    If you want next to no service and be berated for asking questions - great choice

    Where to start? Terrible service - 7 of the first 8 snow storms - I had to shovel myself. Meaning - they simply did not come. When I asked about this - I was told (rudely) I was being unreasonable and my expectations where too high. Finally, I simply canceled my contract and got 50% of my money back and continued to shovel myself. I was going to just let by-gones be by-gones and in the spirit of 'life is too short for this' and just shovel again my self this year.... but then... I got an spam email that was bribing people to write good reviews for this company with a 'Trip to Cancun'. Shady ethics aside, I have concern for the elderly and invalid that may rely on reliable snow service for their health and well being. Summary: Terrible company and take any positive reviews as what they are... a bribed ballot.

    Excellent prompt snowplowing service!

    We have used Metro snow removal for the past 2 years and are extremely happy with it. We wanted a company that was reliable and had enough vehicles so that on a busy snow day we would not be forgotten…That is what we got! Prompt service and if required they wait until the snow plow comes by so they clear that frozen ball of mess at the ned of the driveway. They even came by twice on occasion once to clear and once to clear the snow plow mess. Great service. Going with Metro for a third year!

    Snow removal

    This will be my third season with Metro Snow and Ice Management. The cost is affordable. They are professional and have never missed a earning of snow. I love how they come back throughout the day if it continues to snow and communicate via email their plan to clear for the day.

    This snow removal company has jumped the shark

    TL;DR - Appleseed did a fine job, after Metro bought them out, the service level has noticeably deteriorated. I don`t mind an occasional late run or even a miss here and there, but last season was exceptionally poor in my neighbourhood (Merivale/Greenbank Office). I tried using the website 'submit an issue' feature at least 6 times and never received even a courtesy reply. I suppose the problem of missing a run self-resolves when snow just accumulates on your driveway and they clear it during a later snow event a few days later. The company also vaunts their GPS email system [which I don't actually need or expect, and would gladly swap for prompt service without notification] but I only ever received one email last year (after the second snowstorm, since they missed the first one). Not sure if the tech feature was malfunctioning or if they did not want to actually provide written confirmation of how many late runs they did (and by late I mean days late, not hours late, which is totally to be expected sometimes). It seemed last season you either got the lane cleared and were stuck with the grader dump to clear yourself, or they waited to clear grader dump and missed your lane in the meantime. Admittedly, they mentioned difficulties in coordinating with the city plows, but somehow their competitor(s) on the street made it work reasonably well. Would gladly trade all the email communication (which admittedly, I did appreciate) for actual snow removal... Think I will try to pay more (or less) for a smaller and/or more reliable outfit to clear my driveway next season. No business is perfect, but last season with Metro gave me enough of a reason to take a look elsewhere.

    Driveway clearing

    I used Metro last year for the first time. They showed up during , after every snow fall. My neighbour used a different company that did not show up after a couple done falls. I will be using them again.

    Disappointed

    Unfortunately I am unable to recommend this company. If a snowfall came during the night I would be lucky if they plowed by 9pm the next night - if at all. More than 3x they forgot my driveway and they did not like it if you emailed them to ask about it. Bottom line is I got impression that they bite off way more than they can chew, in the eagerness to make more profit they take in as many contracts as possible and just don’t have the people or plows to cover it. I was very disappointed with them and more often than not would need to shovel my driveway myself.

    Fantastic service. On time all the time

    Have been using Metro for a few years now. Exemplary service. Clear my driveway before I leave for work in the morning. All cleared up before I come home at night.

    Snow removal

    I have been with Metro Snow & Ice since moving to my new neighbourhood in 2012. I live on a bus route and am very pleased with my snow removal service. I have never had an issue with getting in or out of my driveway, even during big snow storms. Plow dumps are cleared away shortly after city plows clear my street. Updates are provided regularly. This company has my highest recommendation for snow removal.

    Metro Snow Management (Ottawa)

    I hired them last winter season to clear our double driveway, and I was very pleased. Only one time was clearing missed, and when I called the Metro Office it was then cleared promptly. They do a very careful clearing job, have top-line equipment, communicate via email when they expect to come each time, and they return to clean up the residual snow left behind by city street plows. I would highly recommend Metro! I have hired them again for the coming 2018-2019 winter.

    Winter snow removal

    Last year first time using. Did great job, I signed up for a second year. Does great email updates with snow status and when drivers would be out. This is a hard job and those drivers are up in middle of the night while we sleep warmly in bed. All staff very helpful! Ken gives everyone great updates at 3, 4 am......thank god you do what you do!
