Let me start off by advising the readers here that I evaluated 6 different companies prior to selecting Reliable Home Environment. They topped the list on a number of items that in our opinion were of value, and in my scoring system rated 87%. The runner up rating at 68%. In dealing with Greg Laidlaw, we had some back and forth on a few items regarding the quote. Some items which I did not understand, some items which Greg was able to adjust according to our requirements. The process was smooth and Greg made me feel confident in my decision to use Reliable. He was a big part in the decision process for us and can assure you that he is the person you want to come in to your home for your assessment. He values your assets and ensures you receive information on systems that directly correlate to the size of your home. The Guys...! The day of install...I was told the guys would be here between 7 and 8 AM, on Good Friday! Great that they were able to show up on a day off for me, and it did not cost me any more than the quote that I was provided. Three technicians showed up in the morning at 7 AM sharp. Jeremy, who appeared to be the team lead, or foreman... Very knowledgeable in his field and has an excellent ability to explain the system to you. His professionalism and respect for your home are far beyond I have seen in my experience. Taylor, a soft spoken, respectable, an knowledgeable person. He was the first of the three to show up and did a quick walk through with me in the morning to briefly explain the gist of things that would happen throughout the day. Jordan, the A/C guy! He worked outside most of the day, and luckily for him it was about 14C outside. He was also the one to provide instructions on the iComfort Thermostat, in which he is quite proficient in. A young man with plenty of enthusiasm, and expertise in his installation of the A/C unit and the operations of the system overall. Installation.... Now that you've heard the about the guys, let me tell you what Jeremy, Taylor, and Jordan provided. My old furnace, approximately 30 years old, was removed cleanly. Without using ridiculous force, the old system was carefully disconnected and removed from the house. Yes, they take all of your old equipment away! The ensured that your floors were covered accordingly to protect your carpet, or hardwood. I could not have asked for more in the level of care and detail that Jeremy and Taylor provided in the installation of the furnace. I checked in every 10 to 15 minutes, hovering for 30 minutes or so each visit to the basement...each time I got a detailed overview of what had been done, how it works, why it's installed that way, and what was coming next. The level of service was impeccable and educational as a new home owner. Everything, and I mean every single detail was looked after in the way that I would take care of my own home. The old A/C unit was removed in the same fashion and loaded in their truck for removal. They replaced the entire A/C wiring and fuse box to the panel to ensure adequate Amp coverage was provided for the new A/C. All the old piping was also replaced. The new lines for the A/C were installed 10 times better than the old ones were. Clean, contouring the joists and venting system it had to follow, tied to the joists every foot and a half or so. The external part of the A/C was mounted on brackets to the house instead of the traditional stone slab. Elevating it off of the ground provides better drainage of any water accumulated by rain, or spring melt. Jordan was exceptional in ensuring the unit was installed and functional as it was intended to be. Overall... As a new home owner, and very critical of anyone doing anything in side my home, I could not have wished for a better crew to come in and install this system for us. Jeremy, Taylor, and Jordan are excellent in their field. Their level of attention to detail and care of your home is truly exceptional. If you are looking for a new furnace, or A/C, or anything else they offer, I cannot imagine you to be disappointed after these guys are done. They cleaned up everything .. and including vacuuming my hallway ... to sweeping the basement. It was as if they were never there! The difference being a fantastically installed new furnace and A/C. Don't hesitate to engage Reliable for your Home Environment needs. Greg and his team will look after you and ensure you will be satisfied. If I could, I would personally guarantee it! You will not find a better place!

Our old furnace was starting to fail in the coldest part of the year so we started to get some quotes to have it replaced. Greg from Reliable was certainly the most knowledgeable and honest representative from any company we talked to and was a big part of the reason we went with them. When we finally decided to go ahead and get the furnace installed I called Greg at about 4pm and the furnace was installed and working by about 2pm on the next day, very impressive. The installers were polite, professional and very efficient, which was an added bonus because it was about -30C the day they did the install. As for the furnace it's self it is quiet and does an amazing job of heating the house consistently. In the end it was an easy process with very pleasant people done extremely efficiently. I really can't see how you could do any better then the service I got from Reliable, it was absolutely top notch.

My wife and I wanted to buy a new furnace and AC. Greg from Reliable Home came over and explained everything to us in a very professional manner. He was very polite/friendly and did not hesitate to answer all of our questions. Was in a bit of a bind as my old furnace had finally given out. Found Reliable online and gave them a call. The salesman, Jim, was out to my house within an hour and brought along some electric heaters to help tide us over. He walked me through the prices and options of the new furnaces and not once during his time in my home did I feel pressured. I was given a time for when the install crew would be by and they showed right when they said they would. The installation crew, Jeremy, Taylor, and Jordan could not have been more professional or courteous. They went above and beyond any and all expectations. They were quick, clean, and more than helpful in explaining the new furnace. I will only recommend Reliable from this point on. And they will be the only company I call when I need service from now on.

Fantastic service from start to finish. The entire process from sales to installation was great. We have also used Reliable for maintenance services. They have always been on time, and extremely pleasant to deal with. Can't recommend them enough. This is a great company.

I can't say enough good things about Reliable. Very professional service from picking the right furnace to installation. Greg Laidlaw and Jeremy Lachaine were absolute gems in picking and replacing our new furnace. From a sales perspective, Greg recommended what was the right fit for our preferences and I can say now 4 days later, it is the perfect model. He was pleasant and recommended what we needed. From an installation perspective, Jeremy and team were excellent. The installation was painless. In reviewing the installation you can see the extra touches and attention to detail. (My water heater is from Reliance and the furnace is from Reliance and they are side by side). You can clearly see the attention to detail in the installation by Reliable. If I need anything else in the future, I won't even consider another option other than Reliable.

I appreciated the professional and quality service that Jordan Boot provided. He not only solved the problem with the water build-up in the furnace, but he took a few extra minutes to ensure that everything was in top shape and even provided some helpful tips for ongoing maintenance and filter use. Great Customer Service!

In Ottawa: Yesterday I had my wood burning fireplace converted with a gas insert. In less than a week! Jim had visited and impressed me with his manner and expertise. Next he brought in Jeremy to consult whether or not it could be done as my existing space was small and I did not want the wall damaged. Jeremy is a wonder boy with talent, personality and high work ethic. He and Jason and Taylor worked all day and left me with a beautiful product. John, the company owner has spent over half an houur on the phone just now answering some queries of mine. I had no personal knowledge of this company previously, having found them on Google. Unbelievable to actually find people dedicated to doing their best and delivering a top notch product with personal follow up.

Reliable Home Environment has been extremely helpful throughout the purchase and installation of my new furnace, all of which was done in a timely and professional manner. Where they have excelled however is in the aftercare. I have had two incidents, one of which had nothing to do with the furnace installation or additional work that they had done. When I called them, there was no question about whether the fault was with them or the gas company, but rather how quickly they could have someone out to get things back up and running. In approximately 45 minutes someone was at my door and the problem was solved in 15 minutes. Based on their strong customer support throughout in all of my dealings with them, I would strongly recommend them to anyone looking for a new furnace or maintenance support.
