About a week ago, I noticed that my ceiling was starting to get water damage. Realizing (after ignoring the problem for a bit) that the toilet was right above where the damage was, called Drain 1 Plumbers to book an appointment. Was told that a plumber was finishing a job in the area and would be over right after. 30 minutes later, Olekisy arrived (off to a great start)
Oleksiy took two minutes to diagnose the problem (a gasket issue) and went right to work. He discovered that the wax on the gasket was melting due to the heated floors - the people who did the washroom a year and a half ago should have installed a rubber gasket (more on them later). What I appreciated is that Oleksiy didn't just tell me the issue - he showed me the issue.
Upon further inspection, he also saw that when the people who installed my new toilet did the work, they used the old flange rather than replacing it. The flange was warped, and so, Oleksiy had to replace that too. Before he even started work, he was upfront telling me how much the job would cost with tax (very appreciated).
1.5 hours later (and a replacement of the hose on top of everything), the toilet is working the way it always should have.
Oleksiy and Drain 1 will forever be my go to plumbers and I will recommend them to everyone. Efficient, upfront, honest, and amazing work.
