    CertaPro Made our Townhouse Shine

    CertaPro has completely painted the interior of three houses for us over the past eight years and done excellent work every time. The most recent job (Feb 2024) was quite challenging. Destructive tenants had severely damaged the walls, ceilings, and doors in the newly constructed townhouse we had leased to them. The tenants had sloppily painted the walls dark grey and left hundreds of holes and cracks. We called CertaPro and Dip (the newish owner) came and assessed the sordid situation. He assigned Brad the job. We had thought that Brad would come in after the general contractor had finished, but Brad took the initiative to begin patching and sanding while the general contractor was still there fixing the place up. They got along well together, and Brad was able to stay out of the way while still making significant progress. He was able to get the surface prep and first coat on before the floor refinisher and carpet layers came in. He then put on the final coat after them. It ended up taking up many more hours of Brads time (he even came in on weekends to keep the project on schedule) than estimated, but CertPro honored their fixed price contract. We appreciated the tremendous effort and obvious pride put into this challenging paint job. The result made the house look better than when it was new. We highly recommend them.

    Main floor, stairwell, crown moulding and baseboard painting

    Used Certapro to paint my main floor, kitchen and upstairs stairwell. The consultation with Dip was informative, professional and courteous. Our painter Brad did an absolutely awesome job. He was efficient and extremely meticulous and kept the work very clean. He completed the entire job from ceilings, crown moulding, walls right down to the baseboards in only three days. It was an absolute pleasure to have them work in my house. I would highly recommend Certapro to anyone needing painting done. Thank you Dip and Certapro

    Indoor painting

    The painting job was well done, at a very reasonable cost, and the painters took safety measures during the pandemic to stay safe and protect us as well. I would definitely hire them again!

    House refresh

    Man were we lucky! found Certa Pro in the list or CAA partners and never regretted our decision. David is a very thorough and helpful; he provided us we a very detailed description of the work to be done and cost (very reasonable compared to another estimate). Brad and Johnny did a fabulous job repainting the whole house, even re-staining 4 bi-fold wardrobe doors. Cleaned-up after work and left us very happy costumers. We DO recommend CertaPro painters!!!!

    Complete Condo Repaint

    From the original quote (done by David) to the actual paint job (done by Simon) the service was excellent and I couldn't be happier. My condo is just over 600 sqft and there are a lot of nooks and crannies because of the bulkheads and air ducts. There are also 5 hanging/sliding doors that are each 4 ft x 9 ft that I had painted. The paint job took 3 days for 1 person. I had two red accent walls that I wanted painted with a Charcoal Grey that matched the custom kitchen island I had put in last year and Simon took care of making sure the paint matched perfectly. I also had the sliding doors painted Charcoal Grey and all of it looks fantastic. Simon's work is second to none. I couldn't paint the side of a barn without messing it up and it was awesome to watch Simon work and be able to freehand around almost everything without getting paint on anything else. Just amazing.!

    Ceiling Stipple Removal - Promise Kept!

    CertaPro Ottawa provided me with dedicated, reliable service for this extensive job in the two weeks prior to Christmas. The team (Julio and Rolando) were very polite, respectful, and paid attention to detail. The same crew completed my job, end to end before Christmas as promised, and I felt comfortable with them being in my home even during the pandemic. I highly recommend CertaPro Ottawa as a result.

    Complete Interior Repaint

    Certapro is AWESOME. Their customer service is spectacular and their commitment to customer satisfaction is amazing. I had picked out a Benjamin Moore colour for the complete first floor of my home and, unfortunately, the company they bought their paint from matched it incorrectly, and this wasn’t obvious until the whole floor was complete. Certapro stood by their service and did a COMPLETE repaint!! They also sent one of their top painters (Emil) to make sure the job was done to a very high quality. I was so appreciative of their above-and-beyond fix I hired them again 6 months later to paint my exterior. One recommendation if you are particular (which I am): ask to have one of their full-Time painters do you work and not a subcontractor. Their permanent staff are AMAZING.

    Disaster

    The worst paint job ever encountered. From the first contact of the sales person (who was later fired) to the incredibly shoddy workmanship of the painters, this project was doomed for failure. There seems to be a revolving door on the staff here, as there was not a single person to contact that could be relied on. There were no "expert professionals" (as stated in their advertising material) who ever visited this site. Zero continuity in staff, zero communication, and painters who had never held a roller before. The over-application of semi-transparent stain resulted in high gloss and sticky surfaces even after three weeks. We called an end to the project before completion. We saw that the door handles, hinges and address numbers had been painted over, and sloppy splashes on eavestroughes and soffits so we decided to not allow any more damage to our home. The final straw was when the manager arrived with the wrong stain to finish the job . Incredible! Talking with the office didn't give any satisfaction. The new franchise owner offered to make reparations by removing the stain, but with all the dismal failures to date we decided to cut our losses and stop the project. We did not feel confident that the removal process would be conducted in a proper manner, especially when the franchise owner suggested they cut corners and proceed in a manner totally contradictory to the procedure indicated by the Sherwin Williams protocol. What professional does this? Five years ago we had used Certapro, but that was when they were under a different franchise owner. This owner seems to prefer to operate his painting business from behind a desk rather than going to visit his customers and assess the situation in person. I will NEVER use this company again.

    Living room

    Loved the Workmanship. Crew was great and they cleaned everything up. Best thing I did was hiring Certapro to do this work. I am planning my next project for them to do. Highly recommended them to my friends.
