Roof and ceiling leak/damage. Professional and responsive company. Provided a free estimate. Then, repaired the roof in a timely and effective way. Encouraged me to go up on the roof to check the work before and after. Price was reasonable. Jason Hunter and his team are excellent!

Canadian Roofing Co. did a great job and saved the day for this little old lady in Toronto. I had a major leak into my upstairs bedroom during a recent storm causing significant damage. Several contractors and roofers came to inspect the damage and to identify the cause of leak. Unfortunately they disagreed with each other in terms of the source of leak and offered different ways of fixing the leak. The roofer from my insurance company said it was my flat roof that was leaking (and therefore not covered by my insurance policy), while the roofer who re-did my flat roof only 2 years ago insisted that there was no leakage at all after doing a half-hearted water test. Another thought there was a gap in the scupper box while the contractor from the insurance company felt that the gap was a normal space and not a leak. I was so confused that I did not know whom to believe and what to do. Finally on the advice of a friend, I called Jason at Canadian Roofing. Jason came the same day, did a thorough inspection, and came up with the most plausible explanation of the leak. He was very knowledgeable and professional, and carefully explained his reasoning for his solution (a custom scupper and repair of the surrounding roof area). He also explained the need to pull back parts of the flat roof and the flashings for inspection before anyone can be sure of the cause, and what other potential causes and damages there could be. Right there, I knew I could trust him. When Jason and his crew came to do the repairs, they were courteous, efficient and had a great job. After the scupper box and flashing were replaced, they did a water test to ensure that there was no more leaks. When the water test revealed that there was another leak from one of the roof vents, they fixed that too. Jason even identified another source of leak (two tiny little holes on the metal cap of the wall) overlooked by all others. Jason was just amazing. I am very satisfied. I don’t think any other roofer would be able to identify and solve all my roof problems. Thanks again, Jason and crew!

Very pleased with the work Jason and his crew did at my property. They got the work done on time and everyone Jason subcontracted to (siding, insulation and aluminum) was top notch. Steve, Jason's foreman, was easy to deal with, well informed and always aware of my needs as a landlord. The guys were polite to my tenants and left everything in great shape when they were done. I look forward to having a no-worries flat roof for years to come!

Jason and his team re-shingled the sloped roof of our semi-detached home. His team completed the job in one day and cleaned up after the job was completed. Everything looks nice and the roof has improved the curb appeal of the house. Throughout the day, Jason communicated his team's progress. His original estimate included a cushion for some carpentry work, but he decided it was not needed when the roof was opened up and that a cheaper option would suffice. This showed me that Jason is not out to over charge and has the homeowner's interests in mind when completing the job. I have already recommended Jason and his team to my friends.

Jason Hunter is incredibly patient, honest and willing to take the time to do a thorough review of the situation and give a fair price for the service and workmanship of his team. I had my new roof put on a year ago and am very happy with it. He is very responsive, and punctual. He keeps his word and I would call Jason again with any roof issues. In a recent windstorm, a large patch of shingles were blown off my roof. Canadian Roofing not only took care of the problem promptly and professionally, I could tell they were honest and invested in their work. As a young homeowner, I deeply appreciate the communication, knowledge and integrity of this company. I will call on them for any roofing work that comes up in the future.

Roof leak had me panicking. Exceptional customer service courtesy of Jason Hunter. Called him Friday AM, had crew do onsite inspection + diagnosis within 30 minutes, got a quote shortly after that, then crew came to do the job. From start to finish took less than 5 hours. Now we wait for rain to see if job holds up. I will post an update to this review once we have a chance to verify.

My parents were selling their home to move into a smaller condo. The 25 year old home was in good shape, but they wanted to have a nice roof for the next owners. I called around to some roofing companies in the area, and found that Canadian Roofing was professional and helpful. They worked on time and the expenses were not too much off of the estimate. Would recommend them to anyone!

January brought a decent amount of snow to Toronto. Once the snow began melting we soon discovered a water leak in our daughter’s closet. It was no doubt due to ‘ice damming’ at the edge of the roof near the eaves trough. We called Canadian Roofing Company, which is in our neighbourhood (East York). Within two days they came over and looked at what was happening on the roof. Steve and Justin had me come up on the roof so I could see what they had diagnosed. Basically the flat roof section was not properly done by the previous roofers. There are three layers when the code says there should be a maximum of two (more weight causes the structure to lose its incline, which impacts the evacuation of the water). At the edge of roof the layer was not bonded and you could stick your hand in the hole. There were other issues with the roof, but this area was causing the leak in our home. Jason and Steve took the time to explain the issues regarding the leak and the roof itself, and also our options. That night I got a call from Jason Hunter, he explained to me again the findings of his foreman’s, and also gave me the background of the company (e.g. history, insured and bonded, location of his business, etc.). After discussing with my partner we opted for fixing the leak and not redoing the entire flat section of our roof. Our primary reason was budget constraints at this time. We will not hesitate to call when we are able to complete the entire roof. We thoroughly appreciated working with Jason and his team due to their honesty, integrity, and a fair price.
