    Chrome bathroom

    I had numerous run ins with these people - just trying to get what I paid for! Horrendous people to deal with!! Do NOT shop at York Taps! I purchased a vanity, a marble backsplash - which I was talked into buying, a shower faucet kit and a stand alone tub faucet kit. The shower's handheld device was flawed so I was told on the phone to send it back & they would send me a replacement- the replacement never came! They promised - at the time of purchase - chrome handles for my vanity ... Everything in my bathroom is chrome. The legs on the vanity are Chrome anyway and they show the vanity in the showroom as having Chrome knobs so why would I think that I would have to worry about whether or not I get chrome knobs(?) but they weren't - they were brushed nickel. They tried to give me 7 new knobs & 4 used ones when my daughter tried to return them for me - she told the owner/ manager that I needed all new knobs for my new vanity & he laughed at her - what kind of behaviour is that? In the end they said they would send the new ones to me but they also said they would send me the replacement for my handheld shower device. They also sent with my daughter the wrong replacement handheld device. The owner/manager yelled at my daughter & so did the sales rep. It should NOT be so difficult to get what you paid for from them!!! ... That's all any good paying customer wants ... What they were promised & what they paid for! I strongly advise anyone against purchasing from this place!

    Service is horrible. Promises for simple things that they do not deliver.

    Simple enough. I ordered two shower stalls that I thought were a great price. After delivery realized there were no installation instructions. Called at least a dozen times over three months. Always promised the specs. Never happened. The great price is not worth it, obviously. I was also doing three other bathrooms (showers, vanities, etc.). I will pay more never to have to deal with a company like this. Simply not worth the discount.

    Worst service and quality EVER

    I've never dealt with a company who was so unaccountable, provided worse service and washed their hands of their own incompetence like York Taps. Pay more and go anywhere else. Anywhere.

    Royal Square Freestanding Tub Filler

    This company has poor customer service. They sell fixtures in European sizes without adapter to Canadian standards. Saying that you can buy it at plumbing stores. However finding these fitting adapters is very difficult.

    Washroom renovation

    I contacted York taps about a vanity for My washroom. I was invited into the showroom where I found a beautiful display of vanities, taps and bathtubs. The service was outstanding, they even gave me a price discount. I was so happy I came back to purchase new taps for the rest of the house along with washroom hardware for towels. Couldn't ask for more!!

    Bathroom Reno

    Horrendous experience. The shower system I had fully paid for was sold to another person. The vanity and the tub were out of stock at pick up. Took 2 weeks and numerous complaints to get refund. Pair of vanity faucets arrived in different finishing. Pop up drain was the wrong type and did not fit sink. Unprofessional service. AVOID.

    Basement shower unit 36"

    Horrible customer service from the first call. Checking inventory, nothing in stock in both location("call back in 2 weeks). I called the other location. They said its in stock. Went to pick up, completely destroyed boxed, but assured me all inside. Sent 2 emails to both stores, stating that box completely damaged and assure me that all shower unit parts are in place.. NO ONE GOT BACK TO ME.. completely ignored. shower unit was installed had to get some small hardware elsewhere to make it work. The drain plumbing of this unit is not standard size.. so the water wont drain properly now.. the whole unit needs to be removed with all tiles. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE>> prices are good but not worth the stress.

    Bathroom vanity

    Purchased a bathroom vanity a couple of months in advance of needing it. Staff directed us to call a few days beforehand so they could ensure it was ready to be picked up. I called a week in advance and my husband drive from whitby to Richmond Hill to pick it up. When he got there he was informed they didn't have it and didn't know if they could get it for us. They offered no solution and suggested only that we take it in white instead or take a different one they had in stock. They were not at all concerned about our experience and seemed annoyed when my husband suggested they ship it to us at no cost when they located it. In the end we agreed to buy a different vanity that was cheaper and after much complaint they provided us with a "free" mirror. Since having the vanity and mirror home Ive noticed both have already started to chip. Wish I had read these reviews ahead of time as it is clear that once they have your money they could care less about their customers.

    Vanity

    The products look nice but that is were the good experience ends. Wrong colour vanity in card board packaging. Return trip one to get right colour. Three return trips to pick up parts. Had to customize fitting to make it work. Felt like I was doing the company a favour giving them my money and time to make a basic purchase work. Lucky that I was able to make it work as I have since found out about the fine print through another unsatisfied customer if it is delivered you own it even if there is an issue. No refund.

    Chicago Stand Alone Bathtub

    Terrible Company!! In January of this year my wife bought a black Chicago 63" standalone bathtub from this company. It remained in the box for a few weeks until my plumber was ready to install it at which point he discovered that it leaked through the fiberglass around the overflow. When my wife called about returning it or having it repaired Michael at the store said that once you received an item from them there was no return policy whether it was defective or not. I called, explained the situation and Michael swore at me and hung up the phone. Two weeks later David who claims to be the store manager called and said he wanted me to be a happy customer and he would call be back with a solution-that was three weeks ago and he has never called back although he promised to. I will be suing to get my money back. My recommendation is do not do business with this company.!
