Can’t say enough about the service and professionalism of the Ottawa Water Filters. I don’t often write reviews but felt compelled to, because of such a wonderful experience. We needed both a water softener and a purifying system for our home. Shawn came and installed both within 60 minutes! He was kind, courteous and very knowledgeable. Thank you Shawn!! We were from scrubbing our appliances, baths,showers,dishes etc so much that we ruined them due to our hard water. Now, after having our new water system for barely one month, we can enjoy fresh, clean water but also we can think of upgrading our appliances and our other wrecked items with the peace of mind of knowing that the water will not ruin them! Truly a life changing event in my household!!

Shawn was an excellent individual to deal with. He provided honest service and is a man of his word. We installed the system with Shawn's coaching over the phone and to date, it has addressed our water issue; just as Shawn had promised. I would certainly recommend anyone looking for a water system to speak with Shawn before investing. Our system requires no maintenance and NO SALT needed.

Bad iron and calcium in pipes. Restricted water flow in hot water tap specifically. I put Shawn through hell to ensure the water system would work before I put out 2k! He rocked my challenge! In and out of the house in 90 minutes! Recommended highly!

I replaced a $8000 chlorination system, which did not work with an iron filter and have now totally clean water, which I didn't have for 14 years. I am living on a lake and have well water. I only kept the water softener from the old system and threw out the iron filter, carbon filter, big holding tank and the chlorine pump as recommended by Shawn. I have now more or less no maintenance at all, which I constantly needed the 14 years before, which are for sure another $8000 wasted and now I might have to clean the Clack valve maybe once a year or every two years and this valve is so service friendly that I can do this myself. I am 72 years old and installed the filter all by myself, which with pex tubing is a piece of cake. I can only recommend Shawn to anybody who has problems with his tap water.

I bought a water softener from Culligan, that was supposed to remove up to 2 ppm of sulphur, about three years ago. The softener worked, but it did not remove the sulphur smell. I researched three different iron and sulphur filters and decided to go with Ottawa Water Filter's unit, because it had many positive reviews about it. After discussing the situation with Shawn he convinced me that his filter would do the job. I live in the Belleville, Ontario area, so I purchased the filter from Shawn and he shipped it to me and gave me excellent instructions to install it. As soon as I installed it Shawn helped me "boot it up". The very next day the iron taste in the water and the sulphur smell had totally disappeared. After four days it is still working great and I couldn't be happier. I would gladly recommend this filter, and Shawn, to anyone with an iron and sulphur problem in their well water.

I reached out to Shawn for a second opinion after being told by a vendor that our filtration system needs a costly upgrade. Shawn called back in no time and after a few questions and photos, told us there was no urgency in upgrading and that our current system was working just fine. It’s so nice to deal with someone focused on client satisfaction instead of strictly sales. I will definitely be recommending this company to everyone I know.

My water was hard and have a high Iron content. This system (HIM) has resolved all of these and I love that it self regenerates, which means never having to buy filters or even replacing the resin inside the filtration tank. I just have to add a bit of salt periodically and the rest is automated. Hassle and worry free. Shawn asked me if I was good with tool and I said yes so he coached me through the installation over the phone and it was easy and I saved a lot of money! I highly recommend that system and his services! Shawn is very honest and won’t try to make extra money. He will only sell you what you need. I saved around $2000 with him compare to the other companies that I asked for a quote!
