    Good guy gone rogue

    With a positive experience we went to Gary for another job. But this time we were completely disappointed. The installer was a inexperienced and extremely rude. A few days after the job was done, the flooring started to come out and fall apart. I have been trying to reach Gary now that the covid restrictions have opened up, but he has been avoiding our calls. I do not recommend Gary anymore. He has probably become a victim of his own success. Ignore this guy and Direct Flooring.

    Although the comment above says "Private User" we are pretty sure we know this poster. It's unfortunate that the Covid lock down restrictions have delayed us following up with you. I must add though, that we did speak before the lock down, and in fact after the lock down to arrange a time. So it's surprising to claim there is no communication. In fact we spoke, apparently before you posted this commentary. I don't agree with your assessment of our installer either, as there are plenty of customers (daily) who may hold a different opinion.     Carpet Installation

    I would highly recommend Direct Flooring Deals to anyone! Gary was quick to respond, he understood the urgency in my request and had an amazing price!     Condo Flooring Install

    Our experience started in the same way many as many of the other positive reviewers but right after the installation things went sour. Now, 1 year later I’m stuck with a floor that sounds like bubble wrap anywhere you step on it, with no resolution in sight. I feel that I have been ripped me by thousands of dollars, not a great feeling when you’re looking to start a life in Toronto. Great pre-sale experience with Gary coming to our home and helping us to select the right flooring for our situation and our aesthetic tastes. The installation happened prior to our move into our new condo. The first indications of something being amiss was that Gary’s crew consisted of one young man who did everything. The person that referred us to him had a few people on the job doing the installation, of different ages and experience level. From there we hardly heard from Gary. I made several trips back and forth to the unit during the installation as we lived next door and he was nowhere to be found. All I got from Gary after the installation was a text asking if we were pleased. At that point, I reported the creaking and he mentioned that it needs a little time to settle. The problem worsened every time the outside humidity levels were above 40%. Soon after other problems became apparent. We found the planks move and bend in some areas areas we have some warping in the cement floor, meaning there was obviously no attempt at leveling. Also the transitions installed also became dislodged soon after as they were not drilled into the floor as they’re supposed to be but glued on haphazardly. None of these issues existed with the laminate Gary’s installation replaced Here I am one year later, nothing has been resolved and the creaking is just as bad as it has always been. Gary had made a few trips to check out the problem making various excuses with each visit, not being able to come up with any solution and unwilling to try and fix the problem. He tried to blame the issue on an underlayment suggested by our property management due to building FIIC standards, the possibility of a defected batch of the flooring he brought, etc. None of this accounts for the obvious shoddiness of the install and his lack of oversight and quality control of the installation. I have not heard back from Gary for more than half a year now after numerous attempts at contacting him.

    Carpet Installation

    Gary was a pleasure to work with, he was very informative and provided amazing feedback for our interior project. Raheel was our installer and he was a very positive and kind person; he installed the carpet efficiently with ease. Overall very satisfied with the result and our carpet looks great! Would highly recommend to anyone looking for home flooring project services, will definitely work with them again for any of our future projects!

    New Floors throughout a condo

    We would highly recommend Gary and Direct Flooring to anyone. Gary was a pleasure to work with. He is reliable, trustworthy, dependable and his installers did a great job too. Gary made the process easy by coming to the condo with samples. Quote was accurate and very reasonable. The process with Direct flooring was easy and effortless.

    Re-carpeting the stairs in the home

    Gary came to our home with samples of fabric and he advised us on practical benefits of types and colour. The workman Rahid was very pleasant, worked non-stop and cleared debris after he was done. The job was perfection.

    Gary was a pleasure to deal with, he provided a quote & was able to accommodate our rush job. He assisted in colour & carpet choice for our budget & our purpose. Job was completed on time & clean up was amazing.

    Carpet replacement

    Gary was professional, knowledgeable, and a very friendly person. He came and quoted us on the carpet replacement in our house, and we felt the price was reasonable and did not feel the need to compare around for prices. He gave us some recommendations on carpet choices, and we picked one that he recommended. His installer did a really good job with putting the carpet in and cleaned everything up before he left. All in all, a great experience!

    Carpet Removal and Installation

    Gary has been a trusted and reliable provider of flooring and carpet to my family for years. The installer showed up on time and did a fantastic job. As well after the job was completed my house was clean and there were little or no signs of the installation. The quality, service and cleanliness exceeded my expectations. Thanks Gary and Raheem.

    Bedroom Carpet and Hardwood on Main Floor

    Direct Flooring Deals was recommended to me from Real Estate agent. We needed to list the house fast and we needed new floors everywhere, among other things. Gary was informative and helped us with our flooring selections. They were able to have the carpet and hardwood installed almost immediately. Within 3 days they were done and the house looks amazing. The cost of the job was reasonable as Gary understood we didn’t want to break the bank because we were not staying in the house. We would have no problem recommending Direct Flooring to any of our friends or neighbours.
