    Humidifier wasn't working

    Kevin from Hargrave just fixed our humidifier. He was professional, friendly and hardworking. The problem was under warranty so there was no cost.

    New Furnace

    We had a 23 year old furnace which needed to be replaced. We wanted to make our purchase with confidence so we reviewed over 5 quotes. We decided on Hargrave because they answered the phone at 7 am, the furnace and service they offered were competitively priced, they do their own work and clearly pride themselves on professional and personal customer service. All of these features are offered with an excellent warranty on parts and labour as well. Mostly, we were impressed by how well they communicated with not only us but with each other- a great and highly responsive team. The old furnace was removed (disappeared!) and the new one installed along with a humidifier and a new smart thermostat. Not speck of dust left behind! thank you very much We offer this 10/10 review with pleasure.

    Furnace maintenance

    Kevin was great. Really polite and took the time to do the job well. He cleaned our furnace and changed the filters in both the furnace and the humidifier. I would highly recommend them to anyone!

    Replacement of Water Tank and Furnace

    I decided to go with Hargrave because of so many positive reviews here, but now I feel trapped and helpless. I just got the water tank and furnace installed today and my nightmare begins ... They have to move my water tank so to satisfy the regulation. As a result, my washer and dryer were moved. Of course, I didn't check if they were working normally before they left. When I tried to use the washer later, it couldn't be turned on! Then I found that water was dripping from the water hose. Next thing I found out was that the furnace and humidifier stopped working - even though it seemed to work when they left. I called them immediately but their office was closed - it was 16:43. I left them a message then. Then I remembered they have an emergency number that says "24/7 service". So I called that number at 16:47, all I got was a voice message telling me to leave my number and they will give me a call in 1 hour. Later I found more problems, so I have left several messages for them. It is now 21:03 and I still haven't heard from them. How can I trust that they are going to provide 24/7 emergency service if they can't even keep their promise to call people back within 1 hour??? In fact, I don't think they are going to call. There are also some side issues. During the installation, their people broke the bottle of my newly bought special laundry detergent for down garments but they never told me until I started to clean up the basement after they left. Also, when they talked to me about financing plan, they never told me that I have to pay an administrative fee. Today, they brought in the contract and made me sign next to the administrative fee so they could say they have already told me so and I couldn't raise complaint afterwards. This is how they conduct their business and it makes me very uncomfortable. I am going to have a cold night and wet basement today. Don't understand why they get so many positive reviews here. Anyway, my advice for you is: Try to avoid this company. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Post-review Note: Finally I got in touch with them and they have sent someone over to my house to fix the issues. Kevin is very professional and helpful, and he really changes my view on this company. I was told that there were some problems with their emergency line and it should now be corrected. As a result, I have changed my rating on this company and hopefully they will keep up their promise. I am looking forward to working with them in the following years to keep my house comfortable.

    Installed air conditioner & furnace (2015) and humidifier (2017)

    Installed central air conditioner & furnace (2015) and humidifier (2017). The job was of the highest standard. The installers, Steve (2015) and Kevin (2017), were very professional, friendly and knowledgeable. The salesperson, Tim Sakai, was honest and trustworthy. I would highly recommend this company.

    Furnace Broke Down

    In short, my furnace broke down on December 31, 2016. I called a "reputable" company to come out for an emergency service. They were not helpful at all. It was recommended by a friend that I contact Hargrave, and I am glad I did. They attended promptly and repaired the furnace. They were friendly, courteous and most importantly honest with their diagnoses and more than fair with their pricing. I would not hesitate to use them again. I commend you on the way you guys do business Hargrave!!!

    HVAC

    Furnace replacement. Extremely fast and knowledgeable service. What's most impressive is they over delivered while maintaining constant communication. From the initial contact, Hargrave surpassed our expectations. They will serve you well.

    Service to my Carrier furnace

    Your service technician, Kevin Brophy, re-adjusted my furnace to the to meet factory specs. He was very competent and knowledgeable. He gave good advice and explained what was going on with my furnace. I felt he was being truthful. He is a very good technician. Kevin is a keeper. Guy B Pollock

    Air Condition and Heating

    The quality of work done was superb and very detailed attention to the installation of AC & Heating unit. The quote figure was exactly the cost when the work was completed. I would highly recommend Hargrave Heating to my family, friends and neighbours.
