Although David & his Landmark Roofing Co. came to our attention via a glowing referral from a close friend, we did vet 5 companies in choosing. David had a common sense approach that appealed and made it easy to understand in layman's terms. Our project included replacing our roof tiles, repair of our hidden gutters, all supporting flashing, several large pieces of fascia and 3 skylights. Researching him only served to further reinforce he was the correct choice. I am a retired Red Seal Tradesman and Merchant of 32 years, my Wife a Paralegal these past 4 decades. Cheers

David took the time to answer all my questions and provided detailed explanations. The crew performed high quality work and cleaned up at the end of the project. Landmark re-shingled our home and we are very pleased with the professionalism, expertise, level of service and quality of workmanship David and his crew provided. David helped us with issues typical of a 70 year old home. The original attic ventilation was inadequate and did not vent properly. He provided an updated proper ventilation design that now provides more than sufficient ventilation. The chimney above the roof line was in poor condition. David looked after removing it to below the roofline and getting a chimney liner and vent stack installed. Our facia boards were also in poor condition so he replaced those as well. It was certainly appreciated and a benefit to us to have one company look after all these items when doing the shingle replacement. Landmark also addressed concerns we had about the project. One being our concrete driveway is just thin concrete and not capable of supporting large loads. So David insured that the delivery truck for the shingle and plywood was capable of loading supplies onto the roof from the road to avoid any chance of damaging the driveway. Another concern was the roof rafters are just 2x4 construction and similarly not capable of supporting large concentrated loads . So he did multiple material loading locations on the roof above support walls to avoid any damage to the framing. It was a relief to have these types of concerns looked after properly. Finally the roofing crew did an excellent job. They were courteous, hardworking, left the site clean and roof watertight after each workday. I did a good inspection of the roof after completion and everything just looks right. There was no sign of anything done poorly or cheaply etc. It is top quality workmanship. I believe one of the reasons for this is, unlike may roofing companies which sub-contract some of the work, Landmark employs it own people to do the work. Re-roofing is a big home maintenance expense so you want to ensure it is done correctly. David and his crew at Landmark will provide you with a top quality job. They came highly recommended and I certainly highly recommend them as well.

We had invited a few contractors to look at our roof, answer our questions and give us a price. Out of about a dozen or so candidates, Landmark really stood out with their attentiveness during our first visit and the detailed quote they provided. Their price is also very competitive given the level of quality and service they provide. David is an absolute gem of person, and very knowledgeable in his trade. He took the time to answer all our questions and outline the process exactly as it went down on the day of the install. The crew was professional and courteous, and they got the job done very efficiently and to a tee. We are grateful for the service and support we received from Landmark Roofing with getting our new roof installed. And will certainly recommend them to anyone who is in need of a roofing contractor. Shortly after New Years, our existing cedar shake roof started to show signs of wear which resulted in some interior leaking. Weatherwise, this was the worst time to put on a new roof but once it was tarped, we started the process to look for a roofing company. Landmark Roofing was one of seven or eight companies contacted and only one of three that actually got back which already put them above average. The process that Landmark went through to both understand our specific situation as well as to come up with a solution that addressed our needs was clearly above the rest of the field. Here are some of the factors that differentiated them from other companies: 1) They paid a site visit and not just looked at satellite images of our property. 2) They brought samples of shingles for us to look at. 3) They provided multiple options so that we can choose from a variety of different shingle lines. 4) They were prepared to explain individual details about aspects of our roofing that was unique and the solutions that seemed to make the most sense. 5) They were prepared to explain details about the shingle manufacturer and why they felt that this was the best choice. 6) They made a separate trip back with different colour samples so that we could see which one looked best. 7) They explained the safety procedures that they would take during installation including protocols around Covid-19. 8) Their proposal included information related to warranty but also to liability insurance. 9) Communication was clear, thorough, prompt and effective. Missed calls were returned immediately (i.e. within minutes if not seconds)! 10) The disposal bin was placed on wood blocks so that it wouldn't make a dent in the driveway. 11) The installation was smooth, quick but efficient. The site foreman would provide a summary at the end of the day to let me know what was done and what remained. He also let me know that the site was cleaned at day's end including sweeping of the driveway to prevent tire punctures. 12) What was promised was what was delivered including the time that it would take and the costs. Everything was transparent. 13) The crew was willing to help me understand if I had questions and they provided me opportunities to inspect the inside of the roof (I was thinking of upgrading some pot lights). 14) During the installation, I was able to observe many implimentations of safety including ropes harnesses and other safety equipment. 15) It felt like the entire crew worked really well together. There was a sense of collegiality that you don't see very often. 16) With reference to the above point, it wasn't just two guys working on the roof. They had many installers working together at the same time which in my mind, led to increased efficiency but safety as well. I'm sure there are many more reasons why I had such a positive experience with this company. I went with them initially because of their rating on Homestars and on the Better Business Bureau and now I can see why they rate so high.

Amazing team of installers, fast, professional and very friendly. Great product and service, reasonable price! In addition to the roof conversion, they also replaced a tiny roof above my wood pile - free of charge! Thank you David and Rob for my new roof - looks amazing. Contacted David for roof replacement due to leaking. David is very nice and professional and get the quote right away. The work is scheduled within a week depending on weather and the actual work is done in one day. New roof looks good.

Finding a qualified roofing company is a stressful undertaking for a homeowner and I am so happy to recommend David and the Landmark team. My project was completed on time, clean up was done daily, the product is as outstanding as advertised, and the workmanship and camaraderie shown by this roofing team really put me at ease that I had made the right choice. Needed to replace skylight! David quoted on the job at first contact and then had the job done in a timely manor. Had to add flashing to the job which added a little to original quote and confident in the work preformed. Would definitely hire Landmark Roofing in the future and would recommend. Landmark roofing redid my roof and build in gutters. The owner is great to work with, so helpful. His employees were all friendly and did a great job cleaning up after every day. My roof was done in two days, very fast and efficient. If your looking to get your roof done look no further, landmark is one of the best.
