    Repair

    I needed repair on my water tank. A call was made and within 30 minutes a technician arrived. I had received exceptional customer service which was provided by Abdullah #3936. He was efficient and professional. I can not say enough about him. I highly recommend him for any services needed. Well done Reliance.

    Excellent service

    Today I had "Rob" from Sudbury Home Reliance come to our home to do a maintenance on our air conditioning system. He called before arriving which I really appreciate. The service he provided was fast and very efficient. He was very friendly and offered some helpful advise. He excelled with regards to excellent customer service. We are by far, a very satisfied customer.

    Boiler

    I had Reliance come in to service a boiler in a new home. They promptly cut off the current boiler saying it was leaking CO2 - there was a working CO2 detector within range that was going off. This was done in the middle of February. They offered to have a sales person there that night and have a new boiler installed the next day. The boiler is great and the tech installing was nice but the entire experince left a bad taste

    hot water tank repair

    I called Reliance after our rental hot water tank failed to provide hot water. The friendly customer service rep advised that a technician could be on site within a 3 hour window. Within about 20 minutes, I received a call from Jamey, the technician, who advised he would arrive in about 30 minutes. Upon arrival, Jamie quickly diagnosed the problem, had a replacement part in his vehicle, and made the repair in short order. He was pleasant to chat with, and it was clear that he took particular care in his work to ensure the natural gas hot water tank was safe to use again. Thanks for the excellent service!

    AC Repair

    At first we thought it was just for AC repair, but there turned out to be a lot more problems, including the furnace, some fuses and wiring issues, however Gabe, was an extraordinary repair man and stayed at our house for hours resolving each issue until it was done. I am very pleased with the amazing service he gave us and it's because of people like him this company is doing so well!

    Hot water heater repair

    Excellent fast service. Very friendly and professional technicians. They called before arriving, which I really appreciated. I rate their service 100%. I will definitely call them again. And no charge as it's under the warranty.

    Air Condition

    Derek #RCS2393 came this afternoon to check our AC he found the problem and fix it also explain everything we need to know. He is definitely an excellent asset for your company. Thank you Derek we are more than happy with the service you provide us!!

    installation

    We had 2 great gentleman Shawn and Jeremy come to install a furnace and a air conditioner. The service they gave was outstanding. They were very polite and hard working . We were quite surprised at the speed and quality of there work . So thank you to the two gentleman for the great service you provided for our home .

    Furnace and AC install

    Great service and install by two professionals-Dan and Chris. They were very pleasant to deal with and knowledgeable with explaining the unit operating systems. Was very pleased with their work.

    Run away from this company

    Called Reliance early July to get someone to come look at my AC/Furnace because I used two people that I found with high reviews on yellow pages and I don't think they sufficiently dealt with the water that is pooling under my furnace when the AC is on. This is one of the worst decisions I've ever made. The person on the phone told me that if I had a protection plan that this call would have been covered. Since my unit is working, I agreed to open an account. The only condition was that I had to wait 21 days for the account to be active. I was told that I would receive a welcome package in the mail. Fast forward. Two weeks later, no package had arrived so I called them up and to my dismay, nothing was setup. I was upset as I had already waited for almost three weeks at this point. To make things right, I was promised that they would do an override to make the account active by the date it should have been active - August 11. I even got a confirmation number. I called last Saturday August 12 to request service and guess what - I was told that I need to wait three weeks - the override was not applied. At this point, I made the decision to cancel the account because after two strikes it's quite clear that they are completely dysfunctional and incompetent. It gets worse. I said to the person - "Just send a technician and I'll pay out of pocket". I asked how much it would cost and I was told $99+tax. I asked again about three times and got the same answer - $99 - I'm sure this call is recorded. The tech (Malik) showed up and looked at my unit and recommended that I replace my furnace and AC. He wrote me a bill and guess what? There was a labour charge for $102. But they were generous to give me a discount of $20.80. My total bill came to $211.53 ($211.54 posted to my credit card). The tech said he could not leave and he could not adjust the invoice because that is what the system is instructing him to do. I make excellent decisions 99.9% of the times. This is in the 0.1%. I agreed to pay as it was Saturday and I had a lot of activities going on. I didn't want to get on the phone and call and I didn't want this guy stuck at my home. I figured I would call on Monday to resolve the issue and get a refund. I just called them - for some reason, I always seem to get service agents from the Philippine location. They are never able to help. Two strikes on the account setup failure. When I explained my issue to them today - they said that the resolution office was experiencing high call volumes so they will have to call me back. Now - from what I've experienced so far, what are the odds that they will call me back - nil! I will get my money back but it will be painful for sure and I should suffer because I made a stupid decision. This is one of the rare moments when I don’t follow this quote: “When someone shows you who they are, believe them the first time”. I am writing this review to spare another potential customers grief. My advice - stay away. My advice to reliance, get your act together and get rid of your satellite office - it's a waste of time.
