My 15 year old water heater started leaking over the long weekend and was worried it would get worse. I'm grateful I was able to find Ash, he was prompt with answering all my questions and concerns about a replacement. He provided me with a quick, fair and accurate quote and kept in close communication. The team arrived right on time for my appointment and was very professional and clean. I was impressed at how they treated my home like their own and carefully protected our floors and work area. Most of all, Ash went above and beyond and replaced a few extra old worn out parts at no extra cost. I usually don't leave reviews, but Ash and his team were top notch and I would recommend him to my family and friends.

Finally said goodbye to out York furnace which in our experience has been a catastrophe since the day (2005) we put it in, seemed like every single year it had to be repaired and this last time out we said enough time to get it replaced. When we called our regular furnace company for yet another service with all our receipts in hand mentioned we mentioned we would be installing a new unit from a different manufacturer. The company kept suggesting another York, they could sell ice cubes to an eskimo but after our experience we were not going the same direction. So off to RFD to get some community recommendations on a company that would offer up great service and being part of our community could recommend some good options. We called Ash from Fair Deal Heating & Air Conditioning who was well regarded and in talking he recommended multiple furnace manufacturers and models that in his opinion was reliable. Ash didn't push any certain brand but rather gives the customer his thoughts and lets them make their own decision. I ended up going with the Napolean as they are a Canadian company, and more importantly make a quality product that is well designed as i researched from people who purchased in the years prior to us. The install with Fair Deal Heating & Air Conditioning went very well, Ash came out to visit during to ensure everything was proceeding nicely. The technicians were knowledgeable, quiet, tidy and left the place spotless once they were completed. The old unit removed and salvagers picked up the remains within an hour. Ash and his team installed a new furnace, direct vents, 5 inch - merv 11 media air filter box, and replaced the chimney liner seeing it no longer had to support two devices (furnace, water tank) in order to meet code. I highly recommend Ash and Fair Deal Heating & Air Conditioning, you will receive straight talk and honest opinions based upon his decades in the business. The work is top notch and no matter how small your question Ask gets back to you within minutes to go over it and keep the communication open. Price wise it is extremely competitive and almost a 1/3 less than my original furnace company, and the quality of work so much better. We are thrilled with the work, and more importantly know the work is done well. If anyone is needing a recommendation here it is, and if you are going down the same path i'm here on RFD so just drop a note and we can share our experience on the Napolean in the years ahead as we come to get a history with it. I am not a fan of providing reviews immediately for sales that involve an element of after-sale service (warranty etc.). Ash deserves top ratings for educating me on product selection as I shopped around, and for his excellent after-sale service. My 15 year old Air Conditioner died in the summer, based on a number of positive reviews in a neighbourhood Facebook group and after reading multiple reviews on Homestars I gave Fair Deal a call. Based on the age of the AC unit and that the refrigerant was difficult to come by I made the decision to replace my it. After the technician looked at the furnace and based on the age of the furnace (21 years old) it was recommended that I also replace the furnace. Spoke with Ash at Fair Deal got a good quote that I agreed with and decided to replace the furnace as well. Speaking with Ash at Fair Deal was very straight forward, the technicians were very professional, and I felt that the price I paid was fair. I would not hesitate to recommend this company to anyone that asks.

We've had a problem with our furnace for the last year where the inducer motor died multiple times. We had many technicians come to take a look but they never found the root cause. The motor died again this fall so we decided it was best just to replace the furnace altogether and get an upgrade. I reached out to Ash and had him come over to get a quote on a new furnace after seeing many positive reviews. His approach was more from a technician's perspective rather than sales. He explained in clear terms what the benefits and negatives of certain models were and patiently answered all of my questions. Ash was upfront about the cost and what the process would be like for the installation. Based on my own research his suggestion aligned with what I had in mind and we decided to go with his company. Ash's team was able to start almost right away the next day. They let us know when they would be arriving ahead of time and came promptly with all their necessary equipment. They setup some mover's carpeting to not scratch the floor while moving in the furnace/equipment and made sure to keep the area tidy while working. There were no issues with the furnace installation. Ash's team also replaced any pipes they deemed to be needing replacement. They also made some enhancements to the intake/outtake vents outside to make them in accordance with current regulations. This was a great thing and definitely gave Ash and his team more credibility as other technicians neglected to mention this issue. These changes made did not incur any additional cost to the project. The furnace was installed and ran very well - much better than the old one. My wife noticed the difference right away at how quickly the house got warmer and how the warmth was better maintained. Even after Ash's team completed the furnace installation, Ash remained in contact answering my questions and offering good advice. I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a Furnace company that's responsive and completes what's required instead of upselling unnecessary upgrades/services. Thank you Ash and your team! I had a great experience getting a new furnace and AC installed by ash and his team at fair deal heating and air conditioning. I had originally reached out to Reliance but wasn't really happy with the "technician" they sent over as he didn't seem to know anything or care at all. I reached out to ash after stumbling upon his name on some forums and was not disappointed with the service provided. My house was over hundred years old and had certain challenges but his team was able to find solutions to make it all work. Very happy with the end result. I wasn't too familiar with furnaces and air conditioners going in but ash made the whole process easy. Helps also that his prices were fair and reasonable. Its sometimes hard to find honest people in these types of businesses but I can tell that ash is truly one of the good ones that can be counted on to do a good job.

I moved to a house with an A/C that was over 15 years old and was struggling to keep up with recent heat waves. I was also doing some landscaping work around where the AC is so needed the unit taken away first. Ash was very accommodating and understood exactly my needs. He provided sound advice on what kind of unit was bigger bang for the buck while also making me aware of my options. My old unit was quickly taken away which allowed the other contractors to resume work quickly. When it came time to reinstall the new unit, the team worked quickly and cleaned up after themselves.
