    Electrical upgrade

I have a 1967 home that needed all outlets, switches replaced inside and out, including a new outlet for a garage door opener to plug into, required GFI's for code, cable jacks relocated, allot of old florescent lights taken down and a new basement bathroom fan installed. Pros: Rob came out for the quote, he eased my worries about cost when he indicated my electrical panel and wire were fine and that the plug/switch/GFI replacement was all I needed to upgrade (on a set quote) and the rest they did on hourly rates. Crew of two showed up on the days they said they were coming (called first which was a good thing) and the work was completed within two set appointments. Cons: They do not drill through concrete for the basement bathroom fan exhaust line but I was told this in advance (to be fair). At least the fan is up, wired and I can finish the job when it warms up (I would have appreciated them leaving me the box and instructions that came with the fan because I'm going to have to download them when I try to hook it up on my own). Also they left all the fluorescent and ballasts for me to haul away. I only have a car, some of that stuff was 10ft long and it took a couple trips. I should have indicated in the quote I wanted it hauled away I guess? Regardless, little things do make a difference but Rob and his crew did a great job from start to finish. Honest quotes, timely and professional work that fit within reasonable timelines deserves a good review. I would call again for any further work. Thanks!

    Answer from pro:

I apologize Tom that the lighting was not taken away. Normally home owners want to retain things like that for their garages, or garage sales. If I can make it up to you please call. I will speak to my guys about their actions. Rob Swyrd

    Electrical Panel Upgrade

I was very impressed with the level of professional service work done to upgrade the electrical service in my 1960 house. Last minute changes had to made in order for everything to comply with code, new plans were made and materials supplied and the whole job was done in about 5 hours on a blizzard y day. And the original estimate did not change, as I thought it might be higher because of the changes and extra materials. The 2 man team really knew what they were doing and got the job done quickly and everything very neat and tidy. Thanks Rob, I would highly recommend you and your services to anyone. Murray Schneider

    Answer from pro:

I have never in my 35 years, Ok maybe once, charged more than my quote for a project. If code requirements mean that more work needs be done and it was an over site on my part, you will never be charged extra. I promise

    Panel Change

I phoned Robert on a thursday and friday Robert came out and gave me a quote. Quote was prompt. The Days that Robart came the electricians we on time and very courteous and proffessional. Work completed was good and Robert's son was very good at explaining what they had done. I would use them again for a job like this. I was going to give Robart a 9 rating for the only reason of the price being high but I guess you get what you pay for though and I gave a 10. Good experience overall

    Answer from pro:

I'm glad you were happy with the job Darren. And as for the price being to high, in any trade, retail store, car lot or street vender, you can always find someone who is cheaper, but what are you getting makes a difference for sure. I pride myself on giving top notch professional service and workmanship for the fairest price. That is my policy

    Electrical Panel Upgrade

We have a 1960 built house and the original electrical service was a 100 AMP service into a 100 amp panel and a 12 breaker sub panel with 4 circuits doubled up. Plus the mast was below the eaves, and new code requires it to be above the roof line. We got estimates from a couple of Electricians, with the cost anywhere from $1500 to just below $6000. We went with Robart Electrical, due to the large number of positive reviews Robart had, the time he took to assess the code requirement changes, and the detailed estimate he provided. We knew exactly what we were going to get, that it was going to take all day, and that Robart Electrical was going to coordinate with Epcor (for power cut off, meter upgrade, and power reconnect). Great, professional job by Robart Electrical.

    Upgrade to 100amp service

I have an older home that required a service upgrade from our 60amp to 100amp service. I received quotes from more than 6 other electrical company's ranging from small to very large, each company was giving me a different story on what needed to be done and the cost's ranged from $1800 to over $6000 dollars. one company quoted me over the phone a did not even come and see my place. Then i found this site were i was able to read reviews and compare, Robart Electrical stood out from the rest. I contacted Rob and he was at my place in less then a hour to give me a quote. I was very impressed with the knowledge and the planning that went into my upgrade, everything was covered and the price quoted was final no surprises. The day of the work the two electricians were polite and the work was done in a timely fashion, everything was done with care as my house is old and required some modifying. In the end everything looks great, it was clean and had no problems with the inspection. Thank you Robart Electrical

    Answer from pro:

That's a wonderful review, thanks Terry. I'm pretty proud of my guys. This year we will do well over 100 service upgrades so they have a great system in place. Rob

    permit/service power box

Contacted Robart for my parents, due to an issue with EPCOR, and was immediately assisted, booked appt and received all required documents. Very accommodating whether it was speaking via email / telephone. Thank you for all your help we will surely be in touch if your services are ever required in the future.

    Answer from pro:

Thank you for the review Ellie. Epcor is finding lots of illegal and unsafe service upgrades done by apparent electricians. I'm glad yours was a simple fix. Have a great day Rob

    Electrical Upgrade

From the initial meeting for an estimate, Robart Electrical exceeded expectations. Rob carried out our estimate by giving exact details in layperson terms in order for understanding of what would occur for our electrical upgrade and why it would occur this way. Chris and Kyle were courteous, friendly and hardworking during the upgrade. We also were given a follow-up asking if everything worked out, whether we were needing anything else, as well as provided us with a thoughtful thank you for our business. I will no doubt be recommending this company to others, for their quality, professionalism, as well as care for the customer.

    Answer from pro:

Thank you Michelle. Our hope is always to exceed the expectations of our customer s with service, professionalism, performance and follow up. Thank you for noticing. Rob

    Kitchen Reno - Electrical

While doing kitchen renovation we came across electrical wires that needed to be moved. Although Rob could not get a team out to us right away, he was in contact with us until Chris & Kyle could come which was a few days sooner than originally conveyed. Chris & Kyle worked quickly to move the electrical, upgrade breakers and add 3 new plug-ins. Very satisfied with the company, the work and staff. Excellent customer service and very pleasant team. The cost was less than anticipated, too. Thank you Rob.

    Answer from pro:

Thank you for the kind words Lori. I'm glad you were satisfied with the schedule and the work. Rob
