Not only did they deliver and help install the iron filter promptly after I paid the invoice, but he also went above and beyond to understand my personal situation and worked around my very limited budget. We have sulphur and iron in our water and we contacted a few companies to provide us with a quote. The quote ranged from $4k to $5k. We were refereed to Shawn by one of our neighbours. When we contacted him, he was easy to talk with and provided us with a great deal of knowledge about water. He said he had a solution that required less maintenance and was actually quite cheaper than what we had been quoted by the other companies. He was able to provide a quote after the first phone call. We appreciated the fact that he promised he would not call us every few days and would wait for use to choose which company we would go with. We ended up choosing him, paid him and the system was installed about 2 weeks later. It has been about 8 months and we have had no problems with our water. We bought a water filtration system from Ottawa Water Filters over a year ago. Shawn visited our home, gave us a quote and told us the water system would be in within 2 to 3 weeks. My mother was sick with cancer and wanted the system put into the house before she passed away. Twice he called to ask if he had put the system in our home and then said it would be a few more weeks until it arrived. We were installing the system ourselves and had just bought a system only. After 2 months we still did not have a system in place. My mom passed away and we cancelled the service. Shawn has said he would return the funds to us but it has been over a year and we have gotten a partial, (less than a quarter) of a return but not a complete refund. We have been very disappointed in his service and would like our money back. We continue to get excuses. We hope this has not happened to other customers.Answer from pro:
Hi Kathy, you had purchased this system during the Covid crisis. That was at a time that there was a massive back order for the system you ordered. Many customers at the time was affected. I remained in constant contact with updates. When the system did arrive, I tried to offer you folks a FREE install to compensate you for the delay TWICE. We then proceed with the refund but the supplier wanted to charge you a %35 restocking fee. Since I was aware of the situation with your mother I tried to get the restocking fee cancelled Time passed as I did not want to bother you due to your mother. Your refund fell through the cracks so to speak and I am now refunding your purchase personally. I have refund you partially and continue to do so. I feel bad it did not work out and as I stated over the phone and in person, your remaining balance will be refunded very shortly. We are also willing to install the full system if you change your mind.

We have very soft water coming out of our well but it stinks! For more than 40 years we had a potassium permanganate filters that did a pretty good job to remove the sulphur smell. But it was getting more expensive and more difficult to buy the potassium. So when the time came to change the media in the filter we decided to purchase a new filter instead. We bought a Chemical Free Air Injection System with a Clack valve from Ottawa Water Filters. It has been working great. Shawn was great and did a fantastic job. Our well water failed a safe for drinking test and Shawn knew exactly what to do. He installed a UV and filter system in our house and our well water tested perfectly less than 2 weeks later. I would highly recommend this water softener to anyone who has hard water with a significant amount of iron. Shawn Sauve provides OUTSTANDING service, he was responsive and addressed all of my questions. I am no longer challenged with my hair turning a lovely colour of orange and stained toilet bowls. I live across the country in Calgary Alberta and there is no one I would rather order my water filters (5 yr supply) from or get any solid advise regarding my water filtering system than Shawn at Ottawa Water Filters Co. Great prices and service is and was second to none.
