    New Furnace

Purchased new furnace 2nd one in 3 yrs. First one home inspector found hose caught in fan and repaired it. 2nd one came home after work and felt alot of warm air in basement, My dad was there all day for the install and they said there was something wrong with my duct work. I found a 6x6 inch hole in the back of the furnace duct work where they joined the old plenum to new. I found a piece of metal, cut it,screwed+taped it. There was also black hand prints down my basement stairs and at the top in the living room, they were also supposed to put a tee in so we could hook up a gas hot water tank in future. Called sales person, they said they would be out to take a look at it.Next week called manager + left message, week after called head office -30 min on phone they assured me it would be taken care of. After almost 4 weeks, several phone calls and them getting the contractor that installed the furnace for them to call me (Nauss plumbing+heating) I paid Reliance to do the job . It is quite obvious that my time is worth absolutely nothing-what a waste of time. Customer service is non existing. The Furnace is working fine and the rest of the job is well done. The rating is due to the lack of customer service

    Replace gas water heater

The water heater in our home developed a small leak at the top an I felt it was time to replace it as it was about 10 years old. I didn't want to buy another one, so I got a new rental unit installed by reliance. It was a forced vent gas water heater and when the technician came out he pointed out that our venting was no longer code and had to be replaced. However, the only practical spot he could run the new vent was covered by drywall and he refused to drill there because he said there might be electrical work behind it and he wouldn't wait while I did it. Long story short, I cut out a section of drywall in five minutes but had to wait two days (without hot water and two kids) for him to come back. Once installed, it worked fine. One minor complaint was that when drilling through our siding it cracked and a two inch section broke off. The guy was honest about it and simply caulked over it. Also instead of properly capping off the old vent, as he ran out of caps, he stuffed a little bit of insulation into it and fastened a bit of aluminum foil on the end. The outside vent had a grill to cover it and it kept popping out. I fixed it myself with glue. Overall, an OK job with room for improvement.

Tankless hot water heater & Furnace

Purchased a new condo and was locked into a contract with Reliance. Have been there 1.5 years and the hot water heater has broken twice. Both times, Dynasty, the company that services the equipment, has been completely useless, giving us the run around and not dealing with the problem. Eventually tracked down a senior engineer at Reliance to help with the issue (which is still not fixed) Would never recommend this company to anyone. Terrible customer service. Paying a "home comfort plan" but that means nothing. Expensive and not worth cost.

    Hot Water Tank repair

We recently contacted Reliance to repair a section of 636 Hot Water Tank pipe. They came in to do the work in a timely manner, and made the repairs to code without any hassle. The cost was all towards labour, as the run was less than 3 feet, we did not have to pay for materials, as per the tank rental agreement. In the past, we have had less than satisfactory results with Reliance, so this experience was a great improvement.

    Water Heater

They installed a tankless water heater in our home - installation was on time and everything was neat and tidy when they left. It was a good solution to free up some space in our old basement. All said, no hassles for me, I'm happy.

Installation of the New Water Heater

Reliance has sent a contractor to install a new water heater in my house and after they left I have found out that some tools are missing. I have called Reliance and told them that probably the contractor took my tools by mistake. They assured me that they will follow up on this matter with me within a week. After Almost two months I was still waiting and I called back to question the outcome of my complain and finally a week after recieved a phone call from Reliance told me that their contractor informed them that they have not the tools in their position. Finally after a long discussion Reliance suggested me that next time if I dont feel comfortable and if dont trust the service contractor stay with them watch them carefully make sure they dont take anything from your house but we dont have any responsiblity and can not do anything about it. The contractor get paid $300-350 to install a water heater so what if they could take $200 worth of goods from people, knowing it would take long time anyone find out and even if they do how they can proove it.
