Alex recently installed 4 windows and 2 doors for our fixer upper. He offered great suggestions when determining what windows should be installed. He didn’t try to sell us something we didn’t need. He is one of the cleanest contractors we have seen and worked long days to complete the job. Why the low review? On the first day, he tried to install a window in the wrong room. Luckily, only the trim was removed before I realized what was happening. He was about to cut into the house as the new window was larger than the existing window. After some back and forth, he realized his mistake and the window was eventually installed in the correct room. The other window installations went fine. Alex returned this past weekend to install the front door. When he asked to speak to me, he raised his voice 2 octaves and screamed, “I TOLD YOU WHEN THE FLOOR TILE IS INSTALLED…” He made me so angry with this unprofessionalism, I left without saying a word as he continued to rant the floor tile was not installed to his specifications. Alex raised his voice at my husband when he came to investigate the commotion. Thankfully, the same tile installer was at the house working on another project. After much back and forth between Alex and the tile installer with Alex's voice raised, the tile was cut back and the door was installed. The rest of the day Alex was uncomfortably quiet and was very short and curt with us when we asked questions. Alex never apologized for his behaviour . As the tile installer was leaving, he said he was shocked to hear Alex screaming at us in that manner. The lack of professionalism has left a sour test in our mouths. Because of this, we will not hire Alex to install the remaining windows next year.

We had Alexander install 10 new windows throughout the house. His and his helpers workmanship was excellent. We decided to go with him thanks to all the great reviews we read on this site and google, and we are so happy we did. He initially had several suggestions for us, unlike other installers, and we are thankful we listened to him because the end result is way better than expected. He is an expert at what he does, very meticulous and left our house spotless clean. He will be back in November to change our front door. Highly recommended.

I would recommend Alexander for all your window and door needs. He and his assistant showed up on a rainy day and stayed all day to install a 9 foot custom patio door. His attention to detail is immaculate. He answered all our questions and even came back to address some minor things after the job was done. We were so happy with his work that he will now be installing another set of windows this month. Thanks Alexander for your hard work!

I had four new windows installed. Alexander does excellent work at a great price. He is fast, friendly and does professional work. I recomend you check out North Design Windows before going with any other window company in the Ottawa area.

I would not hesitate for one second to recommend Alexander to take care of all your window and door needs. His prices were more than competetive (could not be beat). What stands him above the rest is his work ethic and attention to detail. He and his assistant Eugene worked non stop for more than 10 hours. We are so pleased with him and his work. Old school detail all the way!

Was recommended by a prior client of The company. The client follow up was quick, and responsive to specific questions. The windows & door came in earlier than expected and were installed within a few days. The detail to the installation was excellent, and the cleanliness was top notch. The price was fair to top end, but you get what you pay for and we are very pleased. We have a few windows left to go, and I won’t have to think twice about who to use.

We hired Alex to replace multiple windows and we were very impressed with the quality of his work and of the windows installed! Very attentive to detail and the place was left spotless. The price was also very reasonable. Highly recommended!

We needed an access door for the side of our garage replaced. The old one was original. It was wood and rotted through. We also had a single exterior backdoor that we had converted to a 5 foot sliding door. He had to cut out a large chunk of the wall to do this. Alexander did an incredible job. The work was thorough and immaculate. He leaves the area spotless. It is clear he takes great pride in his work. We highly recommend his services. He is highly reliable.

Needed to replace all the windows in our house, but was not sure whom to trust to do the work. A friend recommended North Design Windows, as he was really happy with the work they had done for him. So, I called them, and I am really happy I did. They came over, measured all the windows, showed me my options, and gave me a quote on the spot. Alex, the guy who did the measuring and quote, was so professional that I had no reservation signing a contract on the spot. As soon as our windows were in, they arranged for the installation. Again, very professional and efficient - a well coordinated team. I am so happy with our new windows. They look really really good. I should have done this years ago! Would I recommend North Deign Windows to a friend? I already did!
