    Horrible Experience

    Horrible Experience - My water heater was leaking and I called Reliance and explained the situation. My monthly rental fee includes servicing and replacement of parts and equipment if needed. A technician arrived on Monday (Feb 19th) and informed us that the water tank has to be replaced (free of charge to us) but we will have to pay for the piping that ($165 +) had to be replaced in keeping with the new codes. I agreed and two technicians arrived on Feb 24th and replaced the water tank and gave me an invoice of $183.06 for the pipe replacement. As this was done in the late morning my family and I left home in the evening and returned back home about 4 hours later around 8:30 pm. As soon as we opened the door we could smell gas and realized that there was a gas leak inside the house. We knew it was from the water heater and called Reliance first and they advised us to call emergency services. We then called Enbridge emergency services and was asked to evacuate the house immediately and wait for the Enbridge rep to arrive. My family and I were standing outside in our driveway in -2 temperature for almost an hour when the Enbridge rep arrived. He checked the water heater and mentioned that gas was leaking from a few places and that the Reliance technicians had not installed the heater correctly. Enbridge issued 2 warnings for the Reliance technician for violating two codes. I called Reliance once again and explained the situation and they booked another technician to arrive on Sunday (Feb 25th). When I mentioned the inconvenience that I had to go through due to the negligence of their crew the Supervisor that I was speaking to offered me a $50. credit which I politely refused. On Feb 25th (Sunday) a Reliance technician did arrive at our house and after inspecting the Water Heater advised us that it had been installed incorrectly and would have to be re-installed. He also said that he cannot do it by himself and would need another technician to assist him. When he spoke to Reliance it was mentioned that nothing could be done on the 25th and that the technicians were scheduled to arrive Monday morning (Feb 26th). As both my wife and I will be at work in the morning I had to call Reliance once again and schedule the appointment for the evening and they did confirm that a Technician would arrive at 6pm on Monday Feb.26th. On Monday Feb 26th I received a call on my cell phone at around 1.30pm and a Reliance technician informed me that he was on his way to my place to move the Water Heater. I mentioned to him that the appointment was at 6 pm and that there was no one at home at that time. The technician replied that he wasn't aware of it and would be informing Reliance about it. I left work early to be at home at 6 pm and around 7 pm decided to call Reliance as no Technician showed up. When I called Reliance I was told that the Technician had called home and left a message (there was a voice mail from the Technician on our home phone) to inform us that he cannot make it in the evening. When I mentioned to Reliance that the appointment was at 6 pm they had no record of it. Also to my surprise each time I called Reliance I was made to feel that it was my request to move the water heater and there seem to be no record at all of the negligence and gas leak caused by their Technicians. It is now Monday night and I have had no hot water for the past 72 hours. I regret now that I decided to go with Reliance and have already started the process to look for a new provider.

    Satisfied Customer

    Mike and crew was totally professional. They arrived on time, completed the installation, cleaned the work area as well as advising me how to use the system during the allotted time. I will definitely recommend Mike and crew to my friends and family. Good Job!

    Service

    I called Reliance because I pay a low monthly fee which covers all plumbing in my home if I ever have any issues. I noticed there was a dripping sound and the paint/drywall was peeling. The very next day they sent a very courteous and professional technician named Cory/Cody out to inspect and repair the concern. If I did not have protection plan it would have cost me hundreds of dollars to repair independently. This was the third time in a year that they have repaired issues in my home for no additional costs. I would definitely recommend their protection plan and services to any home owner for peace of mind knowing that they will solve your problems promptly.

    install furnace with a/c, humidifier

    Sales rep Tim was great...answered all my questions. The installation was done quickly and efficiently by Brian and Andrew. They showed me how the system works and the whole job took 4 hours.

    furnace/air conditioner

    Momo was very thorough and explained everything completely. I am very satisfied with the service, and am looking forward to my new furnace / air conditioner. Would not hesitate to recommend.

    hot water tank replacement

    I called to report a leaking hot water tank, a service tech was sent out the next day.(sunday before the long weekend) . He confirmed that the tank needed to be replaced and called for a time to be set up. I was told that the earliest time would be tuesday morning. I called reliace again and they said because of the long weekend that tuesday was the only time. I was not happy and wanted to talk to the complaint department but they don't work weekends, so much for service that you pay for. The service tech, Alex , great guy, could not figure out why so he called his supervisor and between them, arrangements were made and the tank was replaced within 3 hours by Andrew and Dan who work for Heatmasters. They were very professional and curteous. Alex, Andrew and Dan put the service to the customer a priority, well done.

    Furnace and AC

    A rep came to our house to give us a quote on renting or buying a new AC and heating unit.. Very professional and lots of information was made available to us...not TOO pushy as a sales person, but very easy to talk to. We have some discussion on the matter before we can decide. Thanks.

    Great Plumbing Service!

    I got an amazing service frim Blake P #3821. He was professional, courteous and on time. He also explained what he was doing and set the proper expectation. Highly recommended plumber.

    Water heater leaking

    Francis was quick in getting here and figuring out what the problem was. Once figured out he had the repair done and out in about 30 min. Cleaned up everything and very friendly.

    Highly Recommend!!

    We installed two furnace/air units installed. I can’t say enough good things about Alicia, our sales rep, who not only went above and beyond at our one home... but immediately addressed our second home upon request with no appointment. She didn’t just stop at selling us their products and once the deal was done forget about us. She went out of her way to give a courtesy call after each installation and ensure all was satisfactory. It was beyond satisfactory! Alicia set us up with a great installation team, Josh and Alex. These guys are happy, hard working young men. Super friendly, very informative, happy to take the time to answer any questions or even show you how to work something. They work well together, respect your home and are very efficient in their job.
