    Install Solar Panels
    Gopal of Herc Du Soleil did a great job installing 24 panels at my property in Toronto. He was very knowledgeable, professional, fair, and adaptable. It was a difficult and long delayed project due to city permitting requirements, etc. but Gopal was helpful throughout the process and was able to adapt to the particulars of my project even though it was not a standard installation. (I installed a large custom metal carport and he needed to attach to it with special fasteners and hardware in freezing cold weather). Gopal handles the paperwork and most of the physical work himself so you know that you are getting someone that knows what they are doing on site. Everything turned out great and we are very happy with the final product. I would definitely recommend Gopal and Herc Du Soleil.

    10 KW Rooftop Solar Array

    Herc Du Soleil was a pleasure to work with. We chose to hire them because they had the best reviews and they also came in with the best quote from the 3 companies we queried. The owner, Gopal, was very friendly, well-informed and prompt. He handled all the paperwork, coordinating with Toronto Hydro for permits and inspections, and kept us in the loop every step of the process. His team did an excellent job with the installation and our solar array is now producing power for our house. Can't recommend this company enough!

    Excellent Solar Panel Installation by Herc du Soleil

    We would recommend Gopal unreservedly. He installed a 9.1kW (19 panel) solar system for us. His quote was very competitive and his experience in both retail and commercial installations was more comprehensive than any of the other four providers who quoted for us. He was also able to help us consider different solution types (string vs microinverter vs optimizer) in contrast with the other providers who only offer one solution. His patience and availability to answer our questions was admirable! We started the process by contacting Gopal in spring of 2023. Similar to other reviewers we had projects we needed to complete in advance over the summer (upgrading our panel, new hydro connection to the house, new roof and attic ventilation) for our older Toronto home. He was able to provide references who also spoke very highly of his work. Once we were ready, Gopal was very responsive and able to install our solar system in the fall. The project ran smoothly as Gopal coordinated the work on our behalf with his electrician, ESA and Toronto Hydro. We were also impressed by his electrician. In sum, Gopal and his team were very professional and a pleasure to deal with.

    Solar project with external complications made easy by Herc du Soleil

    Our project had a few little complications along the way (needing to redo our roof first, needing to work with the roofers so the wiring could run under the new metal roof, needing to track down a very particular Inverter we wanted to use) and Gopal was very patient and helpful with adapting to whatever we needed. He is deeply knowledgeable and happy to explain whatever we wanted to understand in more detail. If he has time in his schedule for you, I dont think you could go wrong working with Gopal and Herc du Soleil.

    Residential Solar Panels

    Gopal installed 22 solar panels on my house in Etobicoke. The system went live mid August and has worked flawlessly since. Gopal is easy to work with, he responds quickly to e-mails and phone calls. I appreciated speaking to the person who would ultimately be doing the work from the initial contact. In contrast, other companies I researched sent over salespeople to hype their products, but who did not have actual experience installing solar panels. Gopal does excellent work and is reasonably priced. I'm very happy with my solar panels. All in all an excellent experience working with Gopal.

    Great value, excellent service

    I selected Herc Du Soleil because his quote offered a better price for a larger solar installation. He kept his word and in addition was a pleasure to work with. I'm completely satisfied with the result.

    Installation of Residential Solar System

    Install new residential solar energy system

    From proposal to final implementation, Herc du Soleil has been responsive, professional, informative and very easy to deal with. On the installation day, the crew arrived on time and worked really hard - especially given the temperatures were close to 30 degrees and probably more on the black roof. They were friendly, respectful and cleaned everything up around the worksite before leaving. Subsequent appointments to do electrical, get ESA approval and finally switch on the system after Toronto Hydro switched out the meter for a bi-directional one, were all efficient and easy. The system comprises 7 panels for a total of 3.185 kW, 3.8 kW inverter and power optimizers for each panel.

    Solar Panel Installation

    I contacted 3 companies before selecting Herc Du Soleil to install a 10 kWh system (21 panels). Gopal is very knowledgeable. He handles all required permits and dealt with my service provider to coordinate the installation of the bi-directional meter, etc. Gopal was able to provide me with a number of referees with whom I was able to contact and or visit their properties to view his work prior to me signing a contract The entire process went smoothly thanks to Gopal's ability to communicate and coordinate with all the parties involved. He was very patience when explaining the process and I had a clear understanding of what to expect. My solar panels were connected to the grid on May 1, 2023, and has generated over 4 MWh to date. I have seen a significant difference in my electricity bill. Thanks, Gopal for a job well done. Please fell free to use me as a reference.
