issue again. He did so on April 30th and said that the first technician misdiagnosed the problem and that its likely a faulty motor. The second technician took the time to take apart the fan and ran some more detailed tests. He said that if the problem comes back we may need a new motor and/or fan. Now that the problem has returned were likely forced to just purchase a new fridge as the costs of the first and second diagnosis well exceeds the costs of a new fridge.

The worst company ever. Won't suggest even to my enemy.

Similar to the other reviews here, the tech got there after I was told it would be 80 to diagnose, he says I can fix it, pay first. I confirm that he can fix the issue and he assures me he can. Ok, so I pay. He calls me 10 mins later and says it will be $710 more because the motor is broken. I said no, that's ridiculous, how did you not see this before, you misdiagnosed the issue. He says no I didn't misdiagnose. I called the company for a refund since no labour was completed and they tell me the 80 is to show up not do anything else. 290+tax(320) is for actually trying to diagnose the issue - the eff. That's not what the tech told me nor what they told me when I asked how much the service is. They then tell me I signed the invoice when they never sent me anything. They had someone else sign and are holding me accountable? That's as if I go into a coffee shop and they charge me the cost of the drink and then give me nothing because that was the cost to order and the person behind me said it was good to charge me. When I tried to talk to them they started raising their voice and I had to raise mine to be heard. Don't EVER EVER go to this place. HomeStars didn't show up for the reviews and I should have listened to my gut and never paid before the work was done.

Needing to Escalate to Small Claims Court

I will spare the details of the first leg of the story as it resembles a similar thread as the rest of these glaring reviews - I paid for their services and got screwed by an incorrect diagnosis but the real issue comes from them (The Appliance Repair Team) holding my money for 2 months now. I was told that I needed to order a motor control kit for $907.64. I paid them with two weeks going by saying the part was on "backorder." After a month of waiting, I requested a refund as I had lost faith in their ability to acquire the part and perform the service. They docked me a 15% fee (even though I never received the part) for a total refund of $743.47. It has now been two months with regular phone calls to their business requesting my money. Their response is that they are waiting on a manager to "sign-off" on the refund. If it is not clear from the previous reviews - stay away. I am currently pursuing legal action and will check back here with updates. Also, if you're wondering - I had the washer fixed by another company in under two weeks. The part The Appliance Repair Team quoted was completely incorrect.

    Terrible

had a terrible time with this company. They came in For my dishwasher That was leaking on the ground. Told my husband it was the Seal around the motor. Nothing else. Or no possibility of anything else. I talked to them and they said they would service it. 327 total. To me that sounds like you fixed it. He tells us not to use it for twenty four hours. Since the ceilant needs to dry. After twenty six hours I use my dishwasher. Only For it to be leaking even worse all over my Hardwood floor. I call the company to complain. They are not listening to what I am saying. I call back again and they put me on hold for thirty minutes. I hung up and called again. I told them how I paid all of this money For them to service it Only for it not to be fixed. There was no communication that it could be one of many problems. They serviced it... Put some Sealent Down... And left. What I was trying to explain To them is What a professional should do is come in And give their professional opinion on what the problem could be And Leave it up to the customer to decide whether or not they should proceed. If this person came in and told me it could be this or this... That would affect my decision on how much work he would do. It costs ninety dollars for them to come in. If We decide to service it they take that ninety off. So you're telling me Whatever they did was 360? After twenty six hours of waiting I turned it on and it was leaking everywhere. It was actually worse. Had this man have walked in the store Took a look at the issues Without actually servicing it And Gave us his professional opinion That it could be A few minor issues or The pump (Which all he did was right down under parts pump and motor 498 plus tax Without discussing that it could possibly be the pump.) I would have told him to stop working I would pay you for your time of ninety dollars. And then I would buy a new dishwasher and have them come back in and install it. Instead i'm out three hundred and twenty seven dollars... And have to purchase a new dishwasher And have that installed. What they were not listening to me about was the fact that them just doing whatever they did Without discussing the possibility of a more expensive Problem First Would have been the ideal and more professional way of approaching this. They can't expect the customer to look at the invoice and understand that the word pump and the price under the word part In 24 hours, this problem could not be fixed. And at this point we need to order this part and have it installed. If anything they should have written that sentence. But Ideally that should have been discussed first. I have never ever in eleven years of owning a home Had a service person come in and approach it like this. After the Third phone call when I called back after being On hold for 30 minutes. This lady one hundred percent agreed with me but all she could offer was a discount off the part. I obviously told her this company is one hundred percent not making any more money off of me. Or coming anywhere near my home ever again. Over the weekend I decided I'll call back and talk to a supervisor On monday. I spoke to her And she just kept repeating The same thing. But she wasn't listening to my concerns about how it was approached. No communication. I kept telling her that if there was communication I would have sent the man away after paying for him to walk in the door. I would not have wanted to pay 327 for doing nothing And 500 plus tax for the motor. That's the price of a new dishwasher. That's ridiculous. She kept offering The same thing the other lady said which was a discount on the part. I said that's not good enough. Their policy needs to change in the way that they do their business needs to change. I said is there someone else I can talk to another manager or an owner. No she said. The owners don't come to the phone. I said well maybe the owners will come to the phone when they realize that word of mouth is very important For a business. She basically said.I can go ahead and write whatever I want Online Told me to have a good day and hung up. I have never ever Dealt with a company that did not want to do right with their customers. I am a very fair person. And I am one hundred percent willing to pay further time Of walking in this door. But the right thing to do would have been to discuss the problems with us before Doing something that made possibly fix it or possibly not. I am very disappointed With this company.

    Con artist's

They came in March and told us Labour and parts was approximately $900 to fix our stove . The returned about a week or two later and did the supposed repair . That night we tried to boil water and the stove would not boil anything. They returned for attempt #2 and told us the stove needed another part and would be at no additional charge. A month goes by and we get no calls so I called and they said we're still waiting on your part . I called today and they tell me we denied the part and no one is coming to fix anything. We had a reputable alliance company come and look at the stove and they told us it's not repairable and the parts are not available. Theese guys took and extorted us out of $900 knowing this stove could not be fix . We are now in the process of suing them . We have all documents including the one from the reputable company .
