Brick Aid Masonry reviews (172)

In need of replacement/repair of the parging on one side of our 100+ year old house, with repair to cracks on the other side, as well as repair to the pointing between bricks - we got quotes from a number of masonry firms, including from BAM. When Phong came over, he talked us through what he thought needed doing and gave us a quote. It was very competitive - not the cheapest, but far from the most expensive. Phong was also willing to do the job at relatively short notice. The core work took Phong and his partner a day to do, with finishing off and clean up etc. taking an additional 1/2 day. This is what Phong had quoted and the work was - to my limited knowledge - done well. From the start Phong said he wanted to do a job that we were satisfied with and he was as good as his word - he replaced a number of cracked bricks for us that went above the work in the original quote, but he was good enough to keep the price the same. I would say that masonry work is not cheap, but for us it was necessary. I would go back to BAM and Phong if I have similar work that is needed.

Phong and van were the masons who fixed the cracks in our brick on the exterior of our home. They were super nice, efficient and did a great job! They even went above and beyond by fixing some other cracks that weren’t in the scope of the project which was much appreciated. We would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for masonry work as they were great to work with and did a fantastic job!

Phong did a great job. Work was delayed several times due to weather etc. But in the end all was completely well.

Phong and his crew were polite and professional. They came to redo the mortar on the front of our 100 year old house, and also mortar repair on the rest of the walls. Communication was very good throughout the the job and we definitely would recommend them to anyone!

My chimney needed to be repaired and some damaged bricks needed to be replaced by the front door. I found Brick Aid Masonry on Homestars and picked them based on their reviews. Phong and Teo were very pleasant and professional. Phong answered any questions or concerns that I had, and the job including an extra task took one day to complete. He communicated every step and kept me informed of all that was happening. He provided before and after photos of the chimney. When they were done they cleaned up the area. I am very pleased with the outcome and would recommend this company to my family and friends.

Phong and his company Brick Aid Masonsry was recommended to me when I was talking to a friend about having to have my chimney repointed. He had done some work for her and she had nothing but praise for him as a person; his honesty, work and professionalism. I reached out to him, and after some discussion and agreeing on the price, we booked a service date for him to repoint the chimney and some areas that needed attention on my home. The service date was postponed twice due to all the rain we’ve been having, but as soon as it was possible (on a Sunday no less), he came with his son, Teo, and completed the job the same day. Before he started, he walked around with me to tell me what he was going to do, and when they were done, they cleaned up the area. He provided before and after photos, and I was happy with the work done. I can attest to everything my friend said about Phong. It was a seamless process and I would call him again if I have any masonry work to be done. I would also recommend Phong and his company to my friends/family.

Phong and Van did a great job repairing mortar that had deteriorated. They also went around the house inspecting and repairing other areas that was above the original scope of work. I would have no hesitation recommending their services to friends or family. Phil

Phong came and assessed what was needed to complete the job. He gave me an honest quote and went above and beyond it, fixing cracks around my stairs which were outside the scope of the job. Phong is fantastic! I would highly recommend Phong and his team to anyone.

Phong was very responsive and quickly available to help resolve a leak caused by our chimney. He offered many options and price points which was helpful. He was very flexible with scheduling and quickly available. He worked efficiently and effectively, great service quality and a wonderful team to work with.

Cost was less than other quotes non of which promised as thorough a job. Attitude was professional and job was finished on time.
