    Sadly to say that I am beyond disappointed

    We got a new boiler and a new hot water tank for a house at a resent purchased home to replace the old ones that were probably over 25 years old last year. After the end of the winter now, we found something not right and discover the contracted installer made a huge mistake to install one of the components upsides down. They came back to fix it and flooded the partial basement, they did a horrible job and left! and still got it WRONG. I am not a very technical person to explain what exactly happened, but I could tell you that with the amount of money I spent, I don't deserve this kind of quality of work and service they provided. Beyond disappointed and feeling hopeless. How can I get them back to fix the problem and get them do the things right??

    Rinnai Tankless Installation

    We had to replace our 20-year old gas water heater. It was well past its prime and was making strange noises. Joe from Empower Home Comfort responded to our request on HomeStars then met with us and quoted us on replacing the old tank with a similar tank but also on replacing it with a tankless unit. Although the tankless was about $1,000 more expensive, the energy savings and the gained space in our mechanical room were persuasive. After we cleared space for the work to be done we contacted Joe to sign the contract. The installation was done professionally and completely on the next day (today) by Behzad and his helper. They even took our old tank away. Before leaving, Behzad asked me to check the water temperature and showed me how to turn the unit on/off and change the temperature. Having turned off the natural gas supply for disconnecting/connecting, he also asked me to check that our fireplaces would ignite. One did not. So he took the time to get our pilot light re-lit and that fireplace operating properly.

    Furnace and thankless water heater

    Great service. Quick ,reliable, and informative. We weren't sure about the tankless option and the rep gave us loads of info to be able to decide.

    Serviceman Brad to the Rescue

    We had an issue with our furnace Humidifier. As soon as Brad arrived he spotted the problem immediately and fixed it in a timely manner. He is very knowledgeable, and personable. Plus he wore a mask the whole time, which was very considerate. We'd recommend Empower and especially Brad! Thanks!

    Furnace Maintenance

    Empower Tech Brad did a great job. He was prompt, alerting me before he arrived so i can put the dog in a room. Service work: He explained everything he was doing with respects to the furnace , my Humidifier and even gave me some tips about my AC unit ( which i will have looked at in summer) He also added an exhaust pipe extension outside my house. I highly recommend Empower services and tech Brad. Thank you!!

    Furnace & Hot Water Tank Service

    Brad has done many service calls in my house. He is very professional & knowledgeable and he takes time to explain the issue & the resolution. I recommend Empower Home as they have someone like Brad who excels in customer service.

    follow up

    I have used empower for a hot water heater and an AC. I had some concerns about the AC but the General Manager reached out and addressed these.

We appreciate you providing feedback regarding the service, and we'd like to share some information from our end as well to shed a bit more light on this situation and clear up some possible misunderstandings. During our AC maintenance visits, we do also need to check the furnace, as the outdoor condenser unit, along with the furnace and evaporator coil, work together to provide your home with cooling. Checking the furnace and coils is a standard part of the AC maintenance visits, which is also listed on our website under "13 Steps Involved In Air Conditioner Maintenance" and the welcome document we send at the time of plan sign-up. During the AC maintenance, we discovered the evaporator coil on top of your furnace had frozen and thawed, causing water to leak down into the furnace unit and severely damaging it. We found the cause for the frozen evaporator coil to be a clogged filter. Our tech saw the washable filter you had was quite dirty and clogged up, we took a photo of it at the time to document this, and we are happy to share it with you if you'd like to take a look. Usually, with something like a disposable 16x25x1 MERV 8 pleated filter, we recommend changing them at least every 3 months, more frequently if you have more pollutants in the house or have higher air quality needs. The washable kind of filters need to be cleaned more frequently, and they in general have a lower MERV rating, meaning they have lower filtering capabilities. It's possible the frequency you need to be cleaning your filter was more often than what you had expected, and unfortunately, the filter became clogged and caused the coil to freeze over and leak. We do stand behind our work, and that includes the diagnosis we gave for the cause of the leak damaging the furnace. As for what other individuals you consulted said about our work and reputation, we can only say that in a situation like this with a unit beyond repair, it may be in other companies' favour to shift the blame onto us to help establish rapport with their new potential customer and drive home a sale. And where there is competition, there is the possibility of slander. We can't speak for the reputation of other companies, but we do believe our Google and Homestars reviews are a more provable and reliable way to judge our work.     Replace Forced Air Furnace and AC

    Empower did a great job of replacing my aging furnace and AC. The sales lead, Tommy, is very friendly and knowledgeable. He was quick to reach out to his team to answer unusual questions, and always had time to go over the details with me. He prepared several proposals, taking into account various configurations and rebate scenarios. In the end, I feel that Empower gave me the best possible pricing, on a high quality / high efficiency system. The installation went very smoothly, the technicians were knowledgeable and friendly, and worked hard to make sure all of the little details were attended to. I honestly could not be happier, and am happy to recommend Empower. They run an excellent company, and you will definitely be happy with their work.

    Bosch mini split

    Brad identied the problem with the bosch split system and repaired right away. Condenser water was dripping internally because of lack of Insulation.
