I called Rick in the morning about 9:00am and told him what happened with my fridge (died after a brownout the night before), he asked me to send the model of the fridge and address and told me the cost of the visit to check right away, he showed up about 2 hours after, checked the fridge and determined it was the main board which he had brought with him in a new sealed box, replaced and voila fridge working again. All good and did not even have to throw anything out from the fridge, great service and quick, Rick is a very nice person too. Fully recommend it.

We've used Rick a number of times in the past; once for our refrigerator and a few trips to see what was up with our A/C unit. So when my wife noticed a discernible lack of cool air during the hottest week of the summer, we knew something was up. We called Rick and sent out his son Ravi who called before he was going to arrive (a service I love so we know when they are coming*). Ravi went to work quickly and saw the compressor wasn't functioning and replaced it. With the compressor working and the A/C running, Ravi soon realized the unit was out of freon (the unit is about 20 years old). Rick had suggested previously we might have an older unit and supplied Ravi with the appropriate freon. After filling unit up, he turned it back on but there was another problem: something was up with the coil. Seeing that this was going to cost close to what a new unit would cost, Ravi gave us options and we decided to stop trying to fix and start trying to find something new. To help with the costs (which were closer to $500) Ravi took back the new compressor and drained the freon and charged us a third of what it should have costed! Plus, he offered the services of his brother who runs an A/C and HVAC installation business. Thank you SO much Rick and Ravi for looking out for the average home owner! Your calm, cool demeanor and attention to detail make you a pleasure to work with!

Rick delivered and hooked up my fridge and gas stove. I would definitely recommend him to my family. Excellent customer service.

Our Maytag dryer suddenly began making a squealing noise when in use. Quickly checked home stars and saw Rick Appliance Repair is highly rated. Made an appointment with Rick to diagnose the issue and was told that the cost of the diagnose would be waived if they were given the job to make the repairs. Rick arrived promptly, had the dryer dissembled and diagnosed in 15 minutes. Replaced the pully, cleaned the interior, oiled the rollers and put everything back together within an hour. The dryer is running like new and they waived the diagnostic fee as promised. They were pleasant and very helpful in explaining the issue and how to minimize the chances of reoccurance in the future. I have nothing but high praise they saved me the cost of buying a new dryer

My dishwasher wasn't getting hot anymore and I knew the heating element was dead or maybe it needed a new controller. I emailed Rick and he consistently responded to my emails with 1-2 hours. Easily booked an appoint and he gave me his opinion of my situation with several options to resolve. I would easily recommend Rick and book with him again.

The fridge was too warm. Rick set up a time for the service call, and phoned when he was on his way. He quickly discovered the problem with the fridge, fixed it, and it’s been working perfectly ever since then. Rick’s Appliance has also repaired our stove and our washer. I would definitely call him again, and would recommend him to friends.

We chose Rick Appliance Repair on the basis of recent favourable reviews on HomeStars. I booked an appointment on line on Sunday evening and received a response in a short time frame. Rick was able to accommodate us late Monday and we were kept apprised of his expected ETA. He let us know beforehand his charge for a service call. After an inspection of the appliance and after a diagnostic test, he was able to determine the prime cause of the failure and that thankfully turned out to be the single point of failure. He gave us some tips on how to prevent a recurrence and even inspected the outside vent to check for air flow. He left the house with the machine operating normally again and with two very satisfied customers. We would definitely use his services again should any of our other appliances fail.

Had a problem with our fridge and having a toddler in the home, we were in desperate need for service. Called Rick and he came the same day. He also had the parts to do the job right there on the spot. Would definitely recommend him to my friends and family.

Ravi was prompt and on time. Identified the problem and fixed right away for a reasonable price. Great service. Same day. Was easier than filling out this review. Would recommend them and will call again
