    Ed was very friendly and knowledgeable. He fixed our stove and explained what the problem was and why it was not working properly. Despite it being fixed a week prior by another company who refused to return without us paying a large sum of money, Ed completed the job for 75% less than the other company. I would recommend Ed for any repairs you might need in your home.

    Very poor response from Humber Plumbing. They sent this to a sub-contractor and that part has been excellent. When he arrived he said I had to Pay Humber for the service call but that he would be handling things after that. I used the portal for Humber supplied through a link to pay and the sub contractor said Humber would send me a receipt except nothing came. I texted, emailed and tried to call Humber Appliance many times. Each call had a message that there was one other client in queue and that I should wait. After 15 minutes, the message said someone would call me back and I was disconnected but I never got a call. The sub contractor is excellent and is immediately responsive. HomeStars does not seem to police this service at a high enough level to give me confidence that this is a legit way to find a service for a particular requirement. Humber Appliance is an aggregator that really cares less about clients. HomeStars just facilitates this. I do not plan to use HomeStars again.

    The Job I called about on January 8, 2026, has not been completed to my satisfaction. The refrigerator temperature does not default to the manufacture's setting, it is erratic and fluctuates resulting in freezing up of the food in the fridge. Before the Technician left our place, he let us know it takes about 24 hours for the temperature setting to go back to the default setting of 37/5 degrees. This did not happen. We have called and sent emails to the company's Customer Service Manager and Dispatcher. No response to date.
