Replacement of our 20 year old Air Conditioner

Reliance Home Comfort came in with the best quote on the best air conditioner on the market. The installers kept the site clean and the AC is the quietest ever A+. I recently had my annual check up and I can honestly say that Reliance Home Comfort is the most professional, easy to work with, and reliable company I have ever worked with. Their salesperson is no nonsense and truly knowledgable. All my questions were answered completely. I would highly recommend this company to anyone looking for any of their home heating or cooling needs. They also service many of the models on the market - so even if you don't need a new one - they can likely service your existing system.

I called to sent me WO that person that came in to `NOT REPAIR`unit and of course they never did. Hustle me for the payment that at the end I gave in. NEVER NEVER NEVER CALL RELIANCE.

    Water tank

I am not sure if I would be recommending Reliance as I have a complaint and I have yet to hear back from them about it. I have emailed them, sent in a letter and still nothing. My first service call with them was very poor. It was a Saturday and they told me I would get a call from there contractor Hot Sauce within 3 hours. After 3 hours no call. Each time I had to call back they never had my information and I had to wait while they found my info in there system. They said I am sorry the contractor has gone home for the day they will call you before 9am. The bootom line is do not call them on the weekend as there weekend contractors do not get back to you.

    customer service

I hate the fact that this company is providing false information to consumers in order to keep their business . This company has their customer service reps providing us with incorrect information, about where there from and other competitors. This company doesn't have our interest at heart, they never do and will never. They have competition now, so they have to find ways to keep their customer, but giving false information isn't the correct way. they never tell you that your rates will increase the older the tank gets. their price for the rental changes every year, so you are using more gas to hot your water and you are paying more money for an older tank, because their rates increases every year. I tried to get my removal number from them, instead of them giving me this number, they started to give me a lot of false information about the company I was switching to. Not knowing I would have provided the other company with the call. I finally said I just want the number and the rep continue to tell me things that I know wasn't correct. they told me that I have to pay a closing fee and I never had a contract with them to rent their tank. why do we need to pay them a closing fee, when there was no contract between them and us.

    Replace Water Heater

I have been very unimpressed with the service provided by Reliance Home Comfort. They have sent people to my door to have my water heater replaced. I finally agreed and set up a time for installation. They ensured me that the workers would be there as close to 9am as possible, but they didn't show up until 11:30. Once they arrived, they informed me that I was going to have to set up a new appointment because they didn't have the right tools to properly complete the job. Having read other reviews online, I am happy that I have cancelled my service with them.

    Faulty furnace

Dear Reliance, I have cancelled the direct debit I have with Reliance. This is because your customer service has persistently failed to resolve the problem of the defective furnace. I have phoned several times without result. Customer service has told me someone will phone me back but they never do. I will be out of the country for the next few weeks. When I return on May 24th I expect Reliance to have provided me with a viable course of action. The first item on this course of action will be a reimbursement of my time spent phoning Reliance and waiting on hold. The cumulative total of this time this year is 2 hour and 7 minutes. My hourly rate at work is billed at $137.00. I expect commensurate reimbursement. The second item on this course of action will be a means to ensure the furnace works - this course of action will include a plan for reimbursement in the event that either myself or my wife has to take time off work when the technicians work on the furnace. Alternatively, the technicians can work between the hours of 1600 and 2000 every Monday until the new furnace is installed. Your decision. I expect an e-mail - there is no point you phoning me as I will not be here - from Reliance when I return on May 24th and I will contact Reliance within five weeks of my return - this time frame is still well within the timeframe that Reliance considers an appropriate time to return calls. If you haven't heard from me by the beginning of July I suggest you start leaving messages. After all, that's what I've been doing for the last few months! If the e-mail does not contain a viable course of action (see above) then you won't hear from me until I receive on that does. Simple.

    Furnace Repair

Called Reliance Thursday 6 pm and reported no heat. Serviceman arrived 3pm next day. Said my heat exchanger was bad & reported defect to Union Gas. Said he would have salesman call me re repair or replacement. At 6 pm Monday (no heat since thursday), I called Reliance and said WHATS HAPPENING! Said they would check into it. Called later and said a serviceman would come Tuesday afternoon. New serviceman said it would cost $1,000.00 to replace heat exchanger even though manufacturer had a lifetime warranty! And NOTHING WAS COVERED BY MY SERVICE PLAN I HAD BEEN PAYING FOR YEARS! I had a new heat exchanger installed the next day by another heating contractor for $ 450.00 plus taxes. THANKS FOR NOTHING, RELIANCE HOME COMFORT!

    Hot water heater

we realized the cost of a monthly rental for hot water heaters was a rip off so we installed our own and tried to cancel the monthly payments. They used every excuse they could think of to keep sending us the bills. They said they needed the serial numbers on the hot water tanks we threw away. We didn't have them as the tanks were old, rotten and disposed of. Out of 5 tanks we were renting(all of which have been replaced) they are still charging us for one. The last one was replaced 15 months ago. When I saw the latest bill I called them AGAIN. This time they said they had no evidence of the previous call and just kept billing us. Now they are threatening to compromise our credit rating by letting on they have to set up a payment plan. Our large business is plenty capable of paying it's just that we have been paying for something we don't even have. This company is one big rip off after another.

hot water tank needed new control

No hot water for rental. Called on Sunday @ Noon. Told no work done on Sunday so appointment made for Monday between 10-2pm. At 1:50pm I CALL THEM & am told technician won't be there until at least 3pm. Again, no coutersy call, let alone not showing up on time. Service reps give me hollow apologies & I reshedule because I have to go to work after wasting a day. So Reliance...with door to door hot water renters pressuring your business..where is yur customer service you tout?? What is my wasted day worth? I try for some satisfaction on phone but they act like it is just another pest customer. Am looking into buying my own tank now.

    Fixed air conditioner

They came in on time as scheduled, they quickly responded to our call, they were fast at the job and very informative. The man was very friendly and took so much time explaining the air conditiong system to us and showing us how it works.
