While we understand that the cost of plumbing is expensive, we can assure you that our prices are in line with the current industry standards and other reputable premium plumbing companies of a similar caliber to Drain King. As well, it appears you were able to confirm that our prices are in line with industry standards through your research. There is always going to be someone who is more or less expensive, but we cannot be compared to a handy person or one-man show who does not offer warranties and is less reputable. Furthermore, it is important to note that higher prices are not specific to our company or the plumbing industry as everything in the world today has increased and is much more expensive than a few years ago. We can appreciate your research and breakdown of the costs as well, however, our prices are not hourly and our technicians are not paid on an hourly basis either. This means that regardless of the time it took the technician to commute and complete the work, you would be charged the same price for the same work. We find that this method of pricing is much more preferred by our customers compared to hourly charges to avoid unnecessary costs if the work takes longer than initially expected. We hope this clarifies things better for you and that you can understand our perspective and reasoning for standing by our pricing. If we were overcharging our customers, we would not be in business and we definitely would not be as reputable as we are today.
