    Service Call for Furnace

    Our technician (Adam Walker - Employee #6707) arrived promptly on Saturday, January 5th, 2013 and did a service called. Found he needed a part and advised he would order on Monday and let us know when it came in to come replace. On Monday, he called and said part would be delivered and installed on Tuesday, January 8th, 2013. Adam arrived and promptly did his work. Both times that Adam was at the house he worked in a professional manner, wore slippers over his shoes and provided business card for any issues that arise. On the Tuesday, he also suggested we call in the Spring to have servicing on A/C done once the temperatures got to 20C. Adam was very knowledgeable, thorough and explained in full details everything to my husband. Thank you Adam, our service was impeccable.

    Reliance Water Heater

    I lease a hot water heater from Reliance for my townhouse- in addition to providing hot water, it attaches to a heat exchanger to heat my small home. When I attempted to turn the heat on for my first winter in this place, I realized it was broken and called a Heating/AC company, who identified that the heat exchanger had been damaged by the water heater, as it lacked a working pressure gauge. The repairs cost me over a thousand dollars, and the heating guy told me to get Reliance to replace the defective tank. Reliance sent a contractor to fix the pressure gauge on the water heater tank, but would not replace the tank. Now, several weeks later, the tank has started leaking and has caused extensive damage to the top floor of my townhouse. I had to drain the tank, shut off the gas and the water, and find somewhere else to sleep for the night. Reliance is apparently sending someone tomorrow but they tell me they are not responsible for any damage. I am going to have to pull out the soaked carpets and wood from the floor, and hope that all that water damage hasnt also given me an expensive mould problem- this water heater has been a nightmare for me with no end in sight.

    Furnace check-up

    We had a very prompt response when we called to report an intermittent smell of gas coming from the furnace room. RICK #0861 responded and made a thorough check for gases. He ascertained that a legal but poorly vented tankless water heater (not installed by Reliance) was causing the problem and showed me how it could be overcome. Before leaving he checked over the furnace. Rick was pleasant, courteous, and knowledgeable. He's an excellent representative for his company.

    Furnace

    Furnace failed January 4th overnight. It had just been serviced 3 weeks prior. When I called customer service on January 5th to advise that we had no heat and our home was becoming very cold, she told us she could have a service worker come out the next day (January 6th). Under normal circumstances next day service is a pretty good deal, however we have two small children and waiting more than 24 hours to get heat in January I found unacceptable. When we asked to speak with a supervisor we were told there was not one available on a weekend. The only option the 'customer service rep' had for us was to go buy a space heater to keep the house warm overnight. One of the only reasons we chose Reliance two years ago was for the service plan connected with our furnace, air conditioner an tankless water heater. The first time we require service and this is what we run into. On the positive side, the technician was here by 8:45 on Sunday morning to repair, however it seems he is a little unsure as to why the furnace is failing.

    Furnace

    Our furnace stopped working. Luckily we're on Service Plan for Systems, so we called Reliance and they sent a technician right away. He was outstanding. He quickly got our furnace working again. If you ever have to call Reliance for a technician ask them to send Adam Walker, because he knows his job. We are very thankful to Reliance for it.

    water heater leak/ new water heater

    Our water heater started to leak, it was very old and should probably have been replaced before it had issues. However we called and had a service guy at our house the next day. The service man was great (forgot his name), he called to let me know when he was coming, put down mats to keep my house clean, and was very polite. He did his job quickly and had a new one in place in no time. We are happy with the service!

    furnace blow motor replacement

    Thank you to reliance for being quick and on time in repairing our faulty furnace blower motor. Jason the tech was knowledgeable, clean and on time. Without your quick response to our problem,, we would of froze as it happened in middle of winter. Thank you once again!!!

    Replace the motor on my heating system

    Frank was our service tec. Job well done no problems, I must say we are very happy with his work, took away all the garbage with the old parts and boxes. Thank you Frank employee # 7101.

    Hot Water heater rental

    Our home in Mississauga needed a new water heater. Our current tank was rented with D.E who wanted to make a sale then and there over the phone. Not being comfortable with this I contacted the Mississauga branch of Reliance and spoke directly with Tim, the branch manager. He was fantastic to deal with. He made sure my concerns were addressed. Wanting me to understand all the options available, he sent a very informative sales rep ,Kevin, to my house. I made my choice then and there and was happy to leave D.E! Reliance has a customer for life because of Tim and Kevin!

    Furnace & Water Heater

    From St Thomas. Within about a week I requested furnace maintenance and water heater repair. Very pleased with the service on both calls. Came when they said. Ian did the furnace maintenance and was very pleasant and professional. Jason did the water heater repair. He was also very pleasant and professional. Both were helpful in answering questions on the work being performed. They knew their business. Overall a nice experience with the company. Thank you.
