    Wooden Deck Replacement

    Initially, we asked to quote to replace rotten sections of the deck. Pulsar was very good in explaining the defects the poor construction of the existing deck and challenges with replacement. When the Pulsar team began the deck replacement they found further issues and explained my options. The resulting deck is a much stronger structure which looks very good. We are very happy with the work and professionalism of Pulsar. I highly recommend Pulsar.

    Replaced stairs from deck to backyard.

    Work was clean, timely, and resulted in a set of stairs that are stronger and much better looking than the old set. I was informed of every issue and asked about each decision that was required. Excellent job at a fair price.

    Wood Sun Deck Replacement

    We hired Pulsar construction to remove our old rotting sun deck and build us a brand new one. Right from the start, Alex and Mila were reliable and easy to work with. Quotes for the job came in promptly with lots of useful information on brown pressure treated lumber and photos of previous work. Once we had chosen their bid, they started work the next week and proceeded to complete the project in a week and a half. Alex is an old world craftsman who builds quality projects with expertise and pride in his work. No corners are cut here. He pays attention to detail and his structural framing goes beyond code to build a product that will last for years as well as appear attractive. He kept us informed of every step in the project and cleaned up all debris every night to keep the work site safe. He answered all questions promptly and was willing to listen to our requests. We would have no hesitation in recommending this hard working, agreeable couple for any construction job in the future.

    front porch rebuild

    What can I say that hasn't already been said. Alex came to do the estimate after a couple others had already been and right then I knew he was the one, down on his knees and checking everything. His quote was more than fair and we are extremely happy with the end result. The site was always clean and I would recommend him to anyone. Terry & Sheryl Wallin

    Highly recommended

    Alexander did an excellent job rebuilding our deck. He is honest and hard working. Our deck looks wonderful. He stuck to his quote even though there was some extra work that couldn't be anticipated. He is very skilled and knowledgeable. I can tell he wants the job to be done right. Thanks, for the great work!

    Deck Replace

    I had the pleasure of hiring Alex to replace our old and somewhat dangerous cedar deck. This is the 2nd time we'd worked together, so I knew what to expect; A master craftsman. Not having a huge amount of funds to commit to the project, Alex was able to work with me and my somewhat tight money constrains. He came out on the budget, even when the project was harder than expected and he had to work extra hours. A true testament to a good contractor. Having been burnt by contractors in the past, where hourly rates can spiral out of control, it is still a very pleasant surprise to see somebody "doing it right". Alex and his wife are hard workers, arriving promptly and always cheery and willing to explain the road ahead to the laymen. We are thrilled with our new deck and can't wait for better weather to try it out.

    Back yard stairs reno

    Alex did a great job. His price is a little too high for the short amount of time he needed to finish the job, but all and all. The stairs look fantastic.

    Outdoor Deck and Pergola

    Alex and Mila are a pleasure to work with. We found them on Houzz.com and was very quick to respond and answer our needs. We immediately got a visit from Alex to assess the area and the work that our backyard needs. He was able to prioritize what the deck and balcony is lacking and needing of restoration for safety. He was able to answer our needs and questions. We were able to start the project even with the snow forecast. Alex and Mila starts on time and finishes on time or should I say earlier than our deadline. The work and the craftsmanship is beautiful. The details of our pergola and deck are exactly how we wanted it to look actually even better. The work is clean and spot on. He even fixed certain areas of the house that is not included in the job. We are excited to use our newly built in deck as we start our family this spring time. It will create lots of memories of our little girl's play area or birthdays. Our parents will love hanging out there staying under the sun. Thank you again Alex and Mila! Kobe well done! I would definitely recommend them to anyone and wouldn't hesitate to hire them again in the future.

    New Stairs Patio to Deck

    I really lucked out calling Alex at Pulsar Construction. I contacted him for a quote to replace stairs from Patio to Sundeck. He was the first to respond and the first to insist that he inspect the site to give a proper quote on what was asked of him. No obligation implied. I was working long hours on night shift and was not able to meet with him so he inspected the site in my absence and made recommendations via text and email complete with pictures and links to products that would be appropriate for the job. He made a clear proposal of what he would do to uphold building codes and recommended building materials and quoted a very competitive price. Pulsar Construction is a homeowners dream. I said let's go ahead on Monday and had a new set of stairs by late Wednesday afternoon. Most impressively he built them in place during a snow storm. The workmanship is immaculate and the stairs have a better rise and run than before. He showed up when he said he would and did any little extras that provided the best value for us. Looking at the materials he brought for the stairs it is apparent that he spent quite a while selecting through the lumber pile. Alex also provided info for post construction care should we want to paint or treat the wood in the future and recommended tread grips if you wanted them. The family cat already approves of the new stairs and has taken up residence on the third step down. We highly recommend Pulsar for their outstanding service and Craftsmanship. Worthy of HomeStars Best Award. As a homeowner you'll never regret calling Pulsar for a quote.

    Beautiful new stairs

    Alec did an amazing job! I'm so very impressed and so are all the neighbours. He tore out my old stairs in the back of our house and put in 14 new wooden steps. He took the time to explain everything he was doing and explained the materials he was using. He went extra to be sure they were safe. They are quality steps and look beautiful. He is so efficient and knowledgeable. Wonderful job, I'm so happy! I highly recommend.
